Max just glared at Oliver, he didn’t like the fact that he was the one with Daria, getting her attention.

Though his dad was trying not to act concerned but Max could see through his dad.

That’s why open minded Finn is.

Max knows that Finn probably doesn’t want to make any move on Daria because Oliver likes her.

“Dad let’s get ice – cream outside.”, Max said and Finn nodded.

“You two can continue with the movie, we will just be outside.”, Finn said to Daria who already stood up.

“Daria has to keep her eyes on me, that’s why she is being paid. Uncle Oliver don’t you think you are disturbing her, she knows for me and you are distracting her.”, Max said and Finn shut him up.

“I can watch after you.”, Finn offered and Max frowned.

“No I should do it, it’s my job anyway.”, Daria said and Max smirked at Oliver.

Oliver and Finn crossed to the other street to get the ice cream while Daria and Max waited at the other side.

“Tell me Max — are you always buIIied in school?”, Daria asked and Max just looked away.

“Stop being so noisy and mind your business.”, He replied rudely.

“I know it’s not my business but I don’t know why I’m concerned about you.”, She said and Max turned to look at her.

“That’s probably because you want my dad, so you have to act nice to his son.”, He said and Daria shook his head.

“That’s not the main reason, I was also buIIied in school because I had no parents. I just want to know so that I will know how I can help you.”, She said and Max looked at her again wondering if she can be trusted.

“No I don’t get buIIied, so stop asking questions.”, He said as he walked away.

“Max!!!”, Daria called worried seeing a cab going to the way where Max was.

She quickly pulled Max closer and they both fell down on the ground.

“Are you ¢razy? Do you want to die?”, She yelled.

“Why are you even yelling at me? I wouldn’t chose to kll myself.”, He said as tears welled up in his eyes.

“I’m sorry for yelling at you, please forgive me.”, She said as she brought him closer for a hug.

“I …. I am sorry too, I also put you in danger.”, He said as he hugged her tightly.

Daria smiled hearing max apologize, it was be a new thing to him.

“Daria… Max!! God are you two okay?”, Finn asked as he rushed to them.

“Max is okay too, he just has a bruise, so you don’t have to worry.”, Daria replied and he hugged the both of them.

“I’m also worried about you.”, He said and Daria’s eyes lit up and her cheeks reddened.

Max too didn’t know when be started smiling.

“You are my employee, of course I should be worried about you.”, He said.

“Huh?”

Oliver just stood from afar watching the scene, he had just ask Finn if he has started to have feelings but he denied and now he’s more worried that he should.

“I will carry you to the car.”, He said to Daria since her wounds were pretty serious.

“No I will do it, you shouldn’t be doing things like this, it makes girls fall helpless for their nice boss.”, Oliver said and Finn immediately released Daria.

“I will carry max.”, Finn said dejectedly as he moved away for Oliver to carry her.

Max just glared at Oliver.

“You can never own Daria’s heart cos it already belongs to my dad.”, Max thought.

“You should be more careful next time max, why don’t you help me so that I won’t be very worried all the time.”, Finn said as he carried Max.

“I am sorry dad.”, He muttered and Finn’s eyes widened.

“What did you just say?”, He said as he turned to look at his son.

“I can’t remember.”, Max said and Finn just laughed.

“You should say this more often, maybe we may start to get along.”, He said.

“You should be more careful next time. I don’t like seeing you in this state.”, Oliver said as he dropped Daria in the passenger seat.

“You don’t have to carry me, I can still walk.”, Daria said

“I have to do this for you to like me.”, He said as he tuck some strands of behind her ear.

Finn and max got into the car and they drove home.

Oliver stayed with them for a while, after he made sure that Daria was okay, he left.

Daria felt a bit guilty because she just gave Oliver false hope because it doesn’t look like she was going to get over Finn.

Infact she didn’t want to get over him, she wants him to like her too.

She made up her mind that she was going to tell Oliver that she likes someone who she is not ready to forget.

“Are you going to date uncle Oliver?”, Max asked and she shook her head.

“How much do you like me dad?”, He asked and Daria looked at him suspiciously.

“Why are you interrogating me? Do you want to snitch to your dad?”

“I’m doing an interrogation because my dad is very important to me, I just want to make sure he doesn’t get hurts again.”, He replied.

“But I shouldn’t be discussing this with you, we are not close and I don’t fully trust you.”, She said.

“I don’t trust you either but we need to talk about this because it’s my dad.”, He replied as he crossed his hand across his chest waiting for her answer.

“I like him so much that I am ready to wait until he is ready to love again.”, She replied.

“What if I don’t approve of your relationship because I hate you and I only want my mom for him?”, He asked.

“I will be patient till you like him but about your mom … She was probably your dad’s first love and she’s your mom, I can’t take her place in your heart and your dad’s.”, She replied.

“Okay!”, He said as he started to walk towards his room

“So did I pass the test?”, She asked.

“We’ll see.”, Max replied and Daria growled.

“Gosh that kid! So annoying, isn’t it so funny that even after everything, I don’t hate him?”, She muttered.

“Mr Finn wants to see you in his room.”, Helen said and Daria’s eyes widened.

“Was he going to ….!”, She stopped and blushed.

“Maybe he’s horny.”, She thought and when she got to his room, she met him asleep already.

Her eyes went to the table where his laptop is, he had just taken some pills that makes people sleep.

She told herself to leave but she did the opposite, she moved closer and closer till she was close to him.

She was tempted to run her hands on his face and she did, she already ran her hands in his soft hair.

She then stared at his inviting lips wondering if she should give in to the temptation of kssing him.

“He won’t wake up since he took a sleeping pill, I should just be quick, he won’t notice.”, She said convincing herself.

She took her lips closer to his and she placed it on it.

She felt his lips move and she quickly pull out immediately.

“Oh God! I’m de.ad!!!”, She said as his eyes fluttered open, looking at her confused.
