CHAPTER 54

~~ THE CHEN’S BUILDING**

Eli and Jemma came back home together.
Eli opened the door and got in first and he smiled widely as he saw the whole sitting room decorated with flowers and balloons with a bold written words on the wall

‘WELCOME BACK HOME ELI’

“Josie” Eli called out excitedly and she ran out of the kitchen with a cake in her hand.

“Welcome back home bro” Josie screamed joyfully.

“I missed you so much Josie” Eli pouted and she dropped the cake on the table quickly then she jumped on Eli, giving him a tight hug.

“I missed you even more bro” Josie said almost in the tears.

Linda, Fanny and Rowan joined them at the sitting room.

“Welcome back bro” Linda screamed as she joined the hug.

“You’re all grown up Linda. You’re taller than Josie now” Eli teased and Linda smiled widely.

“See, I told you” Linda said laughing at Josie.

“Can you girls let him go now, we needs to attend to us as well” Fanny cut in and Eli smiled as they sluggishly broke the hug.

“Welcome back Eli, how was your trip? You couldn’t even take a rest after your trip. Sis always put business first” Fanny said as she rolled her eyes at Jemma.

“What do you mean? I also had no idea, he was coming today. I was informed at the last minute” Jemma said.

“Eli, you look a lot goodlooking than you were when you were here with us.

Father really did look after you just like he said” Rowan said and Eli smile.

“I will say that about you uncle. You look younger than your age, Aunt must have seen this coming that’s why she grabbed you tight with her hands” Eli uttered and Rowan laughed.

“Finally, someone in the family is admitting it. I’m glad you’re back Eli, we missed you a lot. I’m sorry we couldn’t make it to your graduation last year” Rowan said softly.

“It’s fine uncle. Don’t feel that bad, it’s not like my mum or little sis made it either but all thanks to grandpa I didn’t feel bad” Eli said and Jemma walked to him and gave him a light hug.

“I’m sorry Eli, I really wanted to come but I had to leave for Australia for a business trip and Josie was having her exams then. We were in a tight spot as well”Jemma explained slowly.

“It’s fine Mum. We can always attend one together. Josie hasn’t graduated yet, we will make up for old times”

“How are we supposed to make up for that? Your graduation is different, same with Josie’s” Jemma said getting pissed about her actions.

“Sis, don’t you think it’s too late to cry about a spilled milk. You’re only making the boy emotional, that’s not what today’s call is for so put your act together and let’s have dinner” Fanny said seriously.

“You’re right about that Aunt” Eli concurred with a smile and the door bell rang.

“I will get it” Josie cut in and ran to the door.

She opened it and it was Weston and Ruby with smiling faces on.

“Good evening Mr Weston. Ruby!” Josie called out excitedly then held Ruby’s hand.

“How are you Josie?” Weston asked as they went in.

“It almost skipped my mind. How can we have dinner without the both of them” Fanny cut in and Jemma smiled widely on seeing them.
