“Thank you” Ruby blushed and Eli sat back.
“I wasn’t referring to you. I meant that sticker next to you at the door, it’s beautiful” Eli pointed out and Ruby hissed.
“I actually thought you were complimenting me. Why would you be complimenting a sticker out of the blue, it doesn’t even look new” Ruby whined.
“Why are you overreacting? Were you hoping to get such a compliment from me? Do you truly have feelings for me?” Eli teased.
“No way, why do you keep making assumptions like that? Or are you trying to say you feel something for me” Ruby uttered faking a smile and Eli scoffed.
“Hell no, not even in your widest dreams. Knock it off and get in, I’m pretty sure your dad’s waiting for you” Eli said with his hands on the steering.
Ruby glared at him before getting down.
“Jerk!” Ruby screamed as she got down and Eli drove off with a smile on his face.
“That really pissed her off” Eli laughed.
But why on Earth did I spout out such compliment? What on earth was I thinking? There’s no way, I have feelings for Ruby. That’s an impossible tense and thought. Eli said in his head with a scoff.
Eli drove back home…

~THE CHEN’S BUILDING**
Eli got into the sitting room and he heard a loud laughter.
“My goodness, this is the most amazing scene in this drama. There’s no way I’m missing it” Zed laughed out loud as he sat on the floor with Josie and their eyes fixed on the TV.
“Isn’t it too early to be watching dramas? Zed don’t you have plans for the weekend? Josie I thought you had math lessons with your friends?” Eli reminded as he joined them but he sat on the couch and grabbed an handful of popcorn from Josie’s popcorn cup.
“I’ve got other plans but I cancelled all of it. Eli it’s been a while, I had such a relaxing Saturday. I’ve got load of things to take care of at home but of course, I’m obviously declining to attend to any of it. Eli since you’re here, why not join us” Zed said with a smile and his eyes still fixed on the TV.
“Josie what about you? What do you plan on doing about your lessons”
“Bro you’re distracting me. If you’re not going to watch with us, can you not at least distract us” Josie groaned.
“Oh no, he transformed into a zombie as well” Eli screamed out in shock.
Zed and Josie looked at each other and laughed.
“Why are the both of you laughing? It’s quite an intense scene, I can’t believe the both of you can still laugh. Of all collections why horror? What episode is this?” Eli asked curiously.
“Episode three” Zed said and Eli sat on the floor.
“They haven’t gone far yet, I can still catch up” Eli said with his full concentration on the TV.
Jemma came out to the sitting room after calling Weston over the phone but he didn’t take her calls. She’s all dressed up in a tracksuit with a sunshade on.
“Kids, I’m heading out. Take care of yourselves okay” Jemma said softly and they all looked at her.
Their jaw dropped in admiration.
“Mum what are you putting on? Are you going out to workout or spy on someone?” Eli asked curiously.
Jemma smiled.
“No no no… I only workout at the gym house. By the way, I won’t be back early so take care” Jemma said and went out.
“Is it just me or your mum looks stunning today?” Zed blurted.
“I’ve never seen mum, put on something like that before. It feels like she’s back to being in her twenties” Josie uttered slowly.
“Even more, like she has a crush now” Eli added.
“Eli is it okay for us to make an assumption like that? Won’t you guys feel hurt?” Zed asked and they both nodded in disagree.
“Of course not” Eli and Josie uttered in unison.
Jemma went outside the gate and the driver have already parked the car outside.
Jemma brushed her hair to her back in a slow motion before getting into the car.
Caleb saw her from afar and he lost his focus.
“Where’s Jemma heading to, looking all dolled up?” Caleb uttered out after putting himself together.
His phone started ringing. It’s Olivia calling.
Caleb got into his car before taking the call.
“Yes Honey” Caleb said with a silly smile.
“I need to go to the hospital and you promised to complete our marriage rights today but you still haven’t spoken to my parents yet” Olivia complained over the phone.
“Olivia you know this isn’t an easy step for me as well. My parents will throw a fit, if they learn I’m getting married when my divorce with Jemma isn’t even upto a month. Can’t we just wait for the next month and your baby bump isn’t showing yet so let’s shift all the preparations till next month” Caleb persuaded.
“Alright but you haven’t been concentrating on the monetary part. I know so well, you used all your savings to buy us a house and you’re jobless now”
“You think I don’t know that but why do you keep rubbing it to my face that I’m jobless. I can handle it so quit talking about it and stuffs like this, aren’t supposed to be discussed over the phone. When will you grow up Olivia, you just act so inconsiderate sometimes and it’s annoying” Caleb said getting pissed and he hung up.
“Is it because she’s pregnant or what? Her attitudes really sucks sometimes” Caleb hissed and began to dial some businessmen’s contact.
“Hello Mr Jin, I waited for your call all day but I didn’t get any from you. Have you considered letting me join your company? You know so well how good I am in this field” Caleb said with a smile over the phone.
“Mr Chen, I will be frank with you. I’ve not no intentions of hiring new staffs and you know my company isn’t as big as that of your wife. It isn’t too late, you can still beg your ex-wife to take you back in GG diamonds. That’s the only company that can hire a man with your high level qualifications. Oh yeah and again, you can also write an application to silver lines, I heard they’re recruiting” Mr Jin said.
“Thank you, I will work on that. Bye” Caleb said coldly then hung up.
Silver lines… That’s Weston Hong’s company. I will rather beg Jemma to take me in than go to his company. Caleb uttered in his head with anger and jealousy written all over his face.
“What’s so good about him anyway? He’s no better than me”

Jemma drove down to the gym house Weston usually visits.
Jemma had a flashback on how she spied on Weston’s Stargram posts and she saw a photo of the gym house he visits every Saturday morning.
“Let’s see if you’re going to ignore me here as well” Jemma scoffed before going into the gym house.
I can’t believe you didn’t call to ask if I had a safe trip back home so inconsiderate of you Weston. Jemma groaned in her head.
Jemma walked in majestically and everyone’s jaw dropped as they watched Jemma catwalk from the door.
She got in and quickly searched around for Weston.
Weston was on the treadmill with his headphone on.
Jemma got on the treadmill next to Weston’s.
Weston looked at his side and saw Jemma, his heartbeat skipped for a bit and he snubbed her.
“Weston!” Jemma called waving at him but he ignored her.
What on earth is Jemma doing here? How did she get here? Weston questioned in his head as he increased his speed on the treadmill.

An hour later….
Weston and Jemma was done working out.
They both head out of the gym house.
“Weston are you avoiding me?” Jemma asked as she walked to his front.
“And if I say, I am will that change anything” Weston said coldly.
“You ignored my calls and texts. You didn’t even bother to check on me if I got home safely. You left without saying a word. Did you perhaps wake up at the wrong side of the bed” Jemma said looking at him.
“What do you want?” Weston asked arrogantly.
“What’s that tone? Are you perhaps upset with me? I know I didn’t use the right words last night but you can’t avoid me because of my words”
“Jemma like you said, it’s all in the past and we can’t do anything about it. Right now, we’re just business partners. Do you have any problem with that?” Weston asked coldly.
“We can’t turn back time but can we at least be friends?” Jemma requested looking down.

Weston placed his hand on his Jemma’s shoulders.
“No thanks” Weston said bluntly and moved her aside.
Weston walked to his car and Jemma ran to him and hugged him from behind.
“I’m sorry Weston. I’ve waited for decades just to say this to you. I’m sorry” Jemma said holding back her tears.

Jemma’s apology pierced through Weston’s heart melting it in seconds. He turned around and hugged her tightly.
I’m trying to let you go but why are you making it even harder for me to do that. Weston uttered in his mind sadly.
“Let’s make up for lost times Weston” Jemma said softly.
