He was really losing it. Only he had the right to call her the nickname “Eve.”
“Okay, our computers make work much easier. You can use a remote to control them whenever you want.
Martin’s Technique Company simplifies work,” Evelyn explained, and Mr. Tom smiled.
“Wow, I think I will sign the deal,” he said, winking at Evelyn, who scoffed.
“If you don’t want to sign the deal, then leave,” Martin snapped, and Mr. Tom frowned.
“Evelyn, please walk me to the car,” he requested, and Evelyn nodded, forcing a smile, while Martin frowned but wasted no time in following them.
“You are such a beautiful girl,” Mr. Tom complimented, and Evelyn forced a tight smile.
She didn’t know why she felt so uncomfortable around this man, but she didn’t like the feeling.
She turned around and suddenly felt at ease when she saw Martin walking behind them.
“You know, you can have all of my property, but that will only happen if you agree to be with me,” he said, gently rubbing Evelyn’s face.
Suddenly, he abruptly pulled his hand away from her face.
“You shouldn’t hara$s my workers,” he said, and Mr. Tom just chuckled.
“See you soon, Eve,” he smirked, and the guard opened the door for him as he walked in.
She turned to the side and saw Martin glaring angrily at her.
“What?” she asked.
“Nothing,” he replied, and started walking into the company.
“Why are you angry, Martin?” Evelyn asked, confused or perhaps trying to provoke him.
“You know why I’m furious, Eve,” he yelled, causing all the staff to turn towards them, but they quickly diverted their attention elsewhere upon seeing his anger.
“You’re ruining everything,” Evelyn said as they walked into his office.
“I’m sorry, Evelyn. I thought he was hara$sing you,” Martin said, and Evelyn laughed.
“You’re really something else,” Evelyn shook her head and tried to leave, but Martin grabbed her waist, pulling her closer to him.
“I love you so much,” he said, kssing her neck.

“I love you so much,” he whispered in her ear and kissed her neck softly.
She turned around to look at him. Martin was so surprised.
He remembered a few days ago she wouldn’t allow him to come closer to her.
“My sister is having a spelling bee today.
So I was thinking, could you allow me to go? I want to be there with her,” she said, and he frowned.
“Please, Martin, just allow me to go,” she said, giving him puppy eyes, and Martin scoffed.
“I wasn’t angry because you want to go,” he said, and Evelyn stared at him, confused.
“You should have told me earlier,” he said, and Evelyn smiled.
“Thank you,” she said and tried to walk out of the office, but he pulled her back.
“What time, anyway?” he asked.
“Hmmm, 2:30,” she replied.
“I’m coming with you,” he said.
