Bale woke up when he realized a little sleep passed through his eyes after he left for his room. He suddenly remembered what he did and ran to the sitting room but didn’t see Christiana,
“Christiana! He called out and went to her room but she locked the door inside.
“Christiana please open up I’m so sorry, Bale said hitting the door but Christiana still laid on the floor in tears ignoring him..
“Please I don’t know what came over me when i did that, please open up I beg you let me explain, Bale said but rather they heard the Siren of police entering into the compound.
Bale left the door to check it out while Christiana stood up from where she laid when she saw it was the police.
Bale opened the door and looked at them as they came out from the siren,
“Officers what’s going on? Bale asked.
“You’re under arrest, a cop replied.
“Wait, under arrest for what! What did I do I have the right to know! Bale shouted struggling with them and Ochen drove in immediately and came out.
“Don’t fight this and make things more difficult for yourself, peacefully surrender, a cop said and Ochen drew nearer..
“Is this your doing Ochen? What did I do! Bale Shouted on him and Christiana came out of the house drawing her bags and Ochen was surprised to see her that way.
“Wait where are you going to? Ochen asked holding her back but she fell on him crying.
“What did you do to her Bale! Ochen shouted on him.
“You didn’t answer my question first, why are you arresting me? Bale shouted back.
“Ochen has nothing to with this okay you know what you did, come with us! A cop said dragging but Bale resisted angrily looking at Ochen.
“What did he do to you? Ochen asked.
“Bale….Ba…. He raped me this morning, she replied crying.
“He did what? Ochen asked and pounced on Bale before anyone could knew it.
The cops found it difficult to raise Ochen up from Bale body as he pinned him down,
“How dare you do that to her? Was it not enough you kidn apped her daughter! Ochen shouted and Christiana eyes bulged out.
“Kidna pped who? I mean who kidn apped who? Christiana asked.
“It was Bale responsible for that and not Mukasa, he even tried ki.lling Mukasa this morning, Ochen replied and Christiana remembered the call Bale had after rapping her.
“So it was Mukasa he was talking about this morning asking if he’s de ad? Oh my God this is not happening! Christiana shouted going down crying while Ochen held her.
“You’ll pay for this I promise you! Bale shouted at Ochen.
“You’re not just a killer, you’re also a rapist and you should be the one to pay for your crimes. Take him away! Ochen shouted and Bale was dragged into the car.
“Where’s my daughter please give her to me! Christy cried.
“Regina is safe, but then are you okay? I’m sorry he did that to you, Ochen said.
“Its my fault, I shouldn’t have been here in the first place, maybe I got what I deserve, she said.
“Common don’t say that, Ochen said and hugged her as he watched Bale taken away.
“Please can I see my daughter? She asked.
“Sure, I’ll help with your bags, he said picking her bags into the car and locked the house, then drove away with her to the hospital.
They arrived in the hospital and James was so relieved to see Ochen back,
“You gat me afraid bro, glad you’re back, James said hugging him and greeted Christiana..
“What’s wrong you don’t look good, James said when he noticed her mood.
“Bale has been hurting her, Ochen replied.
“Are you serious? I’m so sorry for that, James said.
“Its okay, please how is my baby? She asked.
“Regina is good, the doctors already attended to her and she’s sleeping, James replied as they walked in going to where they are.
“And Mukasa? Ochen asked.
“He’s resting same with my uncle, James replied.
“What really happened? Christy asked and Ochen told her everything.
“I can’t still believe Bale could go far that way, what made him this violent and wicked? Christy asked and Ochen heaved.
“Its a good thing we are in the hospital, with what happened will you love to be checked? He asked diverting from the question and she shook her head.
“I’m fine, she replied..
“What if you get…. You know? He asked..
“I was safe, now can I see Regina? She asked..
“Yea, that’s her room, Ochen said pointing to a room and Christiana hurriedly went in..
“What were you talking about Christiana using signs? James asked.
“Never mind, Ochen replied.
“Are you hiding things from me now? James insisted and he heaved.
“Okay fine, Bale raped her, Ochen replied.
“Raped? That means they were not sleeping together as you were thinking, James said.
“So i see, and I was wrong, Ochen said and went in meeting Christiana hugging Regina on bed, and she woke up.
“Mommy where did you go to? Regina calmly asked.
“Honey I’m here now okay, what did they do to you? Christy asked.
“They locked me in the room, she replied.
“Its alright, you’re fine now and they won’t take you away from me again, Christy said and looked at Ochen.
“I don’t know how to thank you Ochen for everything, thank you so much, Christy said but Ochen only smiled and touched Regina cheeks and Mukasa walked in with the pastor who got to know what happened.
“Mukasa, sorry about what happened, she said going to him.
“Its fine I understand, Mukasa said and slowly went to Regina on bed and Ochen gave him the chance.
“Daddy, Regina called out and he touched her smiling.
“Can you ever forgive daddy sweetheart? He asked and Regina nodded.
“Yes daddy, she replied.
“Thank you my love, I know I have not been a good father to you, but one thing was sure, I did love you as my daughter but I was bent with so many circumstances around me that made me transfer aggressions. I’m sorry my daughter, Mukasa said and Regina smiled..
“I love you daddy, Regina said..
“I love you too my angel, Mukasa said and hugged her while Christiana weakly looked at them not knowing what to feel.
“Can you do something for me my daughter? The pastor asked Christiana.
“Me? What’s that sir? She asked.
“While i was praying with Mukasa before he was attacked, God showed Me something and the only way Mukasa can be free is through you, The pastor said.
“I don’t understand sir, Christiana said.
“Years ago you said something with a broken heart, that prayer was answered and sealed, and only you can lift it. Can you please lift the cusse you placed on Mukasa? That’s why his life is this way, the pastor said and Christiana gasped and looked at Mukasa who was surprised himself.
“Pastor you mean i was cussed? Mukasa asked him..
“Yes, he replied and a tear dropped from Christiana eyes as she faced down when she remembered the day she cussed him..
Mukasa gently fell on his knees,
“Please Christiana I know I was dev’lish and I did the most terrible things to you, please I beg you to forgive me. Take me out of this misery I beg you in the name of God before I die in it, Mukasa said and touched her legs and she held him.
“Please don’t, I never knew what I said was heard. Yes I was broken when you took Regina from me with all my sufferings, she was all I had and I had no choice than to cry out what I was feeling.
I have forgiven you Mukasa, and yes let the curse be lifted please. I can’t really remember all what I said back then but I pray God forgive you and restore back all you’ve lost Mukasa, Regina said..
“Amen! They chorused and Christiana held him up and he hugged her.
“Thank you, thank you so much, Mukasa whispered…………
