Episode 55

The bell was heard and Christiana took the children books to be marked while she watched them left the class for the break period happy.
“Be careful kids, the head teacher shouted and Christiana smiled.
“Ma I want to go see someone now, can I? Christy asked and she looked at her.
“Okay, she said and concentrated with what she was doing and Christiana took a pencil and text book into her bag and left.
She saw Regina head covered on the desk with few pupils who decided to play in the class.
She walked in slowly and greeted the head teacher while she coldly replied her.
She went over to Regina seat and slowly touched her hair, Regina raised her head and saw her but said nothing to her.
“You didn’t comb your hair? I’ll do that for you, she said taking a comb from her bag and combed her hair but Regina remained quiet.
“Here you look more beautiful now, Christy said touching her chin and saw the wound.
“How did you get this? She asked looking at it closely but Regina didn’t reply.
“Honey talk to me, how did you get this? She asked but she didn’t reply still.
“Okay fine let me treat the wound before it get infected, come with me, Christy said raising her up but Regina refused.
“Do you want the wound to get infected? Is that what you want then I’ll leave you, Christy angrily said and she weakly looked at her shaking her head.
“Now come with me, Christy said and Regina slowly took her bag and followed her.
Christiana took the first aid box from the office and carefully treated the wound and dressed it well,
“Is your father not aware of your wound? Why didn’t he treat it? Christy asked when she was done but Regina shook her head.
“What’s that? Christy asked when she couldn’t understand why she shook her head.
“My daddy doesn’t stay at home, he leaves in the morning and comes back in the night, Regina replied and her tummy began making sounds.
“You’re hungry? Christy asked.
“I couldn’t eat before coming to school, Regina replied.
“And I wanted giving you some pain relieves, what if I get you something to eat first, will you accept that? Christy asked.
“My daddy will beat me, Regina said.
“But your daddy doesn’t steady at home you said it yourself. Baby look I know you are obeying your father instruction and I admire that, but this time you need to eat something so I’ll give you this drugs, you’re burning up and you may fall very sick if I don’t do this, Christy said holding her and she nodded.
“Stay here, I’ll go get something from the canteen for you, Christiana said and hurried out of the office leaving her behind.
Regina saw the textbook in Christiana bag when she opened it to take a note, and she brought it out looking at it.

Few minutes later Christiana returned and saw her with the book,
“Sorry i was looking at it, Regina said and returned it but Christy smiled and gave her the nylon she returned with.
“Its okay, I brought it for you anyway, I was thinking you’ll let me teach you so you can meet up with your mates in class, Christy said and Regina sadly looked at her.
“Its okay darling, you are not a deuce, you are intelligent but you only need a little guidance and help and you’ll be the best, will you let me help you? Christy asked and Regina nodded.
“Thank you, eat up before the bell comes again, Christy said and Regina brought out the food she bought for her.
“Can i feed you? Christy asked when Regina was just looking at it and she looked at her.
“No one has ever feed me before, Regina said.
“No one? That’s bad, Christiana said and took the plate from her and carried her on her Laps.
“Then I’ll feed you, Christy said and Regina smiled at her.
“I’ll be your friend now, Regina said and Christiana looked at her,
“Thanks baby, now be free with me okay and promise you won’t be pushing me away, Christy said.
“I promise, she happily said and Christy nodded smiling back at her.
“When will you start teaching me? Regina asked.
“You’re sick, maybe when you get better, Christy replied.
“But I’m fine, what if we meet after school? Regina asked.
“That will be great baby, now let’s eat, Christy said and scooped a spoon for her………..

Bale arrived at the office and was welcomed by the man he earlier called.
“Thanks for accepting me to be here sir, so How is things going on here? Bale asked.
“Nothing much, just that the lady we found de.ad yesterday has a lot of complicating matters together with her daughter.
The little girl Catherine was lost and from what we heard, she was taken that evening together with her mother, but she was released and ermmm…The lady was killed, The man said.
“Looks like they were just interested in the lady and not her daughter, but then how is the daughter case complicated too? Bale asked.
“The little girl has 2 men fighting to be her father. One Mukasa and Pius is claiming to have her, so everything is just so confusing right now and we are still looking for whosoever killed her. But why are you interested in this case? The man asked and Bale smiled.
“You know me, I love cases like this because it makes me think hard you know, Bale said and the man had a call on phone.
“Excuse me, The man said and picked up.
“Yes, he said to the caller……. “Okay I’ll be there, he said again after few seconds and dropped the call.
“Okay Bale, I’m sorry but duty calls now, he said.
“I understand sir, thanks for your time, Bale said getting up giving him a handshake and they left the office together.
Bale drove with so many thoughts running through his head as he drove down to the address he saw in Regina details.
He arrived and asked the neighbors about Mukasa and he was shown the door.
He thanked them and walked up to it to see no one was home, then he drove back to the school.
But unknown to him, Ochen was following him and wondered who he was tracking………

Pius was able to feed and put Catherine to sleep and a cop walked in to protect her,
“Arhhh thank God you came, i have to run down to somewhere, Pius said.
“No problem, he said and Pius left.
Achen was getting more nervous as she kept checking the time wondering why he haven’t come home yet and her brother called which she picked up,
“Hey what’s up, are you at home now? He asked.
“Yes but for the past 2 hours now I haven’t seen him yet, she replied.
“Maybe he’s over there in the capital, calm down okay and keep me in touch, Akello said.
“Okay, but I hope there’s no problem over there? She asked.
“Forget about me, I’ll call you back, he said and dropped the call and she heaved….
