Dembe was rushed to the hospital and was attended to,
“What happened to her? A nurse asked stopping them from entering the room.
“Uhmmm it was an accident, but will she be alright? Ochen replied.
“She’ll be fine, the nurse replied and went in and Ochen looked at Bale who was quiet facing down.
“So are you happy now? Seriously you wanted hitting me with that huh? He asked.
“Well you got lucky, Bale replied and Ochen scoffed.
“You really think I would have let you go with that? A 9 inches block would have been used on your head idiot, and just wait you will pay for what you’ve done to mom! Ochen shouted on him.
“Whatever you say, she got in for her favorite son, Bale said.
“Then go meet your useless father, i can see he has done a lot for you yet you are still stuck in mom place. If you feel mom is not good enough for you, then try compete with your father other children and lets see how he will treat you like his favorite son.
Shamelessly you’re just floating, yet you’re not appreciative, Ochen said facing him and Bale looked at him for a while and walked away from him.
Ochen heaved and sat down breathing hard as he waited anxiously for the doctor to tell him how his mother is, and a nurse came out from the room.
“Hello nurse, how is she now? He stopped her.
“The doctors are attending to her, please excuse me, The nurse replied and walked away………..

The next morning Jendyose went to Christiana room and met her still sleeping, she stood smiling at her and left to get breakfast prepared for them….
Kizza on the other hand woke up and went to the sitting room to find Cynthia watching the television.
“Good morning aunty, Cynthia greeted still concentrating on the TV.
“Morning, Kizza replied looking at her and heaved.
“Ermm can you help with the babies laundry today? Kizza asked and Cynthia looked at her.
“Laundry? Why? she replied.
“You are asking me why? Kizza asked back..
“Of course why? Because I don’t understand why you’re asking me to wash a……… “I heard you’re pregnant, so will you see this a problem if you give birth? Kizza cut her short.
“That’s right, how can that be a problem because I am doing it for my baby, Cynthia replied.
“So is she my baby? Kizza asked.
“That’s for you aunt and she is your responsibility not mine, please excuse me, Cynthia said and left her to her room.
Kizza angrily went home and called up Mukasa but he was still sleeping.
“Common pick up! She shouted and called again,
“Hello aunt, good……. “Safe the greetings, I just want to ask you a question, what kind of future do you have for your baby? Because if you ask me, I think she will be better with that poor homeless teenage girl who will love and treat her right, Kizza said.
“Aunt why are you saying this? Mukasa asked sitting up.
“Because Cynthia is showing the green light that your baby will never be loved or cared for, and I don’t think I can hold up with her nasty character anymore, I’m getting fed up! She shouted.
“Aunt please can you calm down, can I talk to her? He asked.
“Well she has a phone isn’t it? Have a good day! Kizza replied and dropped the call.
“Sht! She shouted and the baby gave a little cry.
She looked at her for a while and carried her,
“Sorry baby, I think I just have to swallow up this mess because of you but I pity you my dear. I hope Mukasa will protect you when I’m no longer there, she calmly said and sighed……….

Christiana woke up and felt a little headache, she touched her forehead and looked at the time,
“Its morning already, she said yawning and left the room to see her mom busy in the kitchen.
“Mom good morning, she greeted holding her from behind.
“Morning love, I’m glad you’re better today, she said touching her.
“Maybe, so can I help out? Christy asked.
“Since when did you start to cook? Common go take your rest, Jendy said and Christy laughed.
“Seriously mom? Aunty Dembe taught me how to cook, and I think you need to taste my food, Christy said and Jendy smiled.
“Nah I am not yet strong to purge okay, she said and Christy nodded taking her away from the kitchen.
“What are you doing? Jendy asked looking at Christy.
“Taking over the cooking, don’t worry i won’t take too long, Christy replied winking at her and went in.
“You never cease to amaze me Christiana, Jendy shouted.
“Enjoy it mom! Christy replied in the kitchen……….

Dembe woke up and saw her son sleeping with his head placed on her bed, she slowly touched his head and he woke up.
“Mom how are you feeling now? Wait let me call the doctor, he said and rushed out.
A doctor came in and checked on her,
“she’ll be fine, she just need rest and her wound to heal, the doctor said to Ochen.
“Thank you doctor, Ochen said and he left.
“Mom I’m sorry about yesterday, you shouldn’t have done that you know, he said holding her hand.
“Son where is your brother? She asked.
“Are you still asking about him even in your condition? He asked.
“Son he is your brother and he is my son, I hope you two didn’t fight again? She asked.
“I wish i had the chance to smash his face after what he did to you, Ochen replied and Dembe held her hand.
“Son no matter what happens he is my blood and I love him, i love you both, she said.
“Why can’t he see that? Despite all you’ve done for him he still think its not enough, he said and Bale slowly walked in.
“Talking of the devil, Ochen said with a smirk.
“Ochen stop that, Dembe said and Ochen left the room pushing him away from the road.
“Bale, Dembe calmly said and he slowly walked up to her.
“I’m sorry mom I didn’t mean this to happen, he said.
“Its okay, but Bale why are you doing this? Why are you seeing your family as your enemy? What you said to me yesterday, did you mean all of that?
Am I really a bad mother to you or have I ever placed or loved Ochen more than i did to you? Dembe asked.
“I’m sorry mom, i don’t know what i was thinking when i said all of that to you, maybe because I wasn’t given the opportunity to know who truly loves me between you and dad.
I was at Dad place yesterday night and i got to see the difference and i was wrong, please forgive me mom, Bale said and kneeling down.
“Its okay Bale you don’t have to do that, but please can you make up with your brother for my sake? She asked.
“He is so angry with me, i don’t know how to start mom, he said.
“He is your brother Bale, no matter how mad he is, you have to talk to him. Siblings do fight Bale, don’t let this turn to enmity, she said.
“Will he listen to me mom? He asked.
“Give it a try, that is the only to make me happy and that is the only way you can make up for what you did, and that can only make me happy now. So you have to do this Bale, she said and Bale nodded.
“I’ll do that right away then, I’m sorry once again mom, he said and slowly left to look for Ochen.
