CHAPTER 53
Ruby went through the back door in search for Eli. She ran around in the lobby looking for Eli.
Eli grabbed her by her hand into an office and gave her a tight hug.
“You’re skinny. Have you not been eating well? My mum is actually the best cook so how’s it possible that you can skip meals” Eli complained still in Ruby’s embrace.
Tears of joy roll down Ruby’s cheeks.
“Does this mean you want to make up for old times?” Ruby asked with a smile and Eli broke the hug.
“Have you been thinking about me?” Eli asked slowly.
“Not at all, remember you told me to be happy and thinking about you only makes me sad” Ruby said slowly.
“What do you mean Ruby? Why are you sounding so cold? We haven’t seen each other for the past three years and you’re sounding this way towards me”
“That’s because you lied to all of us. You said two years and you ended up spending three years over there” Ruby said looking away.
“Is that why you’re upset with me?” Eli asked.
“Eli, I have a boyfriend now” Ruby announced and Eli moved backwards in shock.
“I’m happy for you, good for you Ruby. Congratulations, anyways I thought about you a lot when I was at the States” Eli managed to utter then he walked away.
Eli got into the elevator then head to Jemma’s office.
“Eli!” Jemma called out excitedly as he got into her office.
“Mum” Eli called out and gave Jemma a tight hug.
“I missed you so much son” Jemma said excitedly.
“Mum, you’re not upset I arrived late?” Eli asked slowly and Jemma broke the hug.
“Of course not, sweetie. I’m glad you’re back for good. I can’t be any happier.
Thank you for coming back to me” Jemma said with a smile and she pecked him on his cheeks and forehead.
“Come on Mum, you’re acting like I went missing for so many years” Eli said with a half smile.
“You silly boy, why did you have to make your arrival so confidential. You made everyone so damn curious.
You have no idea how curious you made Ruby” Jemma said after giving Eli a light punch on his stomach.
“Really mum?” Eli asked staring at her.
“Of course”
“Mum, I heard Ruby got herself a boyfriend is that true?” Eli gossiped.
“I think you heard wrong. Ruby haven’t been in any relationship for the past three years now.
She’s not interested in one but why are you asking? You’re just arriving and you’re gossiping already.
You’ve learned one bad trait from your grandpa” Jemma rolled her eyes and Eli hugged her playfully.
“Of course not Mum, you know so well I’m not interested in gossips”
Why did Ruby lie? Isn’t she happy to see me? Eli questioned in his head sadly.

I hope my words didn’t actually push Eli away right? Cindy should pray her plan works else she’s a dead meat.
~~ “Ruby, if Eli is really coming back to Seoul just like your instincts tells you.
You shouldn’t go easy on him, he has been away for three years. You have no idea what kind life he lived in the states.
He might come rushing back to you just so he will play with your feelings, you should be sure he still has feelings for you” Cindy said to Ruby~~
