Chapter 39
The car parked in the spacious compound, and there were many students and parents walking around.
All attention turned toward Martin as he stepped out of the car, and everyone gasped as they stared at him.
Martin was a handsome man, and every lady dreams of having a handsome man.
“I think he is the owner of Martin Technique,” one of the girls yelled.
“Oh my goodness, he is so handsome,” a girl yelled through the crowd.
This is one of the reasons he doesn’t like coming out.
“His hair is so long.”
“It makes him look sexy and even more handsome,” another girl yelled.
“Is that Ava’s sister? Could it be that he is her boyfriend?” someone commented, making Evelyn blush while Martin smirked.
He loves it when they call him her boyfriend; he just wants the world to know that she is his.
The school hall was enormous, and as soon as they entered, everyone turned their attention toward him, as always.
The girls stared at him with admiration, while the boys looked at him with curiosity, wondering who he was.
Others who knew him stared at him with jealousy and surprise, wondering what he was doing there.
They both sat down in a row at the front. Evelyn looked at the students sitting on the side, and she smiled when she saw Ava. Ava’s eyes met hers, and she waved at her.
“We are about to start, but first, I would like to appreciate everyone who is here today, especially Martin Parker, the owner of Technique Company,” a man, who apparently was the school principal, yelled from the stage.
Everyone clapped, but most of the girls couldn’t stop screaming, while Martin just scoffed and didn’t bother to wave.
All the glory was given to him, but he just remained with his usual expression, not caring to wave.
“You are being rude,” Evelyn playfully tapped his shoulder, but he didn’t bother to look at her, and she just rolled her eyes.
“We have only 20 students, and they are from each class. They are also the best spelling students ever in this school,” the principal announced.

Everyone clapped with excitement as their names were called.
Evelyn felt someone staring at her, and it made her uncomfortable.
She turned to the other side only to be met with a dark figure scaring her, causing her to flinch backward.
He was huge and dressed in a black hoodie.
She noticed there were two of them, but she didn’t waste time looking away from them.
“They are terrifying,” she muttered to herself.
“Are you okay?” Martin asked, and she nodded while he huffed.
He could tell she was uncomfortable and restless.

“I am so proud of you, my princess,” Evelyn hugged Ava as soon as they were out of the hall.
The spelling bee was over, and Ava did really great. She came in second and received an award.
Having a sister who wins is something to be proud of, and Evelyn is so happy to have her as a sister, her princess, her baby girl.
“The young girl broke away from the hug and turned to look at Martin, who was staring at them.
Without hesitation, she immediately hugged him, leaving him in shock.”
