Eli smirked as he watch Ruby leave.
Should I play along since you’re playing hard to get? I guess I deserve it, I broke your heart in the first place. Eli said in his head then head to the sitting room as well.
“Bro, I kept calling you and you ignored me” Josie complained.
“I couldn’t hear you loudly so I thought you wouldn’t hear me as well if I respond. Anyways, what’s it?” Eli asked after sitting down.
“Bro, did you get yourself a girlfriend” Josie and Linda teased showing Eli the photos he took with a white lady in his phone.
“Josie give me that, you’re supposed to go through my stuff and she’s not my girlfriend” Eli said trying to get a hold of his phone but Josie ran away.
“I don’t think that’s the guess bro. Have a good look at this posture, it seems like the both of you were about to do something naughty” Linda cut in and Josie laughed.
“The both of you get here” Eli said and ran after them.
“It’s been years already but nothing changed” Fanny said with a smile as they watched them.
He acted all innocent, I can’t believe he has a girlfriend over there.
What’s with all his act if he really does have a girlfriend? I guess everything Cindy said to me is beginning to make some sense now.
Was he really planning on toying with my feelings like some bad boy? Ruby said in her head angrily and she dipped her fork into the chocolate cake in front of her angrily.
She had a big bite of the cake angrily which dragged Rowan and Fanny’s attention.
“Ruby, I think you should go slowly on the cake. You might choke on it” Fanny uttered and Ruby fakes a smile.
“It’s actually my favorite cake” Ruby uttered with food in her mouth, making look even more gross.
“I used to like chocolate cake but I think I’m having a change of heart.
Now I feel sorry for the cake not Ruby” Fanny whispered and Rowan chuckled.
I can’t believe I almost fell for it. I’m such a fool to fall for something so easily, it wasn’t even easy for him to get to me.
Ruby groaned in her head angrily as she chewed on the large amount of cake in her mouth vigorously.
“What’s this? You’re eating like you’ve been starving for days” Eli teased as he walked to Ruby and wiped her lips with a tissue.
Ruby got lost in Eli’s eyes as he wiped her lips.
“What are you looking at give me your hands” Eli instructed and Ruby put herself together.
“I can do it myself” Ruby said rudely as she snatched the tissues in Eli’s hands.
“Okay” Eli said slowly as he noticed the change in Ruby’s voice.
Jemma and Weston came back to the sitting room.
“Our latest couples are finally out. I was thinking brother in law will be coming out with a cast on” Fanny said and everyone laughed.
“Josie I heard you running about, why was that? I remember telling you to stop running about. What if you hurt yourself in the process” Jemma whined.
“Relax mum, I’m a big girl now I can take care of myself. You worry too much.
Mum, bro’s girlfriend is so beautiful” Josie announced and Jemma fakes a smile as she had a glance at Ruby.
“What girlfriend?” Jemma asked curiously.
“Don’t listen to her mum, she’s only spewing nonsense” Eli cut in.
“Here’s a photo of her mum, she’s a white” Josie informed giving her phone to Jemma.
“How did you get that photo?” Eli asked seriously.
“I sent it myself” Josie said playfully and Eli rolled his eyes at her.
“She’s pretty but she’s not Eli’s type, she doesn’t look like the type of girl Eli will go out with” Jemma protested and Ruby looked at her in surprise.
“Exactly, even mum knows she’s not my type. I told you, you were spewing nonsense.
That aside, mum how’s your wedding preparations going to be like?” Eli asked with a smile.
Is he saying the truth or it’s all pretence? Ruby questioned in her head.
“It will be a simple wedding, guests will be relatives only. It’s not like this is our first weddings so it’s better we keep it simple” Jemma said with a half smile.
“But this is my first wedding with you Jemma. Our first weddings matters but our wedding together feels even more special to me and I love the idea of relatives only” Weston said with a wide smile.
“Brother in law is such a romantic guy” Fanny complimented and Rowan hit her lightly as he felt a bit jealous about her compliment.
“But of course, honey you’re more romantic” Fanny said softly and Rowan smiled widely.
