“In our twenties?” Jemma asked trying to catch her breath.
“It took you ages to remember me. So typical you Jemma” Weston said with a half smile.
“Wait a minute… I’m lost here, are you trying to say you’re Weston from Busan?” Jemma asked curiously.
“What do you think?” Weston asked and Jemma covered her mouth with her palms in shock.
She stood up quickly and picked up her purse.
“I’m not supposed to be here”Jemma said in a shaky voice but Weston grabbed her hand lightly.
Jemma’s eyes went down at the hand Weston held.
“Jemma what are you running away from exactly? Are you running away from our past or your true self? Is that why you couldn’t recognize me because you’ve buried me somewhere in your heart?” Weston asked softly and tears roll down Jemma’s eyes.
“I have no idea what you’re talking about and it’s all in the past. I’m not running away from you, I have to rush back to Seoul before it gets dark” Jemma said avoiding eye contact with Weston and she moved away from him.
“Jemma we’re adults now so I think there’s no time better than now for us to talk about our past actions and decisions. Jemma you chose Caleb over me and what we shared” Weston uttered and Jemma bite her lower lips trying to hold back her tears.
“Does any of that matter now? It’s all in the past and we’ve all moved on with our lives. Talking about the past isn’t really my thing so I will take my leave now” Jemma said and walked away.
“I know you’ve moved on with your life but there are certain things you can’t move on from and one of those things are the dreams we planned to build together that you destroyed. I spent practically all my life thinking about the things that went wrong. I would love to hear an explanation from you and I don’t mind, you can take your time” Weston said and Jemma stopped walking.
She couldn’t turn around so she left when Weston was done talking.
Jemma drove back to Seoul with her mind crowded with the past.
“Is it right for me to bring up the past? It’s something I buried in my heart for so long” Jemma uttered sadly and Fanny’s call came in.
Jemma plugged in her ear phones.
“Fanny I’m driving. If it’s not urgent let’s talk when I get home” Jemma said in a low tone.
“Sis is everything alright? Are you missing Caleb that much? If you were going to feel bad like this then why did you bother pushing through with the divorce” Fanny said sarcastically and Jemma shook her head with a smirk.
“You sound excited about our divorce. It feels like you’ve been longing for that to happen”
“Of course I have. Sis you did such a great thing, let’s go out tonight. Dinner on me” Fanny said excitedly.
“Are you planning on tagging Rowan along?” Jemma asked with a shrug.
“Why would I do that? Can’t I have an alone time with my sister without my husband tagging along”
“I have the feeling you want to go clubbing” Jemma smiled.
“Of course sis, I’ve been dying to go to one but since you always decline my request I was forced to go with Rowan” Fanny pouted.
“He’s so busy as it stands. Why force him go clubbing? Anyways I’m actually in the mood to go to one. Let’s do it” Jemma agreed.
“Oh yeah! See you tonight sis” Fanny said excitedly and Jemma hung up.
“Yeah, clubbing should help clear out my mind right now. I feel terrible as it stands” Jemma sighed deeply with her eyes on the road.
But it suddenly started raining heavily.
“Oh no this storm looks heavy. I can’t drive back to Seoul in this rain” Jemma whined as she parked at the road side.
Weston looked out at the window worriedly as it poured heavily outside.
Jemma shouldn’t drive in this rain, it’s quite heavy. Weston uttered in his mind worriedly and he looked at his phone.

Eli was done with his classes and it slipped his mind to give Ruby a call.
“Why does it feel like I’m forgetting to do something? What’s that exactly?” Eli whispered thinking hard on it.
And Ruby popped out in front of him and Eli’s heartbeat skipped as he stared at Ruby’s smiling face.
He moved her aside and cleared his throat.
“You were thinking of me right?” Ruby asked playfully.
“Not really and why would I” Eli scoffed.
“Don’t tell me, you forgot about our deal. You’re to start today Eli” Ruby said and Eli laughed.
“What! I never said I would start today and just so you know you don’t call the shots here. I’ve got plans today at home with my little sis so let’s talk about this tomorrow” Eli said sarcastically.
“Eli you have a little sister?” Ruby asked excitedly.
“Ye…ah” Eli stuttered as he wondered about Ruby’s expression.
“Please I want to meet with her. Eli please… I want to see her” Ruby cut in sharply with a wide smile.
“That’s quite a weird request. Why would you want to meet my little sis? Why?” Eli asked curiously.
“I find it amazing that someone like you have a sibling. You act like a brat which obviously shows that you’re an only child but surprisingly you’re not. Eli please I want to see your sister. Since you’ve got plans at home, you can just as well tutor me when you’re done”
“I’m not taking you to my house and I’m not showing you to my sister and again I haven’t concluded on whether to tutor you or not so it’s a void deal” Eli said arrogantly and Ruby kept mute.
“Why are you suddenly so quiet?” Eli asked and Ruby rolled her eyes at him.
“What! Did you just roll your eyes at me? Ruby you need to show me some respect, I’m still your senior. Show me some positive side of you so I can consider your request. I can’t believe you’re still acting like a brat when you’re asking for a favor” Eli shrugged.
“Eli!” Ruby called out loudly as she glared at him.
“I’m right here so why are you calling out my name so loudly”
“You’re the worse Eli” Ruby cursed and walked away.
“What the h’ll! Did she just curse me to my face? Hey Ruby get back here” Eli said running after her.
“What?” Ruby asked with a frown.
“Don’t tell me you’re sulking because I said I can’t let you meet with my sister? Ruby, I know my mum and sis, they won’t keep shut if I take you home with me. I’m not the type who takes people to my house”
“I’m not just anyone. I’m your friend now Eli, why are you feeling so anxious or do you other thoughts in mind about me?” Ruby asked looking at him closely and Eli scoffed.
“Don’t be ridiculous”
“Then I don’t see anything wrong with me going to your house. Zed knows your house as well” Ruby said.
“Don’t be ridiculous Ruby. Zed’s my best friend and childhood friend at that so I see no reason why there should be a comparison between you two” Eli argued and just then Zed joined them.
“Come on Eli, can’t you read what’s going on here? She’s been persistent on you taking her to your house. Why don’t you do that” Zed said and Eli glared at him.
“What’s that supposed to mean Zed? You’re supposed to be siding with me and you know this isn’t right. Bringing a girl back home with me” Eli said frustratedly and Zed placed his hand on Eli’s shoulders.
“I’m glad you know that. Friends should always side with friends but what did you do during lunch? Eli you ran away, leaving me alone in a tight spot” Zed whined and Eli smiled awkwardly.
“Don’t be petty man. I had class then and that’s why I left, I had no intentions of leaving you in that situation. Trust me” Eli lied smiling.
“All lies” Ruby scoffed and Zed pinched Eli hard on his arms.
“Even Ruby knew you were lying through your teeth. Ruby for exposing him, I will take you to Eli’s home. I’m like family there so I don’t need approval from him to bring you with me” Zed said with a smile.
“Are you being serious Zed?” Ruby asked with a smile.
“Of course, let’s go” Zed said.
“Zed this isn’t right. This is similar to invading into ones privacy” Eli complained.
“Ruby will you go in my car?” Zed asked softly and she nodded.
They left Eli behind.
“Zed if you’re going my way. You should at least offer me a ride” Eli said sarcastically.
“Your hands are still working, get a taxi for yourself or call Josie’s driver over” Zed laughed and Eli ruffled.
“He’s definitely getting back at me”
“I should just go with the taxi. Going in his car will only annoy me even more” Eli rolled his eyes and went his way.
“Josie is mum home?” Eli asked after putting a call across to Josie.
“Not yet. She texted, she won’t be making it back home tonight” Josie said.
“Is that so? Is she on a business trip?” Eli asked curiously.

GANGWAN-DO **
Jemma got out of her car because she heard a sound from one of the car tyres.
“Oh no, you can’t do this to me now” Jemma sulked looking at the flat tyres.
She got soaked in the rain.
How am I supposed to go back to Seoul in this state and I can’t find any hotels around. Jemma uttered in her head worriedly as she looked around but there were no houses.
“It isn’t safe either” Jemma uttered out as the thought got to her.
Just that moment, Weston drove to where she was standing.
Weston came out of his car with a jacket and an umbrella.
“What are you doing under the rain? You might catch a cold” Weston nagged as he wore her the jacket.
“What are you doing here and how did you find me?” Jemma asked still in surprise.
“Is really important right now. Let’s go back to my Villa, it’s not safe here and you don’t drive when it’s pouring so let’s go with my car” Weston said with so much concern and for a second Jemma’s heartbeat skipped.
“I actually have flat tyres. I can’t leave my car here”
“Car movers are heading here so don’t worry about that. Your car will be safe, get into the car” Weston instructed as he opened the door for her.
Jemma got into the car and she saw the car movers heading their way.
Did he really call for them? Jemma questioned in her head a bit flustered.
Weston got into the car.
“You know so well you fall sick whenever you stay in the rain so why did you? I can’t believe you still have this little carelessness of yours” Weston nagged.
I can’t believe, he still remembers all these little details about me. It’s been decades already but it feels like we only parted ways yesterday. Why’s he so concerned about me? Jemma questioned in her head as she felt butterflies in her tummy staring deeply at Weston.
