LOST PASSION : CHAPTER 21-30

CHAPTER 29

~~~ STILL AT THE CHEN’S BUILDING**
Eli moved away from Ruby.
“What.. are you saying Ruby?” Eli stuttered looking away.
“Have you ever experienced such a thing? It seems to be it isn’t something usual” Ruby said staring at him.
“You’re smart enough to read your feelings but you should be smart enough to keep it to yourself till you figure it out. You might have just misread it, anyways it’s getting late. You should go to bed, you might catch a cold if you sit out here” Eli said as he stood up and Ruby held his hand.
“Can’t you just stay with me for a few minutes. You don’t have to say anything to me, I just need a company” Ruby said calmly.
“Okay, if that’s what you want” Eli uttered and sat back.
They both fixed their eyes on the balcony with some quiet.
Does she love the rain or is she thinking of her mother? She must have been through a lot, not having her mum around. Eli uttered in his head staring at Ruby.
Does his heartbeat race like mine whenever I get closer to him? It feels like he shows me care more than he does to other girls? Does this mean Eli has feelings for me or he’s developing feelings for me? Ruby questioned in her head then turned around to look at Eli.
“Stop thinking about it. It won’t do you any good if you keep on thinking about it” Eli cut in through her thoughts and Ruby’s eyes went wide open in shock.
How come he knows of what I’m thinking? Is he a psychic or what? Oh my goodness, he’s scary. What if he ends up reading through all my thoughts while we’re here. Ruby uttered in her head looking at Eli.
“Why are you giving me that look? Is something bothering you? Or should we go to bed?” Eli asked faking a smile and Ruby stood up quickly.
“Yeah, we can go to bed now” Ruby said sharply and ran to the guest room.
“Good night…” Eli said hypocritically.
“Wow, finally I can go to bed now. Yes!” Eli said excitedly as he stood up then walked majestically to his room after turning off the lights.
LOST PASSION : CHAPTER 21-30
NEXT MORNING….
HEADING BACK TO SEOUL…..
“Ha! I can’t believe he left without even saying goodbye to me” Jemma said getting pissed.
She brought out the little note Weston left on the table before leaving.
—–“When you’re done, you can close the doors. It all works with password. Have a safe trip back to Seoul and about our discussion last night, I hope you forget we never discussed anything” —–
“I should forget about our discussion, huh! You shouldn’t have told me anything in the first place, if you were going to end up telling me to forget about it so irresponsible of you Weston” Jemma screamed in her car furiously and she pressed the horn button angrily.
“Why am I even upset? It’s already frustrating that today’s hot so why am I making it even more hot for me. It’s not worth it so drop it. I haven’t been this furious for years” Jemma said furiously with a frown.
Jemma drove back home. She went into their building.
“I need some ice, I might burn up from anger” Jemma said seriously as she ran to the fridge and took out a bottle of iced water.
Jemma gulped down half bottle of it.
“Ha! I think I can breathe now” Jemma exhaled with a smile.
“Still so annoying” Jemma shouted and the glass cup in Ruby’s hand dropped in shock.
“Mum is everything okay?” Josie asked curiously with their eyes fixed on her.
They were all seated at the dining table to have breakfast.
“Oh, you guys are awake already” Jemma uttered with an awkward smile as she turned around.
“Yes mum. How was your meeting Mum? Hope it went well” Josie asked and Jemma smiled.
“Of course, it went well but why does it feel like I’m about to commit murder” Jemma said coldly then joined them at the dinning table.
“Wow, who prepared breakfast?” Jemma asked as a smile appeared on her face.
“Mum you told the chef to come prepare breakfast today just in case, you didn’t come back early” Eli reminded and Ruby bend down to pick up the broken glass on the floor but Eli ran to her.
“You might hurt yourself, let me do it” Eli said softly and Jemma noticed Ruby’s presence.
“Oh woo… Eli you’ve got yourself a girlfriend. Why didn’t you bother introducing her to me? That was so thoughtless of you, I almost didn’t notice her. Why are you standing over there? Come join us at the table” Jemma said politely and Ruby joined them.
“Mum, she’s not bro’s girlfriend luckily” Josie cut in and Jemma smiled awkwardly.
“Why did you say that earlier?” Jemma mumbled.
“Mum meet Ruby, my JJA in school” Eli introduced as he joined them.
“What! What’s that?” Jemma asked a bit confused.
“Junior junior assistant” Eli smiled.
“Ruby dear, you didn’t agree to those terms willingly right? You’re too pretty to be even made an assistant. I was really hoping you were my son’s girlfriend, anyways I don’t think Eli regards you as his JJA else he wouldn’t have brought you home. You must be a friend of his right?” Jemma asked with a smile.
“Yes ma, so smart of you ma’am. It really runs in the family to have brilliant people. Not just brilliant but beautiful as well” Ruby complimented smiling brightly.
“Eli you’ve got a good one. She’s good with compliments. I like her already” Jemma smiled.
“Thank you ma. I guess TV’s don’t lie, ever since I was little I’ve always dreamed of meeting with you someday. Now I see why my dad, always switch to the channels of your news ma” Ruby said.
“Ruby your dad’s a fan of my mum?” Josie asked curiously.
“A huge fan, I had no idea. You’re Eli’s Mum” Ruby said politely.
“I’m so flattered dear, it’s lovely to have such a beautiful fan” Jemma said calmly.
“Ma, an autograph please” Ruby said as she quickly brought out her jot note with a pen from her handbag on the floor.
“Of course” Jemma said and Eli yawned.
“Mum, can we just eat now. Breakfast is getting cold” Eli reminded with a little frown.
“Okay fine. Signing an autograph wouldn’t take a minute” Jemma said signing on the jot note.
“Here you go Ruby. Let’s eat” Jemma said handing her back her jot note.
LOST PASSION : CHAPTER 21-30
Minutes later…
They were done eating.
“I will take my leave now” Ruby informed.
“I should inform the drive so he drops you off at home” Jemma offered.
“Thank you for the offer ma but my home isn’t far from here” Ruby declined politely.
“Even still… Eli say something” Jemma said glaring at Eli.
“Come on Ruby, don’t be stubborn. Since you don’t want our driver to drop you off. How about bro drops you off?” Josie cut in with a smile.
“But…” Ruby said but Eli cut in.
“Why are you being stubborn. You can see how hard they’re trying to persuade you, can’t you just accept it” Eli said sarcastically.
“Eli don’t be sarcastic” Jemma scolded.
“I will drop her off” Eli said and went out.
“Thanks for the hospitality ma. Josie, take care okay. I will come visit some other day” Ruby said with a smile before leaving.
Zed yawned coming out of the lobby.
“Good morning Aunt” Zed greeted with his pyjamas still on.
“Zed, you came as well?” Jemma asked.
“Yes Aunt, I brought Ruby along. She wanted to meet Josie” Zed said scratching his neck.
“You’re such a sleepy head Zed, you’re just waking up. We’re done having breakfast already” Josie nagged.
“Oh no” Zed said looking at the kitchen.
“Of course, I can still make something for you Zed. Go freshen up and come have breakfast” Jemma said as she stood up from the couch.
“Mum why are you giving him special treatment” Josie pouted.
“Come on, don’t be a crybaby” Jemma said with a smile.
She went into the kitchen and her phone started ringing.
It might be Weston calling. Jemma uttered in her head and ran to the sitting room in a hurry.
She picked up the phone quickly and took the call sluggishly as she saw it wasn’t Weston.
“Yes, why are you calling so early? You should be sleeping by this time, it’s weekend for your information” Jemma said sarcastically as she went back to the kitchen.
“And you think I don’t know that. You ditched me at the last minute, after going shopping for our clubbing last night. I can’t believe you would do something like that to me” Fanny yelled over the phone and Jemma moved the phone away from her ears.
“I was caught up with the rain last night so I spent the night at Weston’s Villa in Guangdong” Jemma explained sluggishly .
“Weston? What Weston? Weston from Busan?” Fanny asked in shock.
“I think so” Jemma said slowly.
“What and you’re just telling me now? Where did you guys meet? How? When?” Fanny threw in lots of questions curiously.
LOST PASSION : CHAPTER 21-30
Eli drove Ruby back home.
“Eli, you’ve got an amazing family. I thought your mum will be scary and intimidating just like you described but she’s a loving and friendly lady. She treated me like a friend. You never told me, your mum was a public figure” Ruby uttered excitedly.
“I had no idea, a rich kid like yourself will be excited to meet a public figure. Anyways I think we’ve gotten to your destination” Eli reminded looking around.
“Eli won’t you come in for a cup of coffee” Ruby requested.
“No thanks. I’ve got lots of things to attend to and again, have this tea when you get in. It will help you catch some sleep, I noticed you didn’t sleep much last night” Eli said looking away as he placed the bag of tea on her palm.
Ruby smiled staring at it.
“Thank you but how come you noticed that? Were you spying on me” Ruby teased.
“Hell no, I don’t do stuff like that. I saw you yawning while having breakfast” Eli said.
“You’re quite amazing, you notice every details” Ruby mumbled.
Eli leaned closer to her and helped her remove the seatbelt.
His fragrance smells amazing. Ruby uttered in her head staring at Eli passionately.
Eli looked at her and his heartbeat skipped.
“You’re beautiful” Eli complimented so suddenly and Ruby’s cheeks turned tomato red.
