Episode 47
Pascal was getting ready to send his daughter to bed later that night when he heard a rough knock on his door.
He knew the person he had be expecting was there, so he quickly put his child in her room, gave her , her favourite toy to keep her busy before stepping out to “speak” with the person at the door.
The television in her room was showing her favourite Dave And Eva series, so he was sure she wasn’t going to miss him.
Earlier that evening, he had intentionally left one of Daisy’s dress at his doorstep. He wanted Jeremy to find what he’d been looking for at his doorstep, and see what he was going to do about it.
“How may I help you Mr…” Pascal was still saying when Jeremy gave him a pvnch that sent him staggering into the sitting room. And he entered, shutting the door with a violent ki¢k he gave the door.
“What’s going on young man?” Pascal asked pitifully as he fell on the couch, staying back there a little longer than he should have, and Jeremy pounced on him again.
Pascal was getting h!t badly and all he did was raise his hands to shield his face. “I’m sure you’re mistaken by whatever is making you this angry.
I haven’t done anything to deserve this as.såult. Please calm down so we can talk about it” he begged again, looking indeed pitiful.
Jeremy was getting angrier as he spoke, and he attacked him the more. “Why are you being so unfair to a poor man who has lost his wife? You have a loving wife by your side, and I’m stuck here with just my child, and no one to take care of my needs.
Didn’t your mother teach you not to pick up fights unnecessarily?”” Pascal asked him, stressing the words “wife” and “mother”, getting him exactly where he wanted.
Jeremy lost it. He knew his wife was inside the house, but he needed to teach Pascal a lesson before going to get Vivian. He was going to make Pascal regret knowing how to pronounce the word mother
“You dare mention my wife? You dare taunt me when my wife is in your house? I promised her something when I saw her the other day looking at a man morosely on her phone, what I’d do to her the day she messes with me” Jeremy told Pascal angrily.
“That’s why I said you’re mistaken. Your wife isn’t in my house” Pascal told him, shaking so much to show how afraid he was. He kept making a mental note to get a proucer.allow.him make a debut.in the film industry. He could tell that he had a very good acting skill
“Don’t shiver yet Mr. Pascal. Those times you dared to come between me and my wife, those times you came to take her off my hands when I wasn’t done meting the punishment I purposed for her, I warned you.
I told you to let me be. If I decide to beat her to deãth, I don’t see how that concerns you, but because you don’t know how dangerous I am, because you don’t know how many have died by this knife, you chose to meddle with my affairs.
You chose to come rescue a woman her family couldn’t save from my wrath, because you think you’re a hero” Jeremy scoffed, pulling out a pocket knlfe.
Pascal smiled happily. He didn’t know it was going to be so easy to get Jeremy where he wanted.
The agency would certainly not want him to lie low to the point of getting kllêd. He wasn’t permitted to make anyone know who he was, even in the face of an attack, his covert identity prohibited him from showing off his fighting skills, at least until the mission was over, but he was allowed to defend himself when the attack was life threatening.
“Put that knife down now Jeremy” Pascal told him calmly, getting up from the couch he’d been sitting a few seconds before, and walking away from Jeremy’s sides. He walked to the opposite couch and sat there, with his legs crossed.
Jeremy was taken aback by the boldness he saw in Pascal in a twinkle of an eye. He couldn’t believe the Pascal who was lying so frightened a while ago, suddenly developed boldness when he pulled a knife. Was the kniffe not supposed to make him so afraid of him?
“Is he okay? How could he have been so scared and of my fists and now so fearless at the instance of my knife?” he thought in great surprise.
“Oh I see! You’re trying to remain courageous in the face of death, you want to act nonchalantly, because you already know I’m going to kill you anyways! That’s okay, but first, you’re going to take you to the room where you’ve kept my wife. And make her watch while I slaughter you, that way, she’d be able to know how I’d kill her” Jeremy boasted.
“Im going to ask you calm for the last time to drop that toy you’re holding. Didn’t your mother tell you not.to play with sharp.objects?” Pascal asked Jeremy again. He was already sipping from a glass of hot that lay by the side of the couch he was sitting.
He allowed the words settle in, and as soon as the words hit the right places, Jeremy jumped on Pascal with so much forcefulness that Pascal hadn’t anticipated
