“One more step Charlotte and I’ll blow your head off”
Charlotte froze
“So you think it’s that easy to get rid of me like you did to most of the people that knew the secret of dark lifestyle?”
“Bella let’s settle this amicably”
Bella chuckled
“Of course we’ll settle it amicably when I kill you. I’ll just tell the police that I killed you out of self defense which is practically what’s happening now”
“Bella I’m sorry”
“You’re sorry? So you can apologize? I’m not accepting any of your apologies now drop the knife”
Charlotte dropped it reluctantly
“I won’t kill you cause I’m nothing like you. Now turn and get out of my house”
“But Bella…”
“Out”She yelled
Charlotte turned and left while Bella picked the knife from the floor and kept it. She had recorded the whole scenario on her CCTV camera and is planning on making a video.
In case,She succeeds in killing her later on,someone will be there to expose her.

CHARLOTTE’S HOUSE
Charlotte rushed into her house in anger. How did Bella outsmart her?
She took a bottle of alcohol and gulped down all the contents
“Give me my phone”She ordered the bodyguard standing beside her
Her phone was given to her and she dialed a number
When the call went through,she spoke into the phone
“Viper I need your services. Meet me in our usual meeting place” She hung up after saying that.
She won’t mind Bella for now,Her main focus now is Annabel

THE BAR
Charlotte was waiting for the guy she called. Few minutes later,he arrived and both sat down
“Who do you want to eliminate this time Charlotte?”Viper asked
“Here is her picture”She gave him Lisa’s photo
He looked at the photo
“What has this pretty little girl done to you? She’s too young”
“Her sister is the one I hate and killing her is another way of getting to her sister”Charlotte said
“Why can’t I just end the sister?”
“I want her to suffer emotionally. I want her to be traumatized before ending her miserable life”
“But…”
“Don’t argue with me Viper. I’ll double the pay so just do a clean job and leave no trace”
Viper sighed
“Okay we’ll do as you’ve said but we need to monitor her movements first”
“Okay but be snappy with it”
Viper nodded and left.

THE NEXT DAY
ADAMS FAMILY MANSION
His father had called him over for an Important discussion. Adams was surprised cause his father had never called him over like that before.
He packed his car and entered the house. After greeting his parents,he took a spot on the couch opposite his father.
“Adams”His father called
“Yes?”He answered
“I have something to say to you”
“Okay I’m listening”
“I want to say I’m sorry for insisting you marry Charlotte against your will”
Adams blinked
“Are you serious?”He asked
“Yes Adams. It was selfish of me to do so and I’m sincerely sorry”
Adams turned to his mum
“Mum is he serious?”
“Yes son. Your father has cancelled the betrothal of you and Charlotte”
“Wow thanks dad”Adams smiled
“And it will be my pleasure to see the lady that has won your heart”
“Really?”
“Yes”
“Okay Dad. I’ll discuss with her and get back to you”
“No problem”
Adams hugged his dad and Mr Henry felt like a huge load has been lifted off his shoulders. The love he never shared with his son has been re-ignited and he was happy
Adams hugged his mum before leaving
After he left
“That was a good thing you did there Henry”His wife said
“Yes Natasha and I’m happy that he finally found the person he loves”
“Yeah” She went and put her head on his shoulders as he patted her back.

ADAMS APARTMENT
Adams entered the house with joy,he saw Gideon and Richard discussing in the living room. When they saw him they stopped
“Adams you look happier than usual today. I guess the meeting you had with your dad was a success”Gideon said
“Yes guess what?”
“What”Both replied in unison
“Charlotte’s dad canceled my betrothal to Charlotte and my dad agreed to it. So he wants to meet Annabel”
“Wow that’s good news. Congrats”Richard said
“I’m so happy”Adams smiled
“Have you informed her?”Gideon asked
“No I haven’t but I will”
“Okay”
“Bro Adams,Look at what Aunt Annabel drew for me”Emily ran out of her room and gave Adams a sheet of paper
Adams collected it and his mouth dropped open. It was the exact replica of his house.
“Wow she’s talented”Gideon looked at the drawing
Richard looked at it too
“She’s a graduate of civil engineering so its not a surprise to me. If any building company sees this masterpiece,they’ll be the one begging her to work for them”Richard said
“She’s so talented. She’s my role model”Emily said smiling
Adams thought
“Speaking of work,I think she should come back to the office now”Adams said
“That’ll be great”Emily said and ran upstairs
“I just love that girl”Gideon said
“Very smart and energetic”Richard added
Adams picked up his car keys
“See you guys later. Let me go and see her”
“Okay lover boy”Gideon teased
“Very funny”Adams rolled his eyes and left

MR WILLIAMS HOUSE
Adams knocked on the door and Annabel opened it. She was surprised you see him
“Good evening wifey”He teased
“Seriously?”She rolled her eyes
“Can’t you even welcome me with a hug?”Adams asked
“No”She replied and her father spoke from inside
“Annie welcome your boyfriend with a hug and bring him inside here cause I want to see him”
Annabel blushed and hugged him before he came inside
When Adams came in,Mr Williams eyes widened in shock. When Annabel told him,he thought she was joking. Wow his daughters are dating high class men
“Adams this is Mr John Williams my dad and dad this is Adams Henry,my boyfriend”She introduced them to each other
“Good evening sir”Adams said as they shook hands
“How are you doing?”Her father asked when he finally found his voice
“I’m fine sir”
“Sit down and make yourself comfortable. I’ll excuse the two of you”He stood and entered his room as Adams sat down
“So what do I offer you?”Annabel asked
“A kss”He replied
“You’re very naughty”
“I can’t help it”
“No ksses for you today,I’m giving you water”
Adams pouted
She pecked his cheek
“That’s all you’ll get this evening”She went to the kitchen and brought out water for him
He drank the water
“Annabel my parents wants to see you”He said
She gasped
“They want to see me?”
“Yeah”
“Um mm…I’m nervous”
“Don’t worry. They already like you and I know you’re gonna love my mum”
“Okay. So when are we seeing them?”
“Is tomorrow night okay with you?”
She nodded
“Okay. I was also thinking if you’ll resume work tomorrow”
Immediately Adams said that,she stiffened
“What’s wrong?”Adams noticed a change in her mood
Annabel was contemplating on whether to tell him or not
“Annie you’re scaring me. What’s it?”
She decided to tell him
“Adams I have something to tell you”
“Okay I’m all ears”
She sighed and narrated everything to him. All of Charlotte’s threats. She told him everything including how she found out Hailey was working for Charlotte.
Adams was angry but he controlled it
“I understand babe. You should have told me long ago and I would have done something about it. Don’t worry,I’ll hire secret bodyguards for your dad and Lisa okay?”
She nodded and hugged him
He made a phone call and ordered his most experienced bodyguards to watch over Lisa cause she was coming home from a photo shoot that evening.

Lisa dropped off at the second street to her house and waited for a cab but saw none.
She saw that it was already dark and decided to walk. She got to and alley and it was dark so she brought out her phone and switched on the torch.
When she looked up,she saw two hefty men in front of her.
She turned to leave but others were at her back and soon she was surrounded with no means of escape.
She tried to scream but they were quick and tied her mouth with an handkerchief. She struggled but they were stronger than her and she became unconscious as a result of the drug in the handkerchief.
One of then put her on his shoulder and started taking her away…
