Ruby stood up and left for the balcony.
“Excuse me” Eli said and followed her.
“Am I the only one sensing anything here?” Fanny gossiped and Rowan hit her lightly on her hand.
“They’re all adults. They handle their business themselves”
Eli followed Ruby and stood behind her.
“Why are you sad?” Eli asked slowly and Ruby turned to him.
“What do you mean? Of course I’m not sad. I’m very happy right now” Ruby said with a smile.
“Did you have a fight with your boyfriend? Why bother entering a relationship with him when he’s a scumbag” Eli cursed as he sat on the rocking chair next to him.
“He’s not a scumbag” Ruby frowned.
“Why are you defending what doesn’t exist” Eli said calmly and Ruby looked at him in shock.
“What do you mean?” Ruby asked curiously.
“You don’t have a boyfriend do you?” Eli asked.
Ruby looked away quickly.
Oh my goodness, did I just get busted or he’s trying to fish out the truth? Ruby questioned in her head.
“Of course I have a boyfriend. Why do you think I will lie about that” Ruby lied
“Show me a picture” Eli cut in and Ruby started going through her phone but couldn’t find any photo but she nervously showed Eli a photo of her and her pet dog.
Eli smirked and stood up, he went closer to her.
“Would you still keep up with that lie if I were to tell you I’m leaving for the states for good?” Eli asked looking straight into her eyes as he leaned forward, Ruby felt his breath on her face.
Ruby’s eyes got teary as Eli’s words got to her than she expected.
She brought Eli’s face closer to hers with her eyes shut close.
Eli smiled widely on seeing that and bite his lower lips seductively making it even softer.

“Bro!” Josie called out and Ruby pushed Eli away from her.
“I have a boyfriend but I don’t think it’s right for you to leave again. It will make your family sad, they’ve waited so long to have you back” Ruby said looking away.
“What do you think? Do you want me to stay as well?” Eli asked slowly and Ruby cleared her throat.
“Bro!” Josie called again and Eli frowned at it.
Josie stop acting like my enemy. Eli groaned in his head.
Ruby was about walking away but Eli stopped her with his question.
“Ruby you didn’t answer me yet?”
“I also want you to stay, I almost lost a friend but I’m glad you’re back” Ruby said then left the balcony.
