Mukasa came out from his room later and saw Regina alone sitting down,
“Where is your mother? He asked.
“She has gone, she replied.
“And your sister? He asked.
“Mommy took her, but daddy why is mommy always angry with me? Who is my mother? She asked but Mukasa only looked at her and angrily left the house……….

Pius arrived and Cynthia quickly hugged him while he was surprised to see her daughter who was sleeping,
“You brought your daughter along? He asked.
“Yes I didn’t want to leave her after what he did to me, he may hurt my daughter also, she replied.
“Its alright, but what exactly happened? He asked.
“Nothing, he just got mad and started beating me just like that as if I’m the cause of all his misfortune, she replied.
“What are going to do? He asked.
“I am not going back there again, I don’t want him anymore, she replied.
“But you have a daughter with him and you can’t possibly separate her from him, that’s wrong. You need to go back, for the sake of your daughter, he said and Cynthia looked at him sadly and sat down.
“What’s wrong? He asked her but she was only fiddling her hands.
“Ermmm there’s something you need to know, she said.
“What is it? He asked.
“I’m sorry for keeping this from you, but the truth is, she isn’t Mukasa blood, she replied and he went backward looking at her.
“You were flirting with another man? He asked.
“No, I was pregnant though I wasn’t aware before we reconciled. I didn’t want to tell him afraid he’ll be hurt, so he thought it was his own and we quickly got set to marry, she replied.
“Who is the father? He asked and she looked at her daughter.
“Answer me! He shouted.
“You, you’re the father please forgive me, she quickly said and Pius cleaned his lips.
“For 5 years you kept this secret from me, what were you thinking? He asked.
“I….I….”you what! I had every right to know after all you were cheating on your husband with me what then were you hiding? What excuse do you have to give! He shouted.
“My friend! What will she do when she finds out about her? I didn’t want to hurt her, she replied.
“I would have handled it same way I’m doing with my affairs with you, he said.
“Your wife is already suspecting you and you have to be careful. Besides I didn’t want a situation where my daughter will be hiding to have a father or be in a state of dilemma, she said and he looked at Catherine.
“So now you’ve told me about this, what do you think I am going to do? He asked.
“I don’t know, but I want him anymore, though I know i have no place with you too, I’m just floating, she said and he sat down beside her.
“Don’t say that, I’ll get an apartment for you where you’ll stay with my daughter, he said.
“For how long? She asked and Catherine woke up.
“Welcome uncle, she said and Pius carried her.
“How are you? He asked.
“I’m fine, she replied and Pius looked at Cynthia and she heaved and got her from him.
“Kate, he isn’t your uncle okay, she said.
“Mommy why? Kate asked.
“He’s your father, she replied.
“My father? But what about daddy? Kate asked.
“Daddy is a big mistake, don’t you like him to be your father? He will take care of you, Cynthia said and Pius sighed.
“Come here Kate, he said and she went to him.
“It will be difficult for you to understand anything now and I won’t force it on you, soon you will understand. You and your mom will stay here for some few days till I get a comfortable place for you okay, he said and she nodded.
“That’s my baby, have you eaten? Pius asked……….

Mukasa returned in the evening and Cynthia was not still back, he saw Regina cuddled on the sofa and it was clear she cried before she slept off.
He tapped her slowly and she woke up,
“Welcome daddy, she greeted.
“Is mom not back yet? He asked and she shook her head.
“You’re hungry? He asked and she nodded.
“I only ate in the morning, she replied.
“Since morning? Is there no food in the house? He asked.
“No, mommy finished it with Catherine, she replied.
“Wait I’ll go get you bread okay, I don’t have money on me now, he said and left the house again.
He retuned and gave her a loaf of bread,
“Eat this and drink a glass of water, tomorrow I’ll get you something better to eat, he said.
“Thank you daddy, Regina said and went to her room and he called Cynthia number but she ignored and switched off the phone.
He called up Achen and she picked up,
“Hi Mukasa, she said.
“Hi, sorry have Yuh heard from your friend? He asked.
“Yea I did today, why? She asked.
“I haven’t seen her till now and her number is switched off, she left with my daughter, he replied.
“You two had a fight again? She asked.
“That’s our business, in case you get to reach her, tell her to bring back my daughter I don’t care about her, he said.
“Like you can take Care of her huh? She asked and Mukasa dropped the call.
Achen heaved and called her husband but his number was switched off, she sat down on the bed thinking hard and laid down beside her daughter to sleep……..

The next morning Pius went back home to Achen and pecked her but she ignored him. He went to his daughter room and found her playing,
“Hello baby, how was your rest? He asked.
“Fine daddy, mommy was calling you all through the night but you didn’t pick, she replied.
“Oh she did? Don’t worry about that okay, he said giving her a peck and left the room.
“Princess said you were calling last night, is that why you refused talking to me? He asked and Achen looked at him.
“So how was the business trip? Stressful was it? Achen asked and he shook his head taking off his clothes.
“You need to see the way you look when you look so unsecured, if you want me to have another woman so be it! He said.
“You think I’m unsecured, my pity to whoever she is because I won’t let this go that easily, she said and left the room while Pius looked at her quite scared.
He called Cynthia up explaining things to her,
“I’ll send you some money that will keep you up to a week there, I really need to calm Achen down for a while, it will be too risky if I make an attempt to see you, he said.
“I understand, be careful alright, she said.
“I will and you too, okay bye, he said and dropped the call………

3 days later Christy and her friend left for the capital and her friend took her to the aunt place.
“Good afternoon aunty, her friend greeted.
“Good evening ma, Christy added.
“You’re welcome, she’s the girl right? The woman asked.
“Yes aunty, she replied.
“Okay you will rest for today, tomorrow I’ll take you girls to see him for the job, she said.
“Thank you ma, Christy said.
“You’re welcome, I’ll show you to your room, she said and they followed her behind.
“Your aunty is a nice woman, Christy said to her friend after taking their dinner and settled down to sleep.
“Yes she is, her friend replied.
“So this job, are we going to get it? Christy asked.
“Its a quick job and we will get it fast, you don’t have to worry, she replied and Christy didn’t understand.
“You sound so sure, Christy said.
“Yea lets sleep please, tomorrow is a busy day, her friend said backing her smiling to herself.
“Goodnight then, but don’t snore too loud, Christy said and laid down too.
That night her friend got up slowly from the bed when Christy was asleep to see her aunty in the sitting room.
“Is she good? Her aunty asked.
“I think so, but then the money is what matters,she replied.
“I don’t need any girl that will bring me trouble or expose me in this, she really need to comply in this because not every girl accepts this kind of job, her aunt said.
“Does she has a choice? Her friend asked.
Unknown to them Christiana followed her friend out when she noticed she sneaked out and she heard their plan.
“What! She said in her heart and tiptoed back to the room………
