Annabel came back few minutes later with a blue gown reaching below her knees
“Welcome Mr. Adams”She greeted
Adams nodded and made his way to the couch. He glanced around the living room. It was quite beautiful and tidy too. Their was flat screen television at the front and beautiful brown leather couch.
Adams sat down and looked into her laptop
“What’re you doing?” He asked
“Um…I’m making a design”
He looked at it closely
“Are you an engineering student?”
She nodded and he was delighted but he his his happiness behind a grin
“What can I offer you?” She asked
“Water would be fine”
She made for the kitchen and came back with a glass of water
Adams took it and asked
“Why isn’t it cold?”
“Because you don’t like cold water” She replied
“Correct answer which brings me to my question and the reason why I came here”
“Okay?”She was confused
“Why aren’t you working at the restaurant again?”He asked looking at her
She looked away
“I quit”She answered
“Why?”
“I wanted to find something better to do”
She didn’t want Adams to know it was Charlotte’s fault she was fired to avoid causing more trouble for Mr.Wilson and herself.
Although,she still can’t understand why he’s helping her
“What kind of job are you looking for?”Adams asked taking a drink
“Anyone will do”
“Okay”
“But why do you ask?”
He stood up
“Cause I wanna know”
“Why are you being nice to me?”She has always wanted to ask that question
“Me? Being nice to you? I’m not being nice. I’m only trying to help someone in need”
Annabel twitched her brows
“What did you say?”
“Aren’t you in need?”
“Hey mister,I never asked for your help neither am I in need. I’m okay with where I am”
“But you’re looking for a job”
“That’s not enough reason for you to say that” She frowned
Adams had a smug look on his face and it triggered her anger
“Give me my glass cup and get out of my house Adams” She collected the cup from him,dropped it on the center table and pushed him out
“What did I do?”
“You’re not welcomed here” She finally pushed him outside
Alexa entered and that was the first welcome she received. Getting to witness the almighty Adams being thrown out
Adams smirked and entered the car
At least he was able to see her and that’s all that matters
Alexa dragged Annabel into the house
“Now,tell me everything that happened”

AMUSEMENT PARK
Lisa sat on a swing with Gideon sitting beside her. He has just picked her up from school after the final rehearsals.
“Next tomorrow is the big day right?” He asked
“Yeah and I’m nervous” She replied
“It’s okay to be nervous now but let it fly when you climb the stage of the runway okay?”
“Okay. The worst part is that we are going to be competing against Sunset High School”
“How about them?”
“They are the best on the runway. They’ve won three years in a roll with our school always lagging behind” Lisa said scratching her hair
“I have a feeling they won’t win this year”
“Why?”
“Cause there is a special person that’s gonna bring the trophy home for Star Model high school”
“Really? Who’s that?”Lisa asked
“It’s you of course”
“You really think so?”
“I know so”
She smiles
“Thanks for believing in me”
Her phone rings and she saw that it was Annabel
?Hey Annie,Good afternoon
?Whete are you? Don’t you know you’re 10 minutes late?
?I….
?And you have a journey to embark on tomorrow
?I am sorry Annie. I’m on my way now
?Is Gideon there?
?Yes
?I knew it. Tell him to bring you home this instant
?Okay I will. Jeez stop acting like a meddling mother
?I’m not. Five minutes
She cuts the call and Lisa laughed
“Let’s go Gideon,She wants me home” Lisa got down from the swing
He nodded and got down too and they made for the car.

Lisa and the rest took the school bus for the City’s Modeling Company who organized the competition.
After their arrival,they were all shown to their quarters. Boys had theirs separated from the girls.
There were 50 schools in all that came for the competition

NEW YORK CITY-EVELYN HALLS EVENT CENTER
The center was filled with different spectators from different countries,all ready to witness the competition.
The runway was ready for the models to use and cheers filled everywhere.
The competition finally began and Sarah was evicted in the first round.
They kept going and going till they reached the finals with only Lisa and Dylan asked the final contestant for the school.
It took two days before the finals and Annabel was there to cheer her on
Few minutes to the final round…
Lisa met with the top model of Sunset high school
Her name was Clara
“Hi Clara. Great that we’re in the finals together right?”
“Who are you?”Clara asked rudely
“Oh I’m Lisa. Finalist for Star Models High School” Lisa replied smiling
“Oh yeah. So you’re in the finals right?”
“Yeah”
“Just so you know I’m the best model around here. I’ve always won for my school and we’ve won three years in a roll with no one able to beat us. So if you think because you’re a year younger than me you can do better,you lie cause I’m taking you down” Clara said
“May the best model win then”Lisa said
“Of course I will. I’ve always won” Clara said and walked away
Lisa stood there and vowed to win this competition and shut Clara up too.

The next day came and it was time for the finals.
Clara was the first to come out and the hall shook with applause after she was done.
Two schools did there’s an Lisa ended the whole show
Her performance was so spectacular that the judges stood to their feet to applaud her.
And then it was time for the announcement of results.
Lisa,Clara and three other girls were called forward
Starting from the fifth position down to the third,the other girls were called remaining Lisa and Clara.
“And the second position goes to…..”
