Jemma signaled him to sit down with a curious look on her face.
“Jemma and I have made up our mind on something” Weston said with a smile.
Jemma fakes a smile staring at everyone at the table.
“Jemma and I will be getting married next month after the Mega ranking fashion week” Weston announced and everyone clapped in excitement.
Ruby felt happy but at the same time sad as she looked at Eli but he didn’t look affected.
Does this mean Eli has really moved on? He doesn’t look affected by dad’s announcement. Ruby uttered in her head.
“Congratulations mum” Josie said with a smile.
“Thank you sweetie”
“Congratulations to the both of you. I’m glad you finally made up your mind on the future” Eli said smiling.
“Congratulations Weston” Fanny and Rowan said in unison.
“Congratulations to aunt” Linda said.
“Thank you for your wishes. Weston can I have a minute with you” Jemma said as she stood up.
She grabbed Weston’s hand and left the table.
“Now he’s in trouble. He didn’t win the bet” Fanny said as they watched Weston and Jemma walk to her room.
“What bet? What’s going on actually Jemma doesn’t look that excited about the wedding announcement” Rowan uttered.
“It’s obvious she’s playing hard to get. I also acted this way when you proposed to me” Fanny said and they both laughed.

“Weston, we haven’t concluded on that decision yet and we’re not even sure if GG diamonds will be among the top two mega awards.
What if I get disappointed at the last minute” Jemma complained and Weston placed his hands on her shoulders.
“It’s been years already, I can’t believe you still don’t believe in yourself. Jemma you need to grow some confidence in yourself.
You’re more than worthy of being among the top two. When you’re making a life long decision with me, I think you should consider my feelings as well.
We’ve waited this long and I don’t wish to waste anymore time” Weston said softly.
“What about Eli and Ruby? For how long should I play ignorant?” Jemma asked worriedly.
“We can’t make a decision for them. Let’s allow them make a decision for themselves.
Our wedding got nothing to do with their feelings.
I believe Eli will fight for what he feels and I’m not going to allow either of us, give up on what we feel” Weston assured.
“Eli couldn’t even share his true feelings with me. Does that mean I’ve been a bad mother all along. I really wished he told me about it” Jemma said calmly.
“He was only trying to make you happy, don’t think about it too much”
