EPISODE 8
Kira stood rooted on the ground as her gaze followed the retreating silhouette of Tim. There’s a side of her telling to chase Tim and talk to him.
“Drake, could you hold Yana?” Kira asked Drake when Tim is out of her sight.
“Yes,” Drake took Yana from Kira.
Kira hurriedly followed Tim as soon as Drake took Yana.
Drake was left inside the apartment room, in confusion.
‘What is going on?’ He asked himself.
‘Why Kira is acting like this?’
Drake’s mind is full of questions,
‘Why Mr. Tan suddenly came into the apartment and say that he came to the wrong place?’
‘That doesn’t make sense though,’
‘Where is Kira going anyway?’
Drake took a deep breath, ‘He felt something odd.’
Drake opened the door. He got out of the apartment and watch Kira from the second floor.
It made him more suspicious when she heard Kira called Mr. Tan by his nickname.
“Tim!” Kira called Tim as she tried to catch up with him.
Drake knitted his brows, ‘Do they know each other?’

Tim already reached his car when he heard Kira called him. He stopped in his track, it was the first in four years, that he heard that voice again.
Kira approached Tim, she stopped a few meters away from him.
Tim tilted his body to face Kira with his cold expression.
“Explain to me,” He said.
“Why are you with that man?” He asked resentfully.
“T-Tim…” It is the only word that Kira blurted out!.
She doesn’t know what to say anymore. She was mental blocked when she saw the anger on Tim’s eyes.
“Explain and I will listen,” Tim said again, but Kira just stared at him.
“Ha!” Tim let out a short yet sarcastic laugh when he heard nothing from Kira.
He lowered his head as he pursed his lips to suppress his anger.
“Four years…” Tim spoke.
“I have waited for four years, Kira,” He said bitterly as he lifted his gaze again.
“I was hoping that you will come back to me. I thought that you only want to heal the pain, you did not say that you’re going to find another man to replace me,” Tim shook his head.
Kira saw the pain in Tim’s eyes and all she could think was her conversation with Dana this morning.
“I’m sorry…” Kira blurted out.
She was asking for an apology for what he had gone through for leaving him four years ago. But it only made Tim misunderstand Kira’s apology. He thought that Kira is trying to apologize for replacing him with another man.
Tim’s shoulders dropped. He shook his head again before he opened his car and rode on it.
Kira took steps to follow Tim, but she stopped when Tim suddenly drove the car away with full speed.
Drake can see Kira from the second floor of the apartment building.
‘What s going on Kira?’ Drake asked himself again.
‘Why you seem to know him well?’
Drake looked at Yana who is in his arms. He stared at the child and a realization came into his mind!
‘Coul it be?’
Drake’s body trembled as he thinks of the possibility of Yana’s father!
‘No,’
‘No,’ Drake is in denial.
He felt like he lost his strength, so he decided to get inside the apartment room.

Kira’s tears roll down to her face as she watched Tim drove his car away. It was her chance to tell him everything she wanted to say in four years, but she just let it slip!
“I’m sorry,” Kira mumbled.
“I’m sorry for causing you so much pain!”
Kira just stood there for a few minutes while crying, before she decided to get back to her apartment room. Her footsteps were heavy and her eyes were swollen.
Kira found Drake sitting on the sofa with Yana beside him.
“Is there something I don’t know?” Drake asked in his serious expression as soon as Kira entered.
She looked at Drake and drake shifted his gaze to Kira, “I…” He gulped.
“I saw you…” he said as his voice cracked.
“He…”
“He is my husband,” Kira said honestly, she has no reason to lie to Drake.
“Oh,” Drake lowered his head, pain could be seen in his eyes.
“No wonder you were so surprised when you learned that I closed a partnership contract with the Tan Corporation. Now I know why you keep on refusing my love for you, my love rival is so hard to beat,” Drake revealed a forced smile.
“I’m sorry,” It’s the only words that Kira was able to say.
“Don’t apologize, you’re, making me feel too weak,” Drake said as he looked at Kira, forcing himself to look alright.

Tim drove his car straight to Tan Corporation. He got off his car after parking it. He entered the building. His employees greeted him, but Tim ignored all of them as if he did not hear anyone.
Tim ride the lift and in just a few minutes, he arrived in his office. He kicked his swivel chair to vent all his frustration.
‘Not because I am leaving, doesn’t mean I don’t love you,’ Kira’s words from four years ago, flashed into Tim’s mind.
Tim tightened his grip.
Did she tell that Drake Samson to have a partnership with his company to ruin it?
Tim couldn’t help but ask himself.
Didn’t she still forgive my father and she’s back to take revenge?
Tim froze…
What am I thinking?
Kira wouldn’t do such a thing!
Tim held his head with both of his hands as if he is having a headache. He sat on the couch, while still holding his head.
Then the image of the child on Kira’s arms flashed into his mind.
‘That child, she looked like three to four-years-old!’
He couldn’t understand what he felt when he saw the child.
Tim was in deep thought when Coby arrived in his office.
“Mr. Tan,” Coby called Tim, but Tim seems like he did not hear him.
“Mr. Tan?” Coby called again.
Only then, Tim removed his hands from his head as he lifted his face. He looked at Coby with his blank expression.
“Huh?” He blurted out.
“I have already sent Ms. Dana to her house,” Coby said.
“Uh,” Tim seems to be absent-minded.
“Is there anything you want, Mr. Tan?” Coby asked.
“No,” Tim replied as he blinks his eyes a few times.
“I shall take my leave now, sir!” Coby said before she turned and headed to the door, but before he could get out of the office, Tim called him again, “Coby…”
Coby stopped in his track.
He turned back to Tim,” Yes, Mr. Tan?”
“I want you to get some information at the National Statistics Office if Kira gave birth to a child three years ago,”
Coby was stunned when he heard Tim!
“W-What?!” Coby blurted out.
“Mr. Tan, you already saw the Missus, Mr. Tan?” Coby asked.
Tim looked at Coby. He throws him a meaningful look.
“Did you know that she’s back?” Tim asked.
He narrowed his eyes as he looked at Coby suspiciously.
Coby gulped!
He almost bites his tongue for being so talkative!
“Uh, It’s…” Coby was thinking whether to deny it or not.
Tim did not pull back his gaze from Coby as he waited for him to finish what he wanted to say.
Coby couldn’t look at Tim straight to his eyes.
He is not used to lying to Tim, so, he doesn’t have a choice but to tell him the truth.
“My…” Coby spoke again.
“My fiancee called me this morning, she told me that the Missus went to her store,” Coby said.
“She… went to Lea’s store?” Tim repeated.
“Yes, Mr. Tan,” Coby replied as he nodded his head.
Tim sighs!
This time, he pulled back his gaze from Coby. He looked at the floor as he fell in deep thought.
‘She already met her best friend, but she did not show her self to me,’.
‘No, she doesn’t plan to show her self to me!’ Tim said to himself.
Tim lifted his gaze again.
“Go and do what I ordered you to do, I want the information as soon as possible,” Tim said to Coby.
Coby felt relieved somehow. He thought that Tim would scold him for not telling him about the missus earlier.

The next day was Kira’s first day of work. She was about to get Yana from the floor when she heard a knock on the door.
She froze before she walked to the door and to open it.
It was Drake!
Kira was a bit stunned!
She stared at Drake without blinking her eyes.
“Are you not letting me in?” Drake asked with a faint smile on his face.
“A-Are you not mad at me?” Kira asked Drake.
“Why would I get mad at you?” Drake asked back.
“Because…” Kira did not finish her word.
“It is your choice to keep your private life, I wouldn’t get mad at you just because you did not tell me the truth, besides, I don’t have the right to get mad,” Drake said, though he still tried to act natural, Kira can still see the pain in his eyes.
“Come on! Don’t look at me pitifully, I don’t want to feel weak,” Drake said.
“Oh,” Kira blurted out.
“I’ll send you to work, I can also look after Yana until her nanny arrived tonight.”
“You already found a nanny?!” Kira asked in surprised.
“Ennn… And we can trust her,” Drake said.
“Thank you so much for helping me, Drake” Kira said.
“You’re welcome!” Drake replied.
“Let’s go, before you get late!”
Kira took Yana before she got out of her apartment and headed to Drake’s car.

Kira thought that her first day would be hard.
Fortunately, her co-workers were treating her good.
She felt like, she’s still on the same campus as the campus at M Province.

In the afternoon at Tan Corporation,
“Mr. Tan, I already have the child’s information,” Coby said as he entered Tim’s office.
“Tell me what’s on it,” Tim said.
“You were right, sir, The Missus gave birth to a female child three years ago,” Coby gave the record to Tim.
Tim took the piece of paper on Coby’s hand. He takes a look at it, and he froze when he saw the child’s date of birth!
Kira left the month of May in the year 2015, she gave birth to a child in January in the year 2016!
Tim’s heart beats faster!
‘That child!’
‘Kira was one month pregnant when she left!’
‘He wasn’t mistaken with his suspicion!’
‘No wonder, he felt so enlightened when he looked at the child!’
“Do you know where she works now?” Tim asked Coby,
“According to my fiancee, she works at St. Luke Academy, sir!” Coby replied.
Tim got up from his seat, still holding the piece of paper in his hand.
“Cancel my meeting tonight, I have to go somewhere,” Tim said.
He picked up his blazer and walks out of his office.
Coby just watched as Tim walked away.

It’s already five when Kira decided to go home. There are no students on the campus, only the security guards were left.
Kira got out of the gate, but she was stunned when someone suddenly blocked her way.
Kira looked up to the person who blocked her way, and her heart skipped a beat!
‘Tim!’ She cried inside.
“Is he the reason why you did not come back?” Tim suddenly asked sarcastically.
“W-What?!” Kira blurted out!
“Did he know that you have a husband? Did he know that you were still married to me? And did he know that I am the father of that child?” Tim asked one after the other, his expression is cold.
Kira was stunned when she heard Tim!
“H-How…”
“How did I know?” Tim asked sarcastically.
“Ha!” Tim let out a sarcastic laugh, ” Have you forgot? I am an influential man, I have my way of knowing every little thing about you,” Tim said coldly.
“I can even ruin that man’s company if I want to,” Tim added.
“Don’t you dare to implicate him to this matter, Tim!” Kira defended Drake.
Drake is a good man, and he didn’t do anything wrong!
“Did you tell him to have a partnership with me to take revenge?”
“No, Drake doesn’t know anything about you!” Kira’s voice raised.
This man doesn’t give her a chance to explain her self!
Tim gritted his teeth when Kira defended Drake.
“Alright, I am not here to talk about that ba$tard anyway!” Tim said.
He looked at Kira straight to the eyes, ” I am here to ask for the child’s custody.”
” What?!” Kira blurted out in disbelief!
“I am the father, and you hide her existence for three years, do you think I would just let this slip? Even if you refuse, I can still find a way to get the child!”
Kira forgot the guilt that she felt inside.
Now, she felt furious!
“Go!” She said as she glared at Tim.
“Do whatever you want to do. You’re like that anyway. You don’t care about other people’s feelings. You only think of what you feel. You can even manipulate things!” Kira said meaningfully which made Tim snapped back to his senses.
“You want to take my daughter away from me? That won’t be easy, because I will fight you!”
After saying her word, Kira walks past Tim furiously.
She then hailed for a taxi.

Who will solve this puzzle now?
Can we still blame KIRA for this?
I don’t even understand how to settle it again, it’s getting harder every episode by episode.
