Obinna: how is that possible? is there no other way
great queen.
Ejike: please great queen, have pity on us we were
seven that came into this forest and five are gone, we
are the only two remaining. pls give us the mystery
water without taking any of our life (pleading)
queen: there is no other alternative, is either you take
or leave it, the choice is left for you to decide.
ejike: great queen take my life, and give the mystery
water in the golden calabash to my brother to take it to
our kingdom.
obinna: ejike, are u out of your mind how can you take
that decision, let’s continue pleading who knows she
might change her mind.
ejike: even if we plead from now ages her mind has
already made up, let me sacrifice my life for the sake
of our people in the village.
obinna: no ejike, if we are talking of who to sacrifice
his life is me. because i already have wife and children,
even if i die my name will still move on, but you are the
only child of your late parents or do you want to die
without a wife and children? no way i will take the risk.
ejike: but your children needs you, please go back to
your family with the mystery water let me take the risk,
if i die i know that i die as a hero.
obinna: my decision is final please take care of my wife
and children, great queen take my life and give my
brother here the mystery water in the golden calabash
to take home.
ejike go well my brother, i promise to take good care of
your family they are now my responsibility (and they
both hugged tightly with tears dropping down their
eyes)
queen python: who among you that want to sacrifice
himself let him come forth, so obinna went and the
queen gave him a medal to put on his neck and obinna
collected the medal and put it on his neck, immediately
he vanished and that was the end of obinna.
ejike: obinnaaaaaa …………. (crying)
The queen strench out her hand and the mystery water
in the golden calabash appeared in her hand.
queen python: now take this mystery water you seek
for, it will also protect you back to your kingdom and
she handed it over to ejike
ejike: thank you great queen of python, i shall journey
back to my kingdom (so ejike took the mystery water
and begin his journey back to their kingdom)
when ejike arrived to their kingdom the villagers were
happy to see him, while some that their loved one’s
went with ejike to the forest that didn’t return with him
started crying and wailing.
