Episode 23
“A lion attacking my family? Is that even possible?” Kingsley kept questioning while at work that morning.
He was so deep in thoughts that he didn’t even notice Daniel walk past him or hear him greet.
“Kingsley.” Daniel called out for the umpteenth time as as K jerked out of his thoughts
“Oh Daniel. Sorry I didn’t see you there.”
“Sure, obviously you were deep in thoughts. What’s the problem?” He asked as K sighed.
“I really don’t know if you’d think I’m crazy but I had a dream I don’t quite understand.”
“Oh a dream? Did you pray about it?”
“Of course I did, but I have this feeling that it’s a direction to what’s happening but I’m yet to grasp the message.”
“Hmmmm…..can you tell me what it is? I mean the dream.”
“Ehmmm…..sure! On the condition that you’d promise not to look crazily at me or even laugh.” K said as Daniel chuckled.
“Lol…..is it a funny dream or what? Okay I promise. No matter how funny or weird it is, I won’t make a facial reaction.” He said as K heaved a sigh.
“I had a dream where my family was at tight corners with a lion ready to devour them. The only thing that stopped it from having a piece of them was a weak bar that stood between them.”
“Hmmmm……”
“I don’t even have the slightest idea to what it means honestly. How can a lion threaten eat my family up when it’s not cartoon? Is there really a spiritual lion at all?” K asked
“The Lion of the tribe of Judah.” Daniel said out of the blues.
“Sorry, I didn’t get you there. What did you just say?”
“The Lion of the Tribe of Judah.”
“What do you mean? How can God want to devour…..wait, explain what you mean first.”
“Thank you. Now you asked if there’s any spiritual of any sort, right? Our God is the Lion of the tribe of Judah yet we don’t see Him here physically……”
“Hmmm……that description is spiritual.”
“Exactly. And you know the devil is a master at faking and copying the things of God. If there’s a Lion of the tribe of Judah, there certainly is a lion that is of the dev’l.”
“Like a satanic lion?”
“Exactly.”
“Hmmm……so the dream isn’t crazy after all.”
“At all. All God is trying to communicate to you through that dream is there’s a lion in the spirit realm that’s set to devour your family and He’s ready to fight for them but the protection around your family is weak. In the physical world, it could end up to be a disastrous event.”
“Hmmm…..so how can I pray rightly about this?”
“If it’s a lion that was shown in your dream, you use a stronger lion to fight and devour it.”
“The best weapon for this battle is the Lion of the tribe of Judah.”
“Exactly. Christainity is so interesting mehn, it’s just that some are so ignorant of their own weapons. ” Daniel said as he walked out, leaving Kingsley to his thoughts.
CHEATED : EPISODE 21 – 40
The same evening
“Guy something has been bothering me for a few days now.” Emma said as he sat beside his friend in bed.
“Ehe I said it! I knew something was bothering you when I saw you still up as early as 4am.” K said as Emma gave a side smirk.
“I’ve been thinking about my mom lately, and from the things I’ve learnt with you; I feel her sickness is way past a natural cause.”
“Okay?” K said with a raised brow.
“So I want to ask……I know there’s something we can do about it but, what should I know?” He asked as K heaved a sigh.
“You’ve asked me to ask God this morning, so how…..”
“That’s true, has He replied you?” He asked sharply as K stared at him.
“My guy relaxxxxxx…..I haven’t even prayed about it.”
“Hmmm…..but I really need answers.”
“You will get them, just be patient. God is a patient God, and you need that to have a successful walk with Him.”
“Hmmm…..okay but is there something you know that I need to know too? I mean in relation with my mom.”
“Hmmm…..well, just a little.”
“Tell me them! I’m listening.” He responded with a sharp tone.
“You’d have to chill o, I’m trying to read a book as you can see. Let’s make this discussion at night, shall we?”
“Haba, no na! I’d be sleepy by then and we’d have to pray so there’d be no time for explanations.”
“Okay fine.” K said as he dropped the book in his hand and turned to face his friend.
“If you ask me, we’d start this talk with a Bible reference; I feel you’d understand and believe better that way.”
“Sure okay.”
“Good. Our Bible reference is Ezekiel 13”
“The whole of it?”
“No, start from verse 17 through to the end.” He said as Emma picked up his Bible close-by and read out loud.
“Likewise thou son of man, set thy face against the daughters of thy people, which prophesy out of their own heart; and prophesy thou against them.
And say, thus saith the Lord God, woe to the women that sew pillows to the armholes, and make kerchiefs upon the head of every stature to hunt souls! Will ye hunt the souls of my people, and will be save the souls alive that come to you?
And will be pollute me among my people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, to slay the souls that shouldn’t die and save the souls that should not live, by your lying to my people that you hear your lies?……..” Emma read. As soon as he was done, he wore a confused countenance.
“I don’t understand a thing I read.”
“Relax, you will. Open to chapter 27 of the same book, verse 13b.”
“Okay.” He said as he searched and located the verse.
“They traded the persons of men and vessels of brass in thy market.” Emma read.
“Good. Now try comparing the two and see how they link up with each other.”
“Ehmm okay. Souls can be hunted and slain? Then the second passage says the persons of men…..that is the souls of men could be sold, right? Please explain because I don’t understand.
Even my physics teacher didn’t get me this confused.” Emma said.
“Okay.” K said in chuckles.
“The first thing to note from the two scriptures we’ve read is that souls, that is, the soul of man can be hunted, sold, ki.lled or kept alive.”
“True, I got that.”
“Good. The second to note is that it was God who prophesied against this, through Ezekiel. When you slowly read it well, you realize that God said His own people were victims of this perpetuated ev’l; making His people (the righteous) sad and strengthening their enemies (the wicked), by promising him life. ”
“Hmmm….”
“The third to note is how they hunted souls- they used points of contacts.”
“Make kerchiefs upon the head of every stature to hunt souls.” Emma said, reading from His Bible.
“Exactly. Now verse 19 said they slayed souls that shouldn’t die and saved souls that shouldn’t live. In summary, they gave in souls for their ‘customers’, so instead of the wicked (their patronizers) to die, the righteous are taken in their stead.”
“Hmmm…..okay I have a question at this point. You said the souls of the righteous were ki.lled in the stead of the wicked, right? How come God don’t fight on their behalf?”
“You know the chapter 2:3 of this book made us understand that Isreal was already in sin, and that’s how all these ev’ls got into their camps in the first place.
If they were right with God as they should be, this evil act wouldn’t be in their camps, talk less of God saving or fighting on their behalf. It’s the same thing with we Christains: when we were still in the world, the devil had right over certain things, if not all, that concerned us. His ev’l act against us can even be lawful if our forefathers had handed us over to him then.”
“Hmmm…..that’s true.”
“Now the second scripture we read enlightens us that the souls of men can be sold in a market.”
“Yes I saw that too; but what kind of market could that be?”
“It’s not seen with the physical eyes, it’s spiritual. Let’s call it the cruel market- a market where nothing but pure wickedness is the order of the day. The dark places of the Earth are full of the habitations of cruelty.”
“Hmmm…..so if I should get you correctly, you’re saying it’s possible for my mom’s soul to be hunted and sold right?”
“Of course, it us written in the Bible.”
“But apart from souls, is there anything that can be sold in this cruel market?”
“Sure! Virtues could be sold, glories exchanged and talents killed……just any good thing given to a man by God can be tampered with there.”
“Hmmm…..so how do I pray then?”
“In verse 21 God said He’d deliver His people out of their hands, so that they’d be no more in their hands to be hunted.”
“So I should pray against forces hunting for the souls of my mom and those that want to exchange her soul for evil. I’d do just that, while we pray together and still ask Him the root of her sickness.” Emma said.

That midnight was more like every man to himself, as the two men had pressing issues to pray about.
As soon as they were done praying their joint prayer which lasted for half an hour, they parted to pray their personal prayers.
“Powers hunting for my soul, be disgraced in the name of Jesus.”
“Powers assigned to use my soul in place of a wicked soul, I break your power, in the name of Jesus.”
“Every satanic lion roaring against my family, be devoured by the Lion of the tribe of Judah, in the name of Jesus.”
“O Lord arise, defend your interest in my family, in Jesus name.”
“Oh, so the all powerful Kingsley Nwankwo has risen to fight against me???” He said as he gave a mocking laugh from where he stood with his mirror, watching the two men pray violently.
“Once bitten, twice shy. I know exactly how to win this time around.” He said as he began chanting.
