Nkiru was inside breastfeeding her babies, when she
heard a knock on the door.
Nkiru: who is that?
obata: open the door woman and bring those kids out
nkiru: what kids are u talking about, i have only one
baby (she said panicking and looking for where to hid
the other baby) before she could do anything they
broke down the door and walked in.
obata: hand the baby over to us in peace
nkiru: please i beg you don’t take them away from me,
they are my life i beg of you (crying)
obata: woman there is nothing we can do the order is
from the king and you know the tradition (she continue
crying and pleading for them to leave her babies) but
they refused to listen to her plead.
obata: ifedi, you and jekwu should take the babies from
her, and they took the babies with force from her and
she grab jekwu on his leg, pleading to them to give her
back her babies and obata pushed her and she fell
down and immediately she stood up and ran after them,
trying to drag one of the baby.
out of annoyance jekwu pull out his matchet and stab
her on her chest and she fell down on the ground
bleeding seriously.
obata: jekwu, what have u done? who ask you to stab
her, the king never gave us order to hurt her, so why
did you do that?
jekwu: she’s proving stubborn i did not do it
intentionally.
obata: well let’s go, she brought this upon herself (as
they were about to go, nkiru at the point of death
manage to say)
Nkiru: for taking away my babies and also for stabing
me, this kingdom shall know no peace there shall be a
great disaster in this land and after saying all that she
died.
obata: let’s go, if not for her stubborness all this
wouldn’t have happen to her (he said and they left,
they never knew that the death of nkiru will bring a
great disaster in the kingdom)
when they got to the palace with the babies .
Obata: here are the babies you asked us to bring, what
next are we to do with the babies?
king: are u asking me what next to do? when you know
the right thing to do (alright let me remind you since
you have a dull memory, now take the babies to the
evil forest and bury them alive.
obata: yes your highness we will do as you said (and
they took the babies to the evil forest and buried them
alive)
