Ikuku: the mystery water in a golden calabash is the
solution
2nd elder: mystery water in a golden calabash. where
on earth are we going to get that from, because i know
we don’t have that in our village.
ikuku: Is a mystery water not just an ordinary water,
and it can never be found in any village the only place
you can found it is in the deadly forest of pythons and
nobody goes there and comes out alive.
king: what! how do you expect us to go there and get
it, when you know that nobody goes there and comes
out alive.
ikuku: get seven great and strong men in the village
and bring them to my shrine to fortify them. after that i
will give them instruction on how they will get the
mystery water in the golden calabash.
king: thank you eyes of the gods we will do as you
said, but when are we bringing them to your shrine?
ikuku: bring them in the next three days to my shrine
(then he left) As ikuku left, the king and the elders
began to talk on how to gather the men.
king: elder mmadu, what about that your first son
azubuike, let him be among the men that will go for the
search.
elder mmadu: your highness, my son azubuike is not
feeling too well is not strong enough to be among the
men to go for the search
king: elder obi, what about your own son the fisher
man, he is strong enough to be among the men that
will go for the search.
elder obi: ah….. that one, that lazy son of mine, even a
2yrs boy can throw him on the ground. your highness
let’s forget about eze my son,there are other strong
men in this village.
king: is alright, in two days time we shall gather gather
the men (they all talked for the day and the elders left)
meanwhile ada was in her house crying over the issue
of her not be able to conceive and also talking to her
self
Ada: (crying) gods of our land open my womb for me
to bear children for my husband, we are not getting any
younger i have been to many place seeking for the fruit
of womb, they all assured me that i will conceive very
soon but still i can’t get pregnant, what is really
happening me? and my husband is getting fed up of
the situation, telling me that if i did not give him a
child that he will throw me out and marry another wife.
oh gods of our land please come to my rescue.

Two days later, they gathered the seven men which
will go for the search their names are obinna, ejike,
ofia, Akpani, mbala, ifeanyi and emeka. these are the
men that was selected to go for the search of the
mystery water in a golden calabash.
The next day they took them to the great ikuku’s
shrine for fortification.
