CHAPTER 25
She felt a presence beside her, but she didn’t bother to look at the person since she already knew who it was.
“Done talking with my mom,” she said, still sipping her Coke, and Martin just rolled his eyes.
“Yeah, and we had a great chat. She even asked me when I am going to get married to you,” Martin said, and Evelyn turned to look at him angrily.
“If only my mom knew the type of person you are, she would not want to see your face ever,” Evelyn said, gritting her teeth angrily, and Martin chuckled.
“Ouch… that was mean, but just so you know, I am not hiding anything.
I am not a wicked guy. I am just a guy who is helplessly in love with her daughter,” he said, and Evelyn just stared at him.
It really affected her. The words made her blush, but as always, she was trying to hide it.
“Evelyn,” a young man in a white coat called, and Evelyn smiled lightly.
“Celeb,” Evelyn called, and they both hugged each other, while Martin frowned.
He was trying to keep it cool.
“The doctor told me you have paid for the surgery. That is great news,” he said.
“Hmmm, thank you. Well, Celeb, I would like to say thank you for treating my mother and making sure she is perfectly fine,” Evelyn said, and Celeb just smiled.
Martin was really jealous, as he kept moving up and down. He was trying to keep it cool and didn’t want to create a scene in a hospital.
“Yeah, it’s okay. I will do anything for you, Evelyn,” he said, and Evelyn just smiled, while Celeb kept staring at her weirdly, which Martin noticed.
Celeb liked Evelyn and had confronted her last week, but Evelyn told him she was going to think about it.
Celeb was a 23-year-old guy, handsome, nice, and very kind.
“Do you mind hanging out with me this weekend?” Celeb asked, and Evelyn sighed, turning to look at Martin, who had been glaring at her all this while.
And to think the guy hadn’t noticed him was annoying him.
“Hmmmm, I think…”
“She will be busy with me,” Martin replied, wrapping his hand around her shoulder, while Celeb just scoffed.
“Who is this?” he asked, glaring at Martin.
“She is my fiancée,” Martin said, and Celeb scoffed.
“I wasn’t asking you,” Celeb yelled, getting annoyed already, and Martin smirked.
“Evelyn,” he called, expecting her to say something, and Evelyn sighed.
“I am her fiancé,” Martin replied again.
“I wasn’t talking to you, you…,” Celeb yelled, hitting his chest.
“Whoa, whoa, don’t tell me you are jealous,” Martin smirked and kissed Evelyn on her shoulder.
“Martin, stop,” Evelyn yelled, pushing him away.
“Celeb, I really need to go right now,” Evelyn said and rushed out, leaving the two men who wouldn’t stop glaring at each other.
“Stay away from Evelyn, Doctor Celeb, because she is mine,” Martin said seriously, becoming a little bit scary at the same time, and Celeb just stared at him.

“Thank you for the ride,” Evelyn said, trying to walk out of the car, but Martin pulled her back.
“I will come pick you up myself tomorrow,” Martin said, and Evelyn scoffed.
She attempted to exit the car, but he pulled her back and kssed her quickly, causing Evelyn to gasp.
