He moved toward her shirt, starting to unbutton it, but that seemed to snap Evelyn out of her pleasure, and she quickly pushed Martin away.
“Stay away from me,” she yelled angrily, buttoning her shirt up.
She really didn’t know what to do right now. She couldn’t even try to push him away when he kssed her; instead, she reciprocated the kss, and she didn’t like that.
She stared at him for a while, trying to walk out of the room, but Martin was quick enough to hold her.
“Where do you think you’re going?” he asked gently, staring at her. Evelyn sighed and removed his hand from hers.
“I am going back to work,” she said, and Martin scoffed.
“Really, Evelyn? Is it because of the incident that just happened?” he asked in a husky voice, clearly annoyed.
“Yeah, because of the damn incident. You use every opportunity you get to try and get intimate with me.”
“What on earth are you talking about?” Martin yelled angrily, making Evelyn shiver in fear. He sighed.
He really wanted to stay calm, as Cole had told him, but she was making it hard for him.
“Don’t pretend like you… you don’t know what I’m tal… talking about.
All you want is to have sx with me, and I am never going to allow you to do that to me,” she said seriously.
She glared harshly at him and tried to walk out, but Martin wouldn’t let her.
“Really, Evelyn? So you think that all I want is to have sx with you?” he asked, annoyed, but Evelyn couldn’t reply.
When they were dating, he never showed any interest in having sex with her.
They usually kssed, but he had never once attempted to sleep with her, and a part of her was telling her to mind her speech.
“Evelyn, I do want to have sx with you, yes, I admit that, but I also want to spend the rest of my life with you.
I want you to be mine and be the mother of my unborn kids,” he said, his voice showing how sincere he was, and Evelyn just stared at him.
A part of her believed him, but the stubborn part of her didn’t want her to believe it.
“I must have you back, Evelyn. I am so determined to have you back in my life, and I am never going to stop trying,” he said, staring lovingly into her eyes, and they continued to stare at each other.
She pulled her hand away from his and walked out of the room, while Martin just scoffed and then suddenly smiled, gently rubbing his lip with a smile on his face.
He really enjoyed that kss so much, and he kept craving for more.
Evelyn entered the small apartment, lost in thought. She really wanted to go to the office, but she didn’t want to give the employees something to talk about.
She sighed and sat gently on the couch, staring into space, not noticing the young man sitting beside her.
“Hey, bestie,” he snapped his fingers in front of her face, making her flinch back.
“Are you okay? You seem lost, and you came back too early. Is everything alright?” he asked in a concerned tone, and Evelyn nodded, faking a smile, which made the young man frown.
He knew his best friend better than anyone else, and he could tell something was bothering her right now.
“Where is Ava?” she asked, trying to sound alright, but she was not.
She was really deep in thought. A part of her wanted to give Martin a chance.
“She is sleeping,” he replied, and Evelyn nodded.
