The following morning…
Octavia had woken up to behold two eyes staring directly at her – two dark eyes. They were eyes she was familiar with, but that morning, something was different about them.
She adjusted lightly, registering the fact that she was still nked because she’d slept that way the previous night.
“Khalid…” She called lightly.
She couldn’t understand why he was just lying and staring at her.
“Good morning, Master”.
Khalid didn’t say a word but only continued with the stare and fpr a moment, Octavia cringed. Hold on; shouldn’t they be getting ready for the coronation already? It should be happening shortly.
“How’re you feeling?” He finally asked and for the first time since she met him, Octavia could detect some weakness in his tone.
“I’m…. I’m fine. And you, Master?” She replied, but Khalid only responded with a scoff.
“Um…We should be getting ready right? For the coronation?” She asked but still, there was no reply.
“K… Khalid?”
“You should freshen up” he finally said and with a little hesitance, Octavia stood up and left the bed, headed for the bathroom.

“You anImal!” Becca rasped tearfully as she $Iapped Moscow hard across the cheek.
“How dare you! How dare you betray me!”
Moscow touched the affected side of his cheek and scoffed. “hit me one more time Becca, and I’ll send you straight to he.ll….”
Even before he could finish up, Becca landed another $Iap on him.
“Oh! Shut the hell up, you pathetic lying bá$tard!” She yelled tearfully .
“I trusted you! I gave you a plan, but you fked me up and ruined it. How could you huh?? How could you?!’
“Just shut it, will you!” Moscow snarled at her. “Yeah, you trusted me. But that was a dangerous trust Becca because I also had my own plans. I’m really sorry, Okay? But I had to do it”
He turned around and tried walking away.
“A dangerous trust!” Becca scoffed. “You prolly need to face the consequences then”.
Immediately, she brought out a knlfe from her dress and drove it right into his back.
“Argh! Becca!’ he grunted painfully as his knees landed on the floor.

Done from the bathroom, Octavia returned to the room but the state at which she had found Khalid wasn’t something to keep calm about – not at all
He was lying upwards, his face looking pale and his hands not moving.
“Khalid” she called in fright and ran to him.
What the he.ll is going on?
His dark eyes went open immediately and as they did, a streamline of bIood could be seen running down his nose..
“Octavia….” He called hoarsely. It was more like he was actually struggling to speak.
Octavia’s shaky body found herself a seat right in front of the bed. Could it be his mother? But she had said he had the end of today right?
God! It’s not possible.
“There’s no more time, Octavia. It’s now” Octavia had to strain her ears to hear him clearly.
“M…Master?” She stuttered. “What’re you talking about?”
He exhaled weakly and held her hand.
“I’ve got something to say to you, Octavia” he continued in his hoarse tone.
“It’s something I’ve never said to anyone before; and something no one’s ever said to me. Not my father, not my mother, not even Becca”.
He paused and scoffed, then touched her fingers.
“I love you, Octavia” the words left his mouth.
“I know you might not feel the same towards me and I also never thought I could feel this way towards anyone, but you did it, Octavia. You cracked an ice in my heart and I don’t know when or how, but you did it”
“Oh my God…” Octavia bent her head and whimpered, tears flooding her cheeks terribly.
“I only wish I had more time to enjoy this…”
“Khalid please….” She quivered. “Please, I’m begging you, just stop”.
He let out another devastating sigh. “I’m sorry….if I hurt you”
“No. Please, please. I need you, please” she wept terribly.
“Your baby needs you, I can’t do this alone Khalid, please. I’m begging you”.
There was a little silence with just octavia’s whimpers filling the room.
“I wish there was something I could do” he muttered lightly. “My only regret is not attending the coronation party. I’m sorry…Miss Preggy”.
“No…” Octavia looked up at him and noticed his eyes had slided shut.
“Khalid! No, please! Khalid!” She shook him earnestly, but there was no response as he had gone completely pale.
“No!!! Please!! Please! Don’t do this, I can’t survive it. Please…”
She bent over and placed her head on his chest, sobs after sobs racking her throat.
“I’m sorry…. I’m sorry” she whimpered terribly.
Her heart was tearing apart; unbearable scars opening up right on them.
She felt her world crumbling, her world falling apart.
He was gone, her Khalid was gone, the first guy that ever skipped a beat in her heartbeat. The first guy that ever made her feel pain and pleasure. How could this happen?
And to think he was in love with her, Master Khalid had fallen for her – the powerful Master of the Khalid clan.
He fell for her and lost his life.
“Oh God…. I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry”. Her tears stained his chest.
She could recall the first day she met him, and the first day they got int.imate. She had fallen so hard for him even without noticing.
His eyes, his voice, his authority. Who wouldn’t fall for someone like that?
How on earth would she survive with such memory?
“Please, forgive me…” She whimpered ruefully.
Suddenly, a voice whispered into her ears; memories from months ago…on that very day:
“A real fighter takes risk, Becca.
“A real fighter doesn’t just sit and cry like there’s nothing to do”.
She lifted her head from his chest and looked into his face, tears almost blinding her sight.
Risks. The words echoed in her head.
Those had been Khalid’s words.
Risks .
She stood up immediately and ran to the kitchen, making clamouring sounds as she searched for the knlfe.
Her hands were shaking terribly, she panted heavily.
There was only one solution left, and it was one that involved so many risky. One that might not end up well. But the determination in her heart wouldn’t let her glance at the consequences as saving Khalid was her only priority at the moment.
She found the knlfe and stared fearfully at it in her hand.
At that moment, she had two targets:
Delaying the coronation and getting the solution for Khalid.
