CHEATED SEASON 2 : EPISODE 21 – THE END

SEASON 2 EPISODE 33

“What? Why?” Eunice asked with a widened eye.

“Don’t ask me any foolish question mortal, just do as I say.”

“I’m sorry I can’t obey that order.” Eunice said coldly as Hamen stared at her in shock.

“What did you just say?”

“You heard me. That you had to sell your soul to get to this height doesn’t mean everyone would do the same.”

“What nonsense are you saying? And what does my soul got to do with my order.”

“Have you no feelings? This is my granddaughter we’re talking about. I may be many things, but family is precious.”

“Now you listen to me. This soul right here…..” He said, pointing to Vivian on her screen.

“…..has a bright destiny I can’t afford to watch fulfilled. She has a very important role to play in the life of the one that made me lose Mbakwe.”

“Well, I’ve always known she’s one with a bright…..”

“You still don’t understand. You don’t need to anyway. Terminate her!”

“I will not!”

“What? You dare disobey my orders?”

“You ty understand. This soul is my own blood.”

“She’s the future wife of Kingsley. I won’t let that marriage stand because if it does, that spells doom on us all.”

“The highest I can do is divert or manipulate her to commit marital error.” Eunice said as Hamen boiled with anger.

“You need to understand….”

“Understand what? You’re talking like I didn’t have a family; but I gave them up to be where I am now.”

“We’re not the same.”

“Eunice, I command you as your superior to terminate this girl.”

“I will not!”

“Very well then, do as you wish but you won’t get away with this.” He said and with that left.

Eunice never knew she still had human feelings until now.
She sympathetically stared at the picture of Vivian and grieved silently.

“First my womb, now my only grandchild. Is there ever going to be a deliverance from this captivity I’ve found myself in?
Vivian can you be strong enough to pull me out of this cage?” She thought silently as she sighed sadly, put the frame down and left…..

Mr. Frank was about to take a nap when his phone interrupted him.

He had successfully retrieved his sim and was using the phone Mr. Desmond bought for him.

“Hello?”

“Hello Sir, good day Sir.” The caller said. The voice sounded familiar to Frank but he couldn’t place where he had heard that voice before.

“Yes, good day. How may I help you?”

“Sir please where are you?”

“What do you mean where are you? Do I even know who I’m speaking with?”

“Oh sorry Sir. It’s me Sir…..it’s me Fedrick.” He said as Frank observed the phone number for a while.

“Fedrick? But this isn’t your number.”

“It’s a new number I got not too long ago Sir…….Sir where are you?”

“I can’t relay that information to you now, why?”

“Sir we need you back in office. Everything is crumbling and……your presence is needed, Sir.”

“My presence. I don’t understand, what do you mean?” Frank asked, readjusting himself to show rapt attention.

“Sir, the whole body regrets all they’ve done to you and are requesting you return back to office.

They’re even willing to give back the car and house they took from you, if that’s what it’d take to have you back.” Fedrick said

“Wow.” Frank thought, but not loud that Fedrick could hear.

“Sir, ever since you left, things have gone from bad to worse. Sir we need you here, where are you?”

Ever since his little incident with Esther, K has been in deep thoughts.

No matter how deep he though, he could place what the outburst was all about or what triggered it.

He had called to be sure she got home safe and maybe wisely find what went wrong but she neither picked nor returned his calls.

“My journal.” He recalled as he reached out for it to review the insight he had received about her.

“No deep relationship with God…..unaddressed battles……isn’t fit to carry the weight of my destiny.” He read out silently and was confused for a moment.

He couldn’t place or relate what he had received with her outburst.

“God, I still don’t understand. Please make thing a little more clear to me.”

Richard is beginning to get more and more frustrated in his place of work, as the months go by.

It seemed K was getting stronger, able to discharge his duties diligently, consequently stealing the hearts of everyone he worked with; while Richard was finding it difficult to discharge his duties as expected as he obviously had no knowledge of the position he was occupying.

This made the management team and the rest of the colleagues he works with repel from him.

Occupying a crucial position, his negative attitude towards work was beginning to adversely affect the growth of the company.

Being in charge of sealing contract deals, they lost a lot of contracts because of his lack of knowledge and lackadaisical behavior.

As a result of this, his work had to be overseen by his immediate boss, which happens to be Kingsley, before taking any further step.

This decision by the board of directors drove Richard crazy, and made him hate K the more but wasn’t unable to express himself until one day when he was summoned by him.

“What is this?” K asked

“The contract deal we intend sealing with the contractor.” Alice responded.

“With this copy? The pricing here is faulty, depicting a clear lack of customer insights and the strategies here are flawed! Who is the personnel that prepared this copy?”

“Mr. Richard, Sir.”

“Oh Lord.” He said, his forehead with his four fingers.

“Please, call him in.” He said as she left.
He prayed silently in his heart fro wisdom to handle Richard as he knew well, he wasn’t happy with anything he did.

“You sent for me.” Richard said without a knock and walked majestically to have a seat.

“Yes, I did. It’s about the contract copies you made.”

“Okay.”

“I don’t think we can win this contract with this kind of copy.

Remember other companies are interested in this so the competition is very high and the best deal would be selected, which I don’t envision us in.”

“Okay, so what would you have me do.”

“I suggest a diligent research should be made to put up a more convincing copy if we are to win this huge contract deal.”

“So you’re the boss of me now right, tell me what to do?”

“Richard please, let’s put our individual differences aside and work on this goal.”

“To he.ll with you, Kingsley, to he.ll with you!” Richard snapped, hitting K’s desk with his fist. This startled K because he wasn’t expecting it.

“If you think you’re ever going to be the boss of me, then you lie! Excuse me.” He said and with that walked out.

Vivian found herself in a beautiful environment. She kept smiling to herself, enjoying the scent of the flowers there.
Her smiles shortly faded away as she stumbled on a part of the field that wasn’t cultivated.

She stared at it for a while and wondered why it was so, as the soil was very rich and with fertilizers all over the place which made the place stink as it laid waste.

“I’m so disappointed in you. You’ve wasted my investment and resources over your life.” She suddenly heard a voice say with no one in sight.

“Me? This can’t possibly be my garden. I’ve been trying my best to please God and……”

“Your best never met the standard of the Almighty. You lived beyond heaven’s expectations over your life.” The voice responded

“Heaven’s expectations……heaven’s expectations…..I don’t……I don’t seem to understand.”

“Well you don’t have to, your season of grace has elapsed and you’re going to be replaced.”

“Replaced? By who? Why? What have I lost?”

“Have you grown so cold that you don’t know when you lose something valuable?!” The voice thundered, making Vivian shudder that she fell to the floor.

It was at that point she noticed her garment, hands and legs had been stained with the mess of the place.

“I’m so disappointed in you.”

“No no no, I can’t take this any longer, I can’t!” A man said, storming out of the house in anger, with his wife following and trying to beg him.

“Papa Flora please calm down.” She begged as she managed to catch up with him.

“Calm down? How can you ask me to calm down ehn? Tell me what would a married woman be doing in her father’s house for months now, when her husband isn’t deceased.” He said as he went back inside the house.

“Listen young lady, you’re a married woman and you have a home.

You don’t hear my surname any longer so I don’t see any reason I should keep providing for you.

I give you three days…three solid days to get yourself together and return to your husband’s house or else you’d see the other side of me. Nonsense!”
