CHAPTER 97
“Valentina” He muttered and cupped her cheek, reconnecting back their lips together.
“If you want to know who she really is, you have to look with your heart..” Michael’s words rang in his mind and that just gave him more hope, more hope that his suspicions are correct..that this is his heartbeat.
Valentina brought her hand to his chest and gently ran her hands through it before slowly removing his shirt, tossing it off..
“Are you sure about it? You won’t regret it afterwards right?” Ricardo whispered in her ears.
“Yes” Valentina said and bit her lips.
Ricardo nodded and then slowly lifted up her gown, removing it from her body. He pulled her closer by the waist and reclaimed her lips as they gently went down, with Ricardo on top.

TWILIGHT JUNIOR**
“Well sure!, I can help you out with your homework.. After school” Myles smiled with one hand in his pocket.
“Really?! Thanks so much Myles!!” A girl called Paula exclaimed and pecked his cheek. Myles just smiled..
“You’re welcome.. I just hope you understand quickly coz my dad will come pick me up” Myles said.
“Of course I do!, it’s just that I wasn’t present when the teacher was teaching it if not I wouldn’t be here disturbing you” Paula sighed while Myles just chuckled..
Leslie scoffed from where she was sitting, watching them discuss and laugh. She decided to ignore them but always end up looking their way.
Myles finished talking with Paula before he walked towards Leslie with a smile on his lips.
“Hey Leslie!, I have a nice gist to tell you!” Myles said, sitting beside her but she immediately stood up
“I’m not interested..go tell it to your Paula maybe she’ll give you a peck at the end” Leslie rolled her eyes and made to leave but Myles caught her hand standing too.
“What’s wrong?” Myles asked.
“Let me go! There’s nothing I’m fine, you can go meet Paula” Leslie said and turned to leave but he caught her by the arm and turned her to face him.
He looked carefully at her face before smiling.
“You’re jealous? Yeah, you’re jealous!!” Myles said.
“So?” Leslie said and made to leave but Myles held her arms tightly and then kssed her forehead making Leslie freeze.
“I wanted to tell you this when we’re a little bit older but well since you insist,,, I like you” Myles smiled.
“I know I’m too young like my dad said but it’s my feelings. Don’t worry we’re friends till you turn 15 and then you’ll be my girlfriend” Myles winked and released her before leaving.
Leslie just stared into space, blushing so hard!

RICARDO’S MANSION**
Valentina rose up and yawned loudly, stretching her body. The blanket dropped and she gasped when she saw she was nked.
“Sht!!!” She exclaimed loudly.
So it wasn’t a dream.. She actually went down with Ricardo,, they had sx together!!
“Mvrder me! Just kll me! How can I allow myself so easily like that?!” Valentina lamented loudly..
“Why did I say yes? Why?!” She kept questioning herself.
She suddenly stopped and looked round the room but couldn’t see Ricardo. She sighed sadly..
“He left without even waiting for me to wake up” she thought
“What were you expecting? That he’ll be interested in an ugly duckling like you?” Her subconscious mind said.
She sighed sadly and buried her face in her palms..
EARLIER**
Ricardo sat up on the bed and looked at the time. It was still 3PM..
He looked at Valentina who was peacefully sleeping beside him. He smiled and brushed her hair to the back many thoughts running through his mind.
“Are you my Valentina? If yes, how did you manage to survive with the baby. Does that mean Pearl is my daughter? How did you loose your memory” Ricardo said stroking her hair.
“Speaking of daughter.. Now that I think about me, Pearl looks a lot like Myles…fk!!” He sighed and leaned on the bed, ruffling his hair.
“If you’re really Valentina then I need to be hanged for being the stupidest husband alive..” Ricardo said.
“Great!, now I speak alone.. This is how madness starts” Ricardo said and stood up from the bed.
“I need to clarify these thoughts and the only way is by conducting a DNA test.. Me and Pearl” Ricardo said inwardly.
He faced back Valentina and kssed her forehead before going to dress up.
BACK TO PRESENT**
Valentina slowly stood up from the bed and picked her dress. She wore it and dressed his room then quietly left the room.
She went downstairs to see Myles and Minnie, strangely Pearl wasn’t with them.
“Afternoon nanny!” Minnie smiled.
“Thanks, where’s Pearl?” Valentina asked.
“Thought she was with you Minnie” Myles said.
“No,, she was with you” Minnie said.
“Wait,,, what?!” Valentina exclaimed.

DENMARK**
“And,, done!!” Charlotte smiled widely once she finished her assignment.
“Can you stop smiling for just some seconds. You have no idea how crazy my heart goes just by your mere smile” Kaden said and lick his lips..
“Really? Then who asked you to come over my place.. You’re a king afterall and you’re supposed to be watching over yoir kingdom and doing some more important things” Charlotte said, coming closer to her.
“Well watching over you is the most important thing I’m doing at the moment. Besides I’ve already done all my works before coming here so I’m all yours” Kaden said, coming closer.
“All mine?” Charlotte said and bit her lower lips.
“All yours” Kaden replied as he stared at her.
Their lips were now just inches apart and when Kaden made to fill the gap, Charlotte pulled back.
“You’re really teasing me” Kaden said, sitting properly.
“I’m not,, you’re the one moving too fast. We just got acquainted few days ago” Charlotte smirked…
“I’ll pretend you’re right” Kaden said.
“Hey, what do you mean by that” Charlotte snapped making him laugh..

CARL CARES**
“The results are ready!” Daniel, Ricardo’s personal maid said.
“What are we doing here.. You said you’ll take me to mommy. Is mommy in the hospital?” Pearl asked worriedly.
“No,, I promise I’ll take you to her after this.” Ricardo said.
Daniel opened the results and read through it in his mind, with a serious look on his face.
“So what does it says..” Ricardo asked, his heart palpitating against his ribcage.. Feeling like it would burst at any moment from now.
“It says..positive?” Daniel said in surprise.
Ricardo fell an wave of life running through his whole body.
“Wait, seriously?” Ricardo asked to be sure.
“Yes, how come.. Did you have an affair with another woman?” Daniel asked.
Ricardo snatched the paper from him through it and truthfully the results were positive!
A smile spread through his lips as he felt tears gather in his eyes. He looked at Pearl who was sitting beside him and he felt so guilty.. How could he not recognize his daughter and wife.
“Was I so blinded by my anger and revenge on Evelyn” Ricardo wondered.
He cleaned his tears and stood up then knelt in front of Pearl. He held her tiny and softly hands.
“Pearl,, my baby. I’m sorry for not finding you earlier..for not recognizing you, I’m so sorry! I promise that from today henceforth I’ll treat you and your mom the way you truly deserve to be treated. My baby..” Ricardo said and hugged her, his tears silently flowing.
“What’s happening?” Pearl said in utter confusion.
Daniel shrugged, he too was super confused.

RICARDO’S MANSION, 8PM**
Valentina kept pacing to and fro round the living room, biting her fingers in panic. Its been four hours and Pearl is nowhere to be found.
“I keep calling dad but it isn’t going” Minnie groaned in frustration.
“Where could that kid be” Myles wondered.
Valentina was almost in tears when the door open and Ricardo walked in Pearl, chatting happily.
“Pearl!” Valentina exclaimed and rushed to her.
“Mommy what’s wrong? Why are you so worried? Look daddy bought me all these toys plus new clothes and he said I’ll be going to school from tomorrow…cool right.” Pearl said happily.
“Daddy?” Valentina said and Pearl nodded.
Valentina looked up at Ricardo…
