Desmond’s POV
” Safe journey ” I said.
” Please Stop….. ” I heard as I was about to pull the trigger.
I turned and see Mrs martins rushing down from the stairs then kneeled few meters away from me.
” Go back to your room, Mrs Martins…….you don’t want to see this” I said.
” please Mike…… He’s telling the truth, they threatened to kill us if he didn’t comply”
” he never wanted to betray to you…….please don’t do this cause that’s the truth ” she said.
” they said they will kill my wife and daughter if I refused to tell them who you are” Mr Martins said.
” if that’s the case why didn’t you do anything about it when you’re released?” I asked.
” they told me not to tell anyone about it all or else I and my family will be dead” he said.
” They told you to shut up and you shut up?…..you let them roam around freely like nothing happened ” I said.
” I didn’t stay still, I secretly explain the situation to the IG and we’ve been gathering some things against them since we have no proof” he said.
” For four months?…….and you haven’t take them down…….how long before you get justice done?…A year, maybe two or in the next ten years” I said.
” please believe me Mike, I’m working on it and very soon……..they will be caught ” he said.
” your way sucks,…..you can’t get justice done for four months……..i only need one day to take them out” I said.
” It’s not as easy as you think” he said” Well maybe for you” I said.
” how can I help?” he asked.
” give me the phone number of one of them……just one of them or where I could find them” I said.
” uh..yeah, DIG Aliyu……he stays in abuja, he also has a few security with him, and his phone number is 08147******” he said then I note it down.
” what are you going to do with them?” he asked.
” What do you think……to kill them of course ” I said.
” you can’t get close enough to kill them……they will know someone is onto them ” he said.
” Besides you don’t have to kill them…..there are other ways to get justice” he said.
” You mean by the law……the law hasn’t done anything for the past four months, the law sucks” I said.
” You might get caught” he said .
” you don’t have to worry about that……before two o’clock this afternoon they will all be dead ” I said.
” you’ll kill them in broad daylight?……you will be arrested…….and I don’t think that will ever be possible……you will get yourself killed” he said.
” are you just underestimating me?” I asked.
” I’m just worried for you…..that’s all” he said.
” I don’t need you to be worried about me, you should be worried about what you will be saying to the press” I said.
” Press?” he asked.
” yes….. Cause you will be questioned as why you are the only one remaining among the DIGs” I said.
” you can use this time to figure that out ” I said then stand up and was about to leave.
” thank you so much Mike……thank you” Mrs martins said.
” you’re welcome Mrs martins…….I’m sorry to disturb your sleep” I said then turn to Mr Martins.
” do you happen to have handcuffs?……Cause I’ll be needing six” I said.
” yes…….I’m coming ” he said then went to his study room and came back later with it and handed it to me.
” if they sense that I’m coming for them then I’ll know you’re working for them then I will come for you” I said.
” I’m telling you the truth mike” he said.
” immediately this is done, I will reveal myself to the press that I’m alive and resume my job as a police officer ” I said.
” of course, your post at Shamla province is still intact, so whenever you’re ready and if you’re not okay with it I will put in some words for your promotion ” he said.
” I don’t want promotion……that’s all I want ” I said.
” okay……anything you say” he said.
” just to be clear…….I’d like for us to stop meeting, don’t contact me….. Don’t call me either……. This is where we part ways ” I said.
” O..okay…..whatever you say, but I just want you to know that I’m truly sorry for what happened to you” he said.
” I need to go” I said then went out the same way I entered.

(Morning)
I was back in my hotel room after my visit to the DIG, I know he doesn’t have a choice cause that’s the right thing for him to do in a situation like that.
Perhaps maybe stay away from each other is the best way to keep drawing problem for each other.
I call the receptionist and ordered for some food, and about thirty minutes later they brought the food.
I ate my food and after I’m done with it I put my plans in motion, I have to go to Abuja right away.
I booked my flight online and gather everything else required.
I got dressed then attach a beard and mustache to cover up and pick a few things I will be needing for my trip, I went out of the hotel and board a cab to the airport.
Few minutes later the driver pulled right in front of the airport, I paid him and went straight in.
After getting my ticket I have to wait for an hour later before we can leave, so I used the opportunity to find the location of the number.
I continue tracking the number then I got the location, I noted it down and when it’s time I entered the plane.

(An hour later)
The plane reached Abuja and we all got down, I went out of the lobby and board a cab to the address I got from the phone.
While in the cab I checked the location of the number again and I found it moving from the position.
” Driver change of plans……….i will be directing you” I said.
” it’s your money boss, so where? ” he said.
” turn right” I directed and he turned.
I keep directing him as the pointer keeps moving then it stops right in front of a mall.
The driver also reached the mall and I saw the DIG entering the mall with three security beside him.
I followed them secretly as they got inside and I went after them, I look for a way to get him to a secluded place.
Then an idea came to me then I pulled out my phone and dialled his number, and after a minute he picked.
” hello, who is this? ” he asked.
” it’s me Sir, it’s agent Ayoola ” I said.
” ohh Ayoola…..did you change your line?…..and why is your voice like this?” he asked.
” I had to fake it……..cause what I’m about to tell you is very important and we can’t let anyone be listening to our call” I said.
” okay…..what is it?” he asked.
” Sir…….it’s about the file you’re looking for……i found it” I said.
” you did?……how? ” he asked.
” Sir……you have to go to a secluded spot for what I’m about to tell you” I said.Tb” okay I’m coming ” he said then put the call on hold.
I saw him whispered to the securities then they move towards the rest room, I went after them.
I saw the three securities right outside the restroom and I walked towards them and they stopped me.
” you can’t go in now…….use another one” one of the security said.
” sorry guys, I really need to use this……It so close ” I said.
” use another one or I will carry you out” he said then I calculated my moves and attack the three of them together.
One of they tried to shoot me and I kicked the gun away from him and punch him down.
I keep fighting with them then I hit them with the back of the gun every chance I got and they went unconscious.
I opened the door and I found him shocked and scared especially after seeing his security pass out on the floor.
” you’re not Agent ayoola ” he said.
” sorry to disappoint you ” I said.
” w..wh.. Who are you?” he asked frightened.
” you will find out soon enough but for the mean time stay still or I promise you, you will die right where you are” I said.
” I swear…. I’m not moving, I’ll stay here” he said then I dragged the three securities into the restroom and tied them together.
” let’s go” I said pointing a gun at him.
” okay” he replied and we left.
We got outside the mall and we entered his car, I told him to drive and heat to that national FIIB facility and he drove off.
When we are about to get I told him to stop and he pulled over.
” why are you doing this?……what do you want? ” he asked.
” I told you I will know very soon ” I said.
” I made a stop to your house earlier which is why I got to know about your location ” I lied and I see him shocked.
” what did you do to my family?” he asked.
” don’t worry…..your family will be safe as long as you what I ask of you….if not you and your family will have a happy reunion in the afterlife ” I said.
” what do you want from me? ” he asked.
” how do you call for an urgent meeting with the other DIGs, I’m talking about a meeting none of them can sit out ” I said.
” Fine, I will tell you but only six of us know the code…..you will have to contact Mr Martins some other way” he said and I smiled.
” I don’t need Mr Martins…….. Just the six of you” I said then I gave him his phone and he sent the message.
” we will have to wait for them ” he said.
” yeah I know…..so let’s go get ready for the meeting, so drive to the FIIB facility and don’t try to be smart” I said.
” I won’t do anything as long as my family is safe” he said.
” Good choice ” I said then he drove off.
A while later he pulled right infront of the facility and we got down, the security were surprised to see the DIG with only one guy.
I bring out my jamming device and jammed all the signal in the area, causing everything to stop working including the cameras.
We into the facility side by side, the agents around are greeting him as we pass, he only nodded in reply and we took the lift to the conference room.
The lift stopped at the conference room and made our way inside.
I remember the first time I came here, I thought they are actually a good people but it turned out they are not.
I told him to sit down then I bring out one of the handcuff and cuffed him to the table.
I bring out my gun and told him to sit just like that, I hid behind the door as we wait for the rest to arrive.
About thirty minutes later the first person arrived which is DIG Williams.
” Mr Aliyu…..why the sudden message?” DIG Williams said then I came out of hiding.
” Holly W…… ” he was about to say then stopped when he saw a gun.
” what is this?……who are you?” he asked.
” Sit…..you will find out soon enough ” I said then he went to sit.
I brought out another cuff and cuffed him also to the table and told them to stay calm.
I went back to my hiding post and wait for the rest of them, and just one after the other they all came in and I cuffed them all.
Luckily no security is allowed in the conference room which gave me lots of chance to carry out my plans.
” Now you’re all here……let’s get this started ” I said.
” what’s the meaning of this rubbish?……..what’s going on here?” DIG Peters asked angrily.
” Mr Aliyu…….you sent the message, do you care to tell us what’s happening? ” DIG Elliot asked.
” ohh don’t mind him……he doesn’t know as well” I said.
” hey Young man, I hope you know what you’re doing and if you love your life you will stop this madness” DIG Peters said.
” Alright then, let’s do this” I said then pulled off the beard and mustache.
” oooohhhh” that was the sound they made when they saw me.
” this is impossible……..you died” DIG Williams said.
” Actually I nearly died but luckily I was saved” I said.
” I’m sorry for my part in what happened to you…..it was the devil’s work, you can have whatever is the container…….we don’t want it anymore ” DIG Aliyu said.
” you don’t get it, do you?……I’m not here to pardon you or to cut a deal with you……I’m here to settle the score” I said.
” so you want to kill us?…..here, that is filled with agents and you think you can go Scott free” DIG Peters said.
” if I were you I wouldn’t worry about any of that, the CCTV cameras won’t see me cause I already took care of that” I said.
” and you think anyone will come in to save you, you’re deceiving yourself as well cause this place is sound proof, anything that happened here can’t be heard outside”
” what do you want? ” DIG asked.
” here’s the thing, I don’t plan on killing anyone as long as you do what I told you to” i said.
” so we are going to play a game? ” I added then pull out my second gun.
” since you sent one of us Agent to kill another agent, you also have to kill each other ” I said and they became restless.
” No you can’t do this……said you won’t kill anyone ” DIG Allison said.
” yes……I’m not killing anyone, you’re all going to shoot each other, the lucky person get to leave here alive” I said.
” so tell me DIG Williams, among this five people, who do you want to kill?” I asked.
” I..i don’t want to kill anyone” he said.
” really, if that’s the case then I should kill you then ” I said then pointed a gun at his head.
” wait…wait…wait” he said.
” whaaat?” I asked.
” it’s Mr Elliot” he said and Mr Elliot gasped out loud and I smiled.
” well then what are you waiting for……kill him” I said giving him a gun and he looked at me.
” c’mon kill him ” I said then he cunningly tried to shoot me but I shot him first.
” I told you I don’t want to shoot anyone……..hope that teaches the rest of you a lesson” I said then pick up the gun and gave it to DIG Elliot.
” Now Shoot Him” I said pointing to DIG Allison.
” please don’t make me do this” he begged.
” Please don’t…..no no, don’t……i’ll give you whatever you want….. Please make him stop this ” Mr Allison begged.
” I won’t say this again or you also get a bullet in the head” I said then Mr Elliot shot him three times and he died.
” Good boy” I said smiling to myself.
