Haris stared at her, trying to see through her, and her eyes widened when he caught sight of love b!tes on her neck.
“Hmmm, Evelyn, did you have sx with someone?” he asked, smirking, knowing fully well it was no other person than Martin, and Evelyn’s eyes widened.
“Why… why would you say that?” she stuttered nervously, and Haris just chuckled.
“Why are your lips swollen, and why are there love b!tes on your neck?” Haris asked, raising his eyebrows, and Evelyn quickly covered her neck and mouth.
“Hmm, we only kssed, Haris, I swear,” she said, and Haris burst into laughter.
“I really don’t care, though. You guys can kss all you want, but really, why aren’t you guys dating again? I can tell you both love each other ¢razily,” Haris said, and Evelyn sighed.
“I don’t like the way he behaves. He is always overprotective, possessive, and a jealous freak.
He wouldn’t even allow me to get close to anyone,” Evelyn said, and Haris chuckled.
“You don’t really need to tell me that about him. I already know, and I also think you can change him. It’s because you allow him to control you, bestie.
He wants to be in control of you, but you can also go against that.
Change him if you don’t like him that way instead of hurting yourself by being with someone you love,” Haris said, and Evelyn huffed.
“Don’t tell me that. Martin is not changing,” Evelyn said, and Haris just shrugged his shoulders.
Almost immediately, there was a knock on the door, and Evelyn opened it only to come face to face with Martin.
“What the heck are you doing here?” Evelyn asked, annoyed, and Martin just pushed himself into the small apartment.
He frowned as soon as he saw Haris sitting on the couch, and Haris rolled his eyes.
“Get out of my apartment, Martin,” Evelyn yelled, and Martin just sighed.
“Evelyn, we really need to talk,” he pleaded.
“There is nothing to talk about.”
“Okay, I think the ex-couple needs some time alone,” Haris thought to himself and walked towards the kitchen, leaving them alone.
“Eve, seriously, I really want us to get back together. I’m begging you,” Martin said, and Evelyn just stared at him.
She was really surprised to see him pleading. She did want to get back together, but she was afraid of his overprotective nature, and she wanted that to stop. Just as she was thinking, an idea suddenly popped into her head, and she sighed.
She really hoped it would work.
“Martin, if you really want us to get back together, I have a test for you,” Evelyn said, and Martin frowned.
“If you can stand the sight of men around me within five days, then we can start dating again,” she said seriously, and Martin scoffed.
Evelyn really wanted him to change.
“First of all, I want you to be close to Haris. Take him as your brother or friend, and if you can do that, then we can start dating…”
“Darn, I can’t believe she’s telling me to do that. I can’t stand her being with another man,” Martin said, roughly running his hand through his hair, and Cole chuckled.
They were at Cole’s house. Martin had come to meet him after visiting Evelyn.
“Come on, man, you’re so jealous. I thought I just gave you a speech a day ago.
Come on, man, she wants to be around boys, and you can’t stop her from having male friends if she wants to,” Cole said, and Martin sighed.
Almost immediately, a maid came and dropped two glasses of juice. She bowed down and walked out.
“You can do this, Martin. Five days, and she can be yours again,” Cole said, taking a sip from his drink, and Martin nodded.
“Okay, I will and I must have her back,” he said boldly, and Cole chuckled, patting his shoulder.
