Octavia opened her bleary eyes on the bed, her hands fisted, and her back ache.
“Hey” she heard a voice call and turned her head slowly to see Sapphire sitting close to her.
“You’re awake. How’re you feeling?”
Octavia arched her brows and tried recalling what had happened.
Sapphire…
She’d ¢ut her wrist open, but Octavia was able to save her. And afterwards, she felt so weak and passed out.
“Octavia, can you hear me?” Sapphire cooed and touched her arm and Octavia forced herself to sit up.
The memories of what had happened came flashing into her head
; how she’d acted so crazy, attacked Master Zack…
Goodness! Did she really do all that???
And Khalid? Was he awake already? How would she know?
Her hand went slowly to her tummy, caraasing the flat surface.
“I… didn’t bIeed, did I?” She looked at Sapphire and asked.
The cut on her arm had already been taken care of, but Sapphire knew that wasn’t what she was referring to.
“Your baby’s fine” she touched her arm and said and Octavia took in a deep breath.
“He really did hold on, didn’t he?” She muttered to herself, her hand still on her tummy.
Her baby held on like she’d requested. Normally, the stress she’d gone through was enough to cause a miscarriage, but her baby was different.
She sniffed and stared down at it.
“Thank you so much, Octavia” Sapphire drew her attention.
“I don’t even know how to start appreciating you for bringing life into my life.
“Being the kind of woman I was, I grew up with so much envy and hatred for Khalid and his father because I felt they both used me. I felt… Lucienne used me to give him a powerful son, and Khalid also never cared about me but also joined his father in puni$hing me. I harboured so much hatred for those two, Octavia. And when I discovered Lucienne was de.ad, I was so mad at myself. I was so mad at myself because I wasn’t the one that’d gotten to ki.ll him”
She paused and shook her head.
“I didn’t feel a single thing for Khalid as a mother and…When Zack had come here to offer me a deal in exchange for Khalid’s life, I’d gladly given it to him.
“He knew Khalid was a survivor – he’d cunningly escaped death countless times. So, Zack needed a sure way to get rid of him. And the only sure way he had at that moment was me.
“He promised me a fortune if I’d help get rid of Khalid. And since I had nothing but hate towards Khalid, I collected the deal without hesitation”.
A tear came scrolling down her cheek.
“I feel so terrible, Octavia” she winced.
“I… I don’t know if Khalid would ever forgive me. I feel so terrible. All those years,I can imagine how heartbroken he must’ve been knowing I hated him so much, whereas, he was the reason I’m alive. I hated him without thinking, hurt his feelings so many times. And today… I tried to ki.ll him. Tried to ki.ll my own son”
She paused and wept again.
“Anger tends to take the better side of us, Octavia. And I’ve gotten to learn that… you should never make a decision when you’re angry. And never hate a person without listening to their own side of the story.
“I feel like… I’m the most terrible person
On earth and don’t even deserve someone like Khalid as a son. I don’t know if he can ever forgive me, Octavia”.
She bent her head in accrimony and after a a few seconds, Octavia held her hand.
“It’s fine” she muttered. “You just need to have faith. Everything would be fine”.

“so, she just left?” Mica scoffed as she stood in the room with Draco.
“Yes. Pamela said she tried calming her down and asking why she was leaving, but all she said was *it wasn’t safe for her anymore* Draco replied.
“Could this be a coincidence?” Mica asked cogitatively.
“Moscow was found dead this morning, and Becca suddenly left?”
There was silence.
Draco sighed and moved closer to her.
“I think we’ve had enough talks about others, Mica” he stated calmly. “Why don’t we talk about us?”
Mica blinked hard. Huh?
She took some steps back with her eyes buried into his.
“Why were you avoiding me yesterday?” Draco asked and she gulped hard.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about, Draco. I… I wasn’t avoiding you” she stuttered, the tone of her voice belieing her expression.
She took another step backwards until her back hit the wall and she became stuck
Draco got very close to her, lifted his hand to the wall right above her head.
“Are you sure?” He whispered.
Mica felt her heart stop beating at that moment. Goodness! What was this guy doing to her??
“Of course, Draco. I was just…. tired yesterday” she answered and lowered her gaze to the floor.
“Then, prove it to me” Draco suddenly said and crashed his lips on hers.
A gasp escaped Mica’s lips, but they all went into Draco’s as he didn’t let their lips get seperated.
His hands left the wall and held her back instead, down to her bum and squeezed them lightly.
“Oh…” She gasped as she forcefully pulled her lips away and tried to catch her breath.
She panted heavily, and Draco lifted her jaws so she looks him in the face.
“Is there a problem?” He asked and in deep breaths, Mica shook her head and went for his lips herself.
They continued kssing

Khalid parked the car in front of the deserted area and stepped out of it.
The keys in his hand, he walked towards the house, his eyes going around and surveying the environment.
He continued the process until he’d gotten to the door and lifting his hand to knock on it, the door opened on its own, revealing Sapphire.
Her eyes dilated immediately, in shock as anxiety flooded in.
She let out a wild gasp.
“Khalid?” Her voice was faint.
Khalid gawped at her, not having any reaction on him.
“Where’s Octavia?” He finally asked, his voice sounding so dreadful for Sapphire.
Sapphire didn’t say a word but continued staring at him – in disbelief.
He came!
But the hate in his eyes…it was heartbreaking.
Khalid took a step closer to her, so he was standing very closely in front of her.
“If you’ve done anything to her, I swear on your name, I’ll….”
“Khalid” he suddenly heard that timid voice call and for the first time in a very long time, he felt his heart skip
He lifted his eyes immediately and found her standing right in the room, behind Sapphire.
Sapphire stepped away immediately, giving the two fellows some space because she figured they didn’t want any interruption at that moment.
“Khalid…” She called again, her eyes glistening with tears.

Khalid scoffed as he watched her and immediately, she laughed and ran into his arms, jumping tight on him.
“Hey! My little wtch” He chuckled as he carried her off her feet…
