CHAPTER 42
Jemma sat in her office going through some documents when Dan knocked on her door vigorously.
“Come in” Jemma said and Dan ran in.
“Boss I think you need to see this” Dan panicked, handing over his phone to Jemma.
It is a video of Weston saving his worker and then passing out.
“Oh my goodness!” Jemma gasped out as her heartbeat skipped in shock.
“Dan, you should take care of things here at the office. I will head now to the hospital Mr Hong is been admitted.
Send me the address of the hospital” Jemma said anxiously as she stood up and picked up her phone and car keys.
She dashed out to the parking lot.
“You have to be fine Weston” Jemma uttered worriedly before driving off to the hospital as she got the address from Dan.

HANKUK UNIVERSITY (HUFS) ***
“How does it feel hugging me in public?” Eli flirted and Ruby broke the hug.
“You’re so full of yourself. It’s just a hug, don’t make a big deal out of it.
Anyways, do you have any plans for tonight?” Ruby asked slowly.
“I do have plans, why?”
“I was thinking of asking you out for dinner so you can tutor me after that”
“Ruby, I told you I will send you tutorial videos. Why are you pushing it?” Eli asked.
“This wasn’t our arrangement in the first place. How can you change your mind so easily? I’m trying so hard to make your feelings for me known, is that so hard to ask for” Ruby pouted and Eli walked forward then a smile appeared on his lips.
“Let’s go together” Ruby said and ran at Eli’s pace.
“I’m not done with my classes for today so I think I still have enough time to deliberate on tutoring you physically or electronically” Eli said sarcastically and Ruby scoffed.
“Playing hard to get” Ruby mumbled and Eli stared at her.
“You should say it out loudly. I also want to hear what you’re mumbling” Eli said and Ruby brushed his arms playfully.

~~HANGGU SPECIAL HOSPITAL….
Jemma couldn’t get to the hospital quickly because of the traffic jam on the road. She got to the hospital like an hour later.
Jemma rushed into the hospital and got Weston’s details from the receptionist nurses.
She got closer to Weston’s room and tears couldn’t stop rolling down her cheeks.
“You’re fired. I promise you won’t be able to get any other contract from other companies.
I will sue your company for the damages they’ve caused me” Weston yelled over the phone then hung up angrily.
“Boss, you just regained consciousness. I think you need to relax.
We can take care of the construction company later on” Weston’s secretary said and Weston glared at him before putting a call across to Gabriel.
“Gab, I want you to sue them” Weston said seriously over the phone.
“Man, you need to calm your nerves. You just gained consciousness and do you think I will let them off the hook after the huge mess they created.
Their company is going down with them so have some rest, leave it to me” Gabriel assured and Weston exhaled lightly and he felt a slight pain in his head.
“When are you coming?”
“I’m at the parking lot” Gabriel said and hung up.
Jemma ran into the room.
“What the hell do you think you’re doing? How can you cause such a fuss after gaining consciousness” Jemma nagged and Weston smiled on seeing her.
“I’m fine now. I’m way too strong to stay unconscious for too long” Weston said with a smile and he signaled his secretary to leave.
“I will take my leave now Boss” He said and left the room, closing the door behind him.
Jemma boost into tears and gave Weston a hug.
“Do you have any idea, how scared I was when I saw the news? How could you risk your life in such a way?
The rescue team was there why didn’t you let them do their jobs” Jemma said sobbing on Weston’s chest and he caressed her hair.
“I’m sorry, I made you worry but I believe you would make same decision if you were in same situation” Weston said calmly and Jemma hit him lightly.
“What if something worse happened to you?”
“I’m careful, I wouldn’t let that happen. I was way too careful in there, I have no idea how I ended up getting hurt at the end of it” Weston said with a silly smile.
“Promise not to ever act so reckless ever again” Jemma said as she broke the hug.
“I promise. I also don’t like the idea of making you worry, although I need your attention so much but making you worry isn’t one of it”
“You’re so silly” Jemma sniffed in back her tears.
“Congratulations Jemma. You did it once again, I’m proud of you” Weston said softly and pecked the back of her palm.
“Thank you” Jemma smiled.
FLASHBACK***
On days back when he met with the CEO in charge of Korean fashion show.
“Weston, is it okay for you to keep up this achievement?” The CEO asked.
“You and I know so well that Jemma did so well in launching many amazing designer jewelries which appeared on monthly magazines. She deserves to be ranked number one than I do.
I just returned, my designs haven’t been on the market for months and that’s why I think Jemma deserves the award more than me” Weston convinced.
“Seems you’ve made up your mind then I will respect your decision.
Jemma deserves the award as well but it’s hard selecting a rival when you’re around”
“You flatter me too much” Weston said as they laughed.
**FLASHBACK ENDS…
“But how come you knew about the news before it even got to me?” Jemma asked curiously.
“I’ve got my ways. I got the news from one of my sources, early hours of today before the conference meeting” Weston said with a smile.
“I was actually anxious, I wouldn’t rank number one this time. I guess I got lucky again”
“You deserve it Jemma. You work so hard, you deserve to get a reward every year” Weston said with a smile as he hugged Jemma.
