I was putting on something when i heard the sound of my phone ringing, I walked to the bed, grabbed it and quickly picked the call.
“Mom..” I said.
“Scott….how are you doing dear?.”
“Uh fine mom.” I massaged my temple and sat on the bed.
“That’s good, what about Riley…how is she?” She asked.
Now i see….she’s definitely the one that sent Riley here. I cleared my throat and answered. “My wife is fine mom, why don’t you call her?.”
“Of course I will, anyways have fun you two.” She giggled.
Seriously mom…?. Have fun??. How can I have fun now that she’s here??!. This feels like h’ll to me!.
“Alright.” I hung up.
I slumped unto the soft couch, breathing out deeply. Could what that bch said be true?. Has this fake marriage turned me to something else??. What could it be??. What the fk am I turning into???.
I grabbed my phone, scrolled through the contacts and sent Ryan a text which stated, *Bro, can we hang out?.*
And quickly, he responded. “Sure dude, at where?.”
“What bout your place?.”
“No problem.” He sent.
“Good. I should also text Jay about it.”
“Uhm…okay.”
I picked my car keys from the nightstand next to me and got up to my feet, wore a black blazer that best fits the shirt I was putting on….and yeah, good to go!.
I can’t believe am saying this but at this moment, I don’t think am gonna stay in this house now that she’s here. Not after what just happened…, yep I do feel weird about it.
My plans of cooling down didn’t go as expected so am definitely sure hanging out with those dudes will make me feel a lil relaxed.
I moved towards the door and headed out, I peeped from the staircase to see if she’s at the living room, I seriously don’t know why I had to do that but trust me, I felt relieved she isn’t there.
Weird right?….well, I guess am gradually going nut…

My heart skipped when he stepped out from his car, he smiled walking towards my direction. I got up spreading my arms wide to receive his brief hug…
“Bro…!'” He exclaimed.
“Jay…what’s popping?.” I asked, trying my best not to sound nervous.
“Fine…bro.” He smirked taking his seat, he glanced around and faced me. “Scott isn’t here yet huh.”
“Yeah, he should be on his way. Want some alcohol?”
“H’ll yeah.” He nodded. I poured him a glass and handed it to him, he grabbed it, sipped from it and smiled. “Yo this taste good.”
“Of course it does.” I responded with a fake grin, gosh I feel so uncomfortable around him….all what Lisa said bout him still baffle me. It also hurts, how could he separate us and still do all those bad stuff to Lisa!?. I just have to act normal, it’s really uncomfortable for me.
Shortly, Scott’s car drove into my compound. He alighted from his car and slowly approached us. “Ryan….Jay!.” He shook hands with us.
“Whoa…Scott, you really surprised me with your text.” Said Jacob.
“In what way?.” He asked.
“You’ve been really busy lately and you hardly have our time so I was surprised when I saw your text bro.”
“Oh..”
“You look stressed out, are you okay?.” I asked him.
He sighed. “Yeah…I am.”
“Well, am happy bout your decision. So…how is she?.” Jay questioned facing Scott.
“Who?.”
“Riley of course.” He chuckled.
“Why do you ask?.” Scott uttered with a straight look, I also thought about it though….like why the h’ll is Jacob asking of Riley…..
? You also have to warn Scott too, there’s no doubt he won’t go after him and his family.. ?
I couldn’t help but to remember Melissa’s word, i just have this feeling there’s a reason why he asked for her, maybe he is planning on doing what he did to Lisa to Riley….who knows. Gosh, I really have to inform Scott bout this soon before things get worst. He has to know the real Jacob we’ve been friends with. Yeah….we have been mingling with the d’vil…
“Why do you ask Jay?.” Scott repeated as he gulped down his alcohol and refilled the glass.
“Just asking bro…you know…is she doing her job perfectly as planned?.” Jay shrugged.
“Yeah, she is.” Scott replied.

I wasn’t really in the mood when I saw his stupid text, I was furious on what those fools told me….I still wondered how she survived. I needed to find out, I needed to know how she is still breathing….!. I’m so curious, I felt a little bit scared….what if she’s truly the one those incompetent fools saw?. Dmn…!!. Then she mustn’t leak out what I did to anyone!. I must find out where she is…and what the h’ll would she be doing??..
I could have ignored Scott’s text but…an idea popped up in my head, i realized I could kill two birds with a stone.
” Why do you ask Jay?.” He said.
Just asking bro…you know…is she doing her job perfectly as planned?.” I responded.
“Yeah, she Is.”
“So….guys there’s this party I got invited to and I would love it if you two also attend.” I said.
“Really??.” Scott asked.
“Whose party is it?.”
“A very good friend of mine from highschool, it’s a mask party by the way.” I answered Ryan. “It’s gonna be fun though.” I added.
“A mask party?.”
“Yeah….you know…those kinds where you were expensive outfit with classy mask on….haven’t you heard of that?.” I faced Ryan.
“Yo count me in then.” Scott exclaimed excitedly. I smirked, just as I want ’em to feel…I looked at Ryan and asked him, “You’re gonna come right?.”
He became silent for some minutes before he responded, “Uh…yeah why not.”
“Nice!.”

“You’re gonna come right?.” He asked as they both looked at me to hear my response. Of course I don’t wish to attend whatever party he is talking about, it’s dangerous now that I’ve known who he really is.
“Uh….yeah…why not.” I said.
“Nice!.” He exclaimed.
“So….when is it and where?.” Scott asked. Gosh…I really wish I can talk Scott over this party stuff, I don’t trust this d’vil in front of us.
“I’ll text you guys the address, it’s tomorrow night.” He said.
Oh gosh!.
“And also, a plus one is included.”
“Plus one…?.”
“Yeah, you should bring someone along.” He smirked.
“Is that necessary?.” I said.
“Yeah.”
“By the way, Ryan….it has been a while since I’ve set my eyes on Melissa. How is she and have you two settle things together?.” Scott questioned me.
My heart skipped, Jacob faced me immediately Scott asked that. My mind drifted to her, her words….everything she said. I began feeling nervous as i avoided Jacob’s gaze, i do feel nervous whenever I wanna tell a lie.
“I also haven’t set my eyes on her.” I said to Scott.
“Oh…why is that?.” He asked in a low voice, with a confused expression while Jacob just threw me a straight serious look.
“I…I don’t know, I just haven’t seen her.”
“Oh that’s sad.”
“So…who are you gonna bring along to the party you speak of?.” I asked, trying to change the topic.
“Any hot chick won’t be bad…” Jacob replied.
“Same here.” I smirked…

“He invited you??.” She asked standing up to her feet.
“Yeah, i had no choice babe.” I sighed.
“You’ll have to be careful Ryan, I’m very sure he will do something evil, that guy is a d’vil!..” She said worriedly.
“Yeah i know. What do you think we can do?.”
She paused for a while before she beamed a smile and looked at me in a way i quickly understood her thoughts.
“Don’t tell me you’re…..”
“Yup!.” She interrupted me.
“No Lisa. It’s too dangerous!. What if you get caught!.”
“I won’t Ryan, I’ve gat to go with you.” She stated.
“No…” I insisted.
“Why.?. After all you need a plus one for you to attend.” She folded her arms.
“Then i won’t go.”
“Ryan….” She muttered.
“Lisa, please am worried about you. You don’t have to do this.”
“You have to go Ryan, do this for me.” She said in a pleading tone.
“Wait …don’t tell me you wanna plan something in that party..?.”
“Well….I….”
“Fk!. Lisa…..are you out of your mind?.” I softly cut in.
She sighed as i moved close to her. “It’s risky babe.”
“They’re gonna wear mask right…?. ”
“So…?. You won’t go and that’s final, please.” I begged. I leaned my head forward to her face and kssed her lips softly. She reciprocated, wrapping her arms round my neck as we kssed deeply.
“Don’t do this please.” I whispered low.
“Alright.” She sighed in defeat making me smile. “Thanks babe, i love you.”
“Love you too.” She smiled.
“I should go now….before the owner of this house comes.” I said withdrawing from her even if I don’t want to, I feel like cuddling her forever…
