“Calm down Christy, is Bale at home? Ochen asked.
“Yes, she replied.
‘Can you do something for me please? Go check on Bale and if he’s at home you let me know, he said.
“But why? She asked.
“Just do it, he said and dropped the call and she sluggishly stood up from where she sat and left the room. She called on Bale and checked his room but he wasn’t there, then she peeped outside and saw his car wasn’t parked outside and Ochen called again.
“Hello, he’s not at home, you wanted speaking with him? She asked and Ochen closed his eyes and decided not to tell her Bale knows something about Regina kidn apping.
“Ermmm not really but I wanted checking on him, but what exactly happened? I mean how was your daughter kidna pped? He asked and Christiana told him everything.
“Who knew you wanted traveling today? He asked.
‘Bale and my mom, she replied.
“Is that so? And Mukasa is your suspect? He asked.
“Yes, she replied.
“Okay its late now but tomorrow I’ll give you a call and errmmm.. Don’t tell Bale that I called, Ochen said.
“If you say so, she said and sniffed.
‘And don’t worry yourself too much, I promise you Regina will be saved, he said.
“I don’t like that encouragement at all, I need my daughter out of that place, she said.
“She will be out okay, I’ll Call you tomorrow, Ochen said and dropped the Call.
Christiana sat down on the sofa and the question Ochen asked her repeated in her head.
“He’s the second person to ask me that question, but can Bale have anything to do with Regina kidn apping? But no, he takes care of her and dropped us off himself, why will he do such a thing? And for what reason? She kept thinking and Bale drove in, he went in and was surprise to see Christiana waiting for him,
“I thought you were sleeping already, why are you still awake? He asked.
“Nothing, where are you coming back from? She asked.
“To check on someone, he replied and she nodded.
“I’ll go to bed then, she said and got up and he held her.
“You were drinking? Christy asked when she perceived the stench of alcohol on him..
“Just a little, he replied.
“Bale let me go, she said and he held her more.
“Common Christy you need some comfort, don’t you think so? Please spend the night in my room today please , he said and she looked at him.
“Are you drunk or something? Let go of me! She shouted and freed herself from his grip.
“I’m sorry, you’re right I’m drunk, he said but she angrily left for her room……
“Its so clear, Bale took that little girl but then did you see them to be sure? James asked.
“Nope, it had a gate and you know I can’t drive in, Ochen replied.
“I admire your courage, but what if you were seen? James asked.
“Let’s not worry about that, let’s think of how we can invade that building, Ochen said and James burst out laughing.
“Seriously Ochen? You mean just the two of us can invade a building filled with weapons? I see your love has made you go crazy, James said.
‘Okay now what should we do? Common say something and stop joking, Ochen said.
“The only thing we have to do is bring the police into this, let them know and they will do their job, James said.
“We have no prove James, that’s where I’m scared, Ochen said.
“Hello wake up, my uncle is a cop, first thing tomorrow morning we will go there and tell him everything, James said and Ochen got up immediately.
“I totally forgot about that, we are going to his place now okay. Every moment that passes is putting that little girl in danger, tomorrow she need to be rescued and we have to do something now, Ochen said and James yawned.
“Please Ochen in God name not today, I need to sleep, James said.
“Get up lazy as s let’s go! Ochen said dragging him up.
“Wait like this? James asked showing him his dressing.
“So? This will show your uncle its urgent and serious, Ochen replied and dragged James along with him.
They arrived at James uncle place and met him just about to go to bed, but he had to listen to them and heaved.
“Did you get the number? He asked.
“Yes sir, here it is, Ochen said giving him a little piece of paper and the man smiled.
“I want to specially thank you for disclosing those fools residence, we have been looking for them for months now. And if we succeed to get one of them in our custody, they either commits suicide or die a strange death so their hideout won’t be revealed. Now here is their hideout in my hand, I so much admire your braveness and Tomorrow we will be storming there, the man said.
“Wait storming? Please there’s a little girl with them, what if she get hurt in the process? James asked.
“Don’t worry we will take care of that, but as for this Bale of a guy, he will be seriously dealt with, he’s a bas tard to do such a thing. I mean that’s so ill of him, The man said and James looked at Ochen.
“Actually uncle, Ochen is Bale twin, James said.
“What! And you’re reporting him to us? The man asked.
“Yes, because I want him to be stopped and taught a lesson, i don’t want such a life for him, Ochen replied and the man nodded..
‘Once again I admire you, don’t worry tomorrow we will be there. I’ll speak with my men this night and keep them informed, the man said.
“can your men be trusted with such a secret? They may have link with them, you know an insider, James said.
“I trust my men with my life and i can swear they are trustworthy, the man said..
“Alright sir, what if we come with you, I want to be there in case there’s anything I can do to help, Ochen said.
“not me please, Ochen let them do their job, do you know what is going to happen there? What if there will be an open fire, how will you stand it with no weapon to defend yourself? James asked.
“I understand and i know there will be open fire between them, but still i want to be there, Ochen replied.
“Alright there’s no problem, let me have your number, he said and Ochen quickly called it out for him..
“I’ll call you when we are about to leave so you’ll join us, the man said.
“Thank you very much sir, we appreciate, Ochen said.
“No i should thank you, you’ve been of very good help to us, the man said and they got up to leave.
“Okay now can i sleep in peace? James asked as Ochen was driving back home.
“If you want, ochen replied and sighted someone.
“Wait a minute, Ochen said and reversed back immediately.
“What again this time! Who did you see? James asked.
“I think i saw Mukasa entering a shop, Ochen replied and stopped and hurriedly came down while James followed.
They got into the shop and Ochen passed a heavy blow to Mukasa and he fell while James held him.
“Where is Regina you bas tard where is she! Ochen shouted on him.
“What are you talking about? You took her from me don’t you remember? Mukasa asked and was helped to stand up.
“Liar! Didn’t you kidnap her today? I know you and Bale is behind this because i saw Bale in your house that day i took Regina away, now where is she! Ochen shouted.
“Regina is kidn apped? I have nothing to do with that and yes Bale visited me telling me to take Regina away from Christiana to a far place, but i refused and told him Christiana also has a right over the girl and he left, Mukasa said.
“If that is true, why did you run away when the cops came looking for you? James asked.
“The cops came looking for me? What did i do? Mukasa asked.
“Because you are the suspect, Christiana said so, Ochen replied.
“Christ! I didn’t do anything and I’m not aware. This morning i was in the hospital and i got to find out i was fathering another man child, the DNA result was given to us and I was broken when another child was taken away from me again by her father. I went into a church and settled there, and the kind pastor just gave me this money to get something for us to eat, if you don’t believe me i can take you to the church myself, Mukasa said and Ochen looked at James.
“Fine, let’s go, Ochen said.
“Okay, but first i need to buy what i came for, Mukasa said.
“Carry on with it, we are waiting outside, James said and took Ochen away and they waited by their car still very surprised at the turn up of event.
“I can see he’s telling the truth, but i need to discuss more with him, Ochen said and James yawned.
“God I’m so sleepy, James said rubbing his eyes and Mukasa came out holding a nylon bag from the shop and he approached them himself.
“Let’s go, the distance is not far, Mukasa said..
“Get into the car, my friend is already weak to walk, Ochen said and opened up and they drove off……….
