CHAPTER 12

GG DIAMONDS BUILDING **

Jemma and the board members had a brief meeting on their next project.

“That will be all for today” Jemma announced and Weston raised his hand.

“Mr Hong do you have anything to add to our conclusions?” Jemma asked as she sat back.

“I have a request” Weston said.

“Okay, let’s hear it out”

“I want Mr Chen removed from this project” Weston said professionally and Caleb looked at him in shock.

“If you don’t mind Mr Hong, can you tell us why you want him out of the project?” Jemma asked curiously.

“Because I’m part of this project and I prefer working with people who has experience and that’s you. Mr Chen is known for being perfect with his job as the financial secretary, if you know what I mean. Don’t you all agree?” Weston asked and all the board members nodded positively.

“Mr Chen also has an experience on this line of field but since you want him out, we will proceed with that. Do we all agree with Mr Hong’s request?” Jemma asked professionally.

“We don’t have a problem with that” The board members concurred.

“Should I at least defend or speak up for myself at least” Caleb spoke up.

“You don’t have any choice but to concur because I’m partially involved in this project and since I’m involved, you have to be out. I’m pretty sure you would get other opportunities, don’t place all your eggs in one basket” Weston said and stood up.

“That will be all for today” Jemma said and everyone left the conference room.

Caleb ran behind Weston.

“Do you have a problem with me?” Caleb asked seriously, stopping Weston from walking.

Weston turned around.

“Don’t sound so childish. Why would I have a problem with you? If you’re asking me this because of what I said at the conference room then don’t.

I don’t jump to conclusions without research, I read in one of my sources on how you once ruined a launching party because of your lack of experience and I don’t plan on making that mistake repeat itself.

I’m sorry if it didn’t work on your favor but I love doing a perfect job without flaws and that’s how I got here. Excuse me” Weston said and walked away.

Love doing a perfect job without flaws… That statement sounds very familiar. Caleb said and searched for Weston’s data online.

“Weston, Jemma’s ex!” Caleb gasped with anger in his eyes.

~~ JEMMA’S OFFICE**

Caleb barged into Jemma’s office. She raised her head up staring at him.

“What do you want?” Jemma asked coldly as she went back to what she was doing.

“Are you really into this with Weston?” Caleb asked sarcastically and Jemma glared at him.

“Mr Hong, you should show some respect Caleb. If you’re acting this way because of the board members conclusions on the project then drop it, you shouldn’t be acting childish on times like this. You should focus on other things” Jemma shrugged.

“Jemma you’re my wife, you should have at least spoke up for me but no, you agreed to his terms. Is he the only one who’s important in this company?” Caleb asked seriously.

“Caleb I’m not just your wife, I’m also the CEO of this company and it’s my duty to look after the growth and well being of what my dad worked so hard for so I would appreciate it if you stop being sentimental and as you can see, I’m very busy right now” Jemma reminded with a mean expression.

“This conversation isn’t over Jemma. I will go for now but I will be back so we finish this conversation” Caleb said and walked out of the office.

Jemma’s phone started ringing. It’s a call from unknown number.

“Who could it be?” Jemma questioned before taking the call.

“Mrs Chen can you meet with me outside the company, I just got an inspiration on how we should organize the launching” Weston said over the phone and Jemma had a glance at her wristwatch.

“Like right now? Can’t we schedule that for some other time?” Jemma requested.

“I don’t think there’s any other time better than now. It won’t take up more than five minutes.
