CHAPTER 14
~~ TRADITIONAL RESTAURANT**
Eli and the rest of the drama club members got to the restaurant they would be having dinner.
“What the heck! What kind of a restaurant is this? Is this the kind of place you guys had in mind?” Eli asked disgustingly as they got out of their cars.
“Eli relax on, eating in a traditional restaurant isn’t a bad idea so let’s just enjoy our dinner” Zed said with a smile and Eli glared at him.
“I’ve never been to a restaurant like this before. Do you think it’s a good idea eating in a place like this” Eli said with a blank expression and Ruby brushed his shoulders.
“You’re treating us for dinner so stop complaining, let’s go in already. It’s getting late and many of us don’t stay out late. And you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover” Ruby said calmly then went into the restaurant.
“Eli, my friends checked on this restaurant before and they said they prepare delicious meals. If we check out their dishes and it doesn’t suit our taste then we can go somewhere else and that will be my treat” One of the members said with a smile.
“That’s quite generous of you Vicky” Zed said with a smile.
They all head into the restaurant and they sat on the largest table. Ruby sat next to Eli without him even noticing.
“Menu please” Ruby requested politely and the waitress walked to their table.
“Here’s your menu” The waitress said handing the menu to Ruby.
“I would have this, this, this and this” Ruby ordered pointing at the dishes on the menu.
“Didn’t you eat at home?” Eli teased and Ruby rolled her eyes.
“You made me exhaust all my energy at school and it’s only normal that I refill” Ruby pouted.
“Ruby I think we should’ve let the president pick a meal first” Vicky suggested.
“It’s alright. You guys order first, I’m not in a hurry” Eli said calmly as he began to scroll through his phone.
Everyone ordered their dishes, Eli was the only one left.
“Would you like to place an order?” The waitress asked and Eli took the menu from her.
“Hmm….” Eli hummed as he thought deeply on what to pick from the menu.
“I would have cold noodles and wrapped boiled beef” Eli ordered and everyone fixed their eyes on him.
“Your orders will be ready in five minutes” The waitress announced before leaving.
“Eli is that all you will be having tonight? I thought you were a heavy eater” Zed whispered and Eli smiled.
“Not really.. I just suddenly don’t feel like eating much tonight. I’m pretty sure mum made dinner, she would feel upset if I don’t even take a bite” Eli whispered.
“What’s happening today? Why would you even think that. Aunt doesn’t enter the kitchen” Zed reminded.
“I’m hoping today, she would so let’s just say it’s a instinct”
The waitress brought their orders placing them on the table.
“Thank you for the food” They all chorused excitedly.
“Let’s eat” Eli announced with a half smile as he picked up his chopsticks.
Ruby snatched one of his boiled wrapped beef and threw it into her mouth.
She chew on it slowly.
“What’s this!” Ruby gasped with a blank expression on her face.
“What’s wrong?” Everyone asked curiously.
“It’s so delicious. Now I see why Eli ordered it” Ruby said with a wide smile.
“If you think it’s that delicious, I can share it with you” Eli said calmly then he began to eat his noodles elegantly.
Ruby watched him and a smile appeared on her lips.
I’ve only known him for a few days but he’s not that bad of a guy. He’s actually very nice. Ruby thought.
“Don’t think about it too much. Eli might be grumpy and arrogant but he’s never petty when it comes to sharing his food” Zed cut in through her thoughts.
“Waiter please can we get some bottles of soju please” Zed ordered.
“This is actually very good. I will keep this location in mind” Eli complimented and everyone laughed.
A beep came on Eli’s phone. It was a message. He opened it and he dropped his chopsticks on the table.
“What happened Eli?” Zed asked curiously as he noticed Eli’s expression.
“Sorry guys but let’s call it a day. I have to go now. See you guys tomorrow in school” Eli said with a blank expression then stood up.
“Is everything okay?” They asked curiously.
“Of course. Good night guys” Eli said and walked to the counter.
“How much is the bill?” He asked curiously as he opened his wallet.
“Here’s your bill sir” The waitress said and Eli placed some on her hands.
“Will that be enough?” Eli asked curiously.
“Yes sir, have a great evening sir” She said and Eli sauntered out of the restaurant.

WESTON’S BUILDING**
Suzy successfully removed Weston’s shirt but his phone started ringing, bringing him back to his senses.
Weston opened his eyes and found Suzy on top of him. He pvshed her hard.
“What the h’ll are you doing Suzy?” Weston asked seriously and Suzy tried to get closer to him.
“Listen to me sir, you need a woman in your life. I can be that woman Weston, let me be that woman who would hug you and kiss you with warmth. For how long do you plan on living without a woman” Suzy said smiling trying to touch him but he moved away.
“Don’t you dare touch me. Upholding such evil thoughts made you lose this job. You’re fired Suzy” Weston yelled but held his head as he felt such a painful headache.
“Let’s drop the serious tone. Let’s discuss business” Suzy said se..ductively and Weston laughed as he managed to get off the bed.
“Business?” Weston scoffed.
“Yes business. How much do you wanted, just spend the night with me..”
Weston laughed hard on hearing that.
“I’ve never heard anything so ridiculous in my whole life. You want a night stand with me for exchange of money?” Weston asked holding back his laugh.
“Exactly” Suzy said and Weston laughed.
“Minutes ago, I was so drunk but right now I think I don’t feel tipsy anymore. Before I get back my conscious mind completely, I need you to pack your things and leave my house. If you need a psychiatrist, I might help you with one” Weston said with a mean look.
“Weston please listen to me. I love you so much and I don’t mind spending all my fortune just to spend a night with you. Please hear me out and this will benefit the both of us trust me” Suzy said almost in tears as she jumped on Weston, hugging him forcefully.
“Get off me Suzy” Weston yelled as he struggled to shove her off.
“Get off me” He added then pushed her. She fell to the ground.
Weston picked up his jacket quickly and brought out his phone which was ringing continuously.
He took the call. It was Gabriel calling.
“Weston the reporter lady was sent by your maid Suzy. She had a hand in it and to make matters even worse. She’s a senator’s daughter, she’s from a rich home” Gabriel said over the phone and Weston looked at Suzy angrily.
“I’ve heard you. I need to deal with something first” Weston said seriously then hung up.
“Why did you hide your identity?” Weston asked seriously as he glared at Suzy buy just then the doorbell rang.

THE CHEN’S BUILDING**
Eli rushed back home.
Jemma was at the dinning table, dishing dinner.
She had a glance at her watch and sighed. Caleb was sitting at the other end of the table.
“Why aren’t they back yet?” Jemma whispered before seating down.
“I’m pretty sure they’re on their way” Caleb cut in.
“No one asked you. As if I’m not aware of that” Jemma said rudely.
“Jemma you came up with the idea of us getting a divorce so I would appreciate it if you keep my affair with Olivia confidential” Caleb said shamelessly and Jemma laughed.
“Why? Are you scared your kids will hate you if they find out the truth behind our divorce”
“You had an affair as well so don’t judge me. Who fell out of love and it’s not our fault, we tried our best to make things work” Caleb said slowly.
“Just shut it Caleb. We’ve concluded on getting a divorce and just for your information, I’m not doing this because I had an affair but because the sight of you disgust me. I’m hoping you don’t regret replacing me for someone else” Jemma said and just then Eli opened the door and came in.
Josie came in as well.
“You’re here” Jemma said with a smile.
“Mum I was at the library when I saw your message. Mum is everything okay? Dad you’re home early” Josie uttered before sitting down.
“Everything’s fine dear” Caleb said with a smile and Eli sat down.
“If everything’s fine then why are we having a family meeting. We haven’t done this for ages” Eli said coldly.
“Let’s have dinner first” Jemma cut in.
“Mum you prepared dinner tonight?” Josie asked excitedly.
“Of course sweetie. I know how much you love my cooking so enjoy” Jemma said smiling.
Eli smiled as he had a spoon of chicken soup.
“Mum your cooking is really spectacular but mum are we celebrating anything today?” Josie asked with food in her mouth.
“Swallow your food first. I’ve told the chefs to stop coming because from now on, I will prepare our meals and this might be the last meal from me to someone” Jemma said coldly.
“Someone?” Eli asked curiously.
“Nevermind” Jemma said.
“Let’s just eat in some quiet” Caleb cut in.
Minutes later they were done eating…
“So mum what’s the family meeting for?” Eli asked.
“Your dad and I are getting a divorce” Jemma announced coldly and Josie’s eyes went wide open.
“What!” Eli and Josie gasped in shock.
“We’ve thought about it through and through and concluded on getting a divorce so I’m hoping the both of you approve of our decision” Jemma said slowly.
“Dad why are you not saying anything? Did the both of you really think of something like this?” Josie asked almost in tears.
“What the h’ll is this mum? A divorce out of the blue? Didn’t you even think of us before making such a decision?” Eli asked rudely as he stood up from his seat.
“I disapprove” Josie yelled sobbing then ran to her room.
