CHAPTER 44
Eli and Jemma sat at a bench outside the hospital.
“You’ve been quiet, what do you want to say? Spit it out”Jemma said.
“Mum, do you know Mr Hong?” Eli asked curiously.
“I believe you’ve answered that question in your head. What a small world, it’s really surprising that Weston’s daughter is Ruby. I was completely clueless” Jemma said with a half smile.
“It’s really surprising. Mum I had no idea, Mr Hong was your first love” Eli said staring at Eli.
“I’m sorry, I couldn’t introduce him to you earlier. Everything happened so fast” Jemma smiled.
“You seem happy mum. Do you love him that much?” Eli asked with a sad smile.
“Of course, I do. I’m finally getting to do things I couldn’t do when I was with your dad and Weston is everything I could ask for” Jemma said smiling widely.
“I’m really hoping, he doesn’t seize to make you smile Mum. Mum I wish you more happiness ahead, Mr Hong is a good man” Eli said with a faint smile and Jemma noticed.
“Eli are you sure you’re fine with me seeing Weston? You don’t look so happy about it?” Jemma questioned an Eli stood up.
“Come on Mum, I’ve wished you happiness. What more can I do to show you how happy I am for you?
And again, I’ve got to adjust to the new system of seeing you with another man” Eli said slowly.
“I’m sorry Eli, I was a bit blunt about my questions. I should have been more considerate.
I still haven’t told Josie yet, I don’t think she would take it in a good faith.
She loves your dad a lot” Jemma said sadly and Eli pat her back.
“Mum, don’t think too much about it. Josie is a big girl now, I’m pretty sure she will understand you. She will only need some time to adjust” Eli assured.
“Do you think so”
“Of course. Anyways Mum, I’ve got to head back home. Josie is left alone at home” Eli informed and Jemma nodded.
“I will head back in a bit as well but go ahead first” Jemma said with a nod.
“Alright Mum, take care and don’t stay out for too long. It’s quite cold outside” Eli said concerned with a half smile then head to the car park.
He got into his car and exhaled deeply as sadness consumed his thoughts and mind.
Eli placed a call across to Zed.
“Yes Buddy, what’s up?” Zed asked on answering the call.
“Zed should I just fly out?” Eli asked dispirited.
“What are you saying bro? What do you mean fly out? To where and why?” Zed threw in.
Eli looked out to the window.
“I think fate is playing a loyalty test on me?”
“What do you mean?”
“Zed, I hate to admit this but I think I’m in love with Ruby” Eli said slowly.
“What! How? When did you start developing feelings for her? I thought you never saw her as a woman” Zed asked curiously and sighed tiredly.
“I’m a bit tired Zed. Let’s talk some other time” Eli said and hung up before Zed could utter another word.
Eli drove back home before he was about entering the parking lot when he saw Josie and she wasn’t walking like her usual self.
“What’s wrong with her? Why is walking that way like she’s scared of something” Eli scoffed and he noticed a shadow walking behind Josie.
“What the hell is that?” Eli uttered sharply then stopped his car.
He turned off the car lights so he could get a proper view of the stalker.
“Ahhhh!” Josie screamed in fright as someone lay his hand on her shoulder.
“Josie” Eli called from behind and Josie turned around quickly and hugged Eli.
“Bro I think someone is stalking me” Josie boost out in tears as she shut her eyes.
“You mean this guy?” Eli asked ane Josie opened her eyes.
Eli grabbed Randy tight on the neck.
“Randy! What are you doing here?” Josie asked curiously.
“You know him?” Eli asked a bit confused.
“Please can you let me go. It hurts” Randy winced and Eli let go of him.
“Senior what are you doing here”
“I was curious to know what kind of environment you live in so to be so focused in school” Randy said with a smile and Eli pvnched his mouth hard.
“You jerk! How dare you stalk my sister? You better speak out your real motive or I will call the police on you” Eli yelled angrily as he grabbed Randy’s hands from behind.
“Ahhh! It hurts” Randy winced loudly.
“Bro what are you doing? You’re hurting him and besides he’s a senior from my school”
“Josie you’re too naive. This scumbag was a stalking you. Have you been receiving any weird messages lately?” Eli asked curiously.
Josie blinked nervously.
“I have but it got nothing to do with Randy bro. So let go of him” Josie defend and Eli slapped Randy hard across the face.
“He has a face of a stalker, he is a complete stalker. He has got evil motives” Eli yelled.
“Bro stop it” Josie shouted.
“Do you have feelings for Josie?” Eli threw in and Randy smiled suddenly.
“Of course, who wouldn’t have feelings for such a beauty” Randy said flirtatiously and Josie stared at him in shock.
“You bstard!” Eli yelled and continuously pvnched him.
Eli had flashes of what happened at the hospital and he punched Randy even harder.
“Just because you have feelings for her, doesn’t mean you can have her. you bstard!” Eli yelled angrily as he gave Randy the last pvnch which gave him a bruise on his fist.
“I’m completely screwed” Eli said almost in tears as he pushed Randy aside then sat on the ground almost breaking into tears.
