Epilogue

“You may now kss the bride.” The pastor said as the newest couple in town smiled sheepishly and obeyed the instruction.

“At last! Thank you Jesus for taking perfect control.” Kelvin said to himself, glancing frequently at his wife as a short sermon was going on.

“You’ve done as you promised Lord, and perfected all that concerns me.” Rose thought as she smiled in response to her husband who lovingly held her hands.

Soon the service was over and the reception followed immediately.

Kevin’s and Rose’s friends were present and of course, presented nice gifts to the couple.

Lilian who was Rose’s chief bridesmaid, did well in maintaining a good organization and assisting the bride where necessary.

They were about leaving when Lilian whispered to Rose’s ear.

“Ohhhh…..look who we have here.” She said as Rose turned to see who it was.

She immediately flashed a smile at the said person and waved as well.

“You’ve really really moved on babe. See the way you just threw a friendly smile at Emma just now.
Way to go, girl!” Lilian teased.

“Oh please…..I’m a married woman now. Not just any married woman, the one who’s got God involved in her case.
I have nothing against him, you know.
I’m even the one that invited him here sef.” Rose responded

” Wow….you’ve really grown o. Congratulations to you.
Welcome to the clique o, I’m sure from now on, you’d understand what it means to get married.” Lilian said with a winked as they both giggled.

“Welcome honey.” Florence said, greeting her husband at the door.

“Ohh my pretty girl is glowing today! How are you?” He said with a light peck.

“I’m doing well. I made your favourite today, love some?”

“Of course! But I’d have to take a bath first to understand myself because mehn, I’m super exhausted.”

“Okay then.” She said as she helped him with his briefcase.

“This one you’re looking at me and smiling, is there something I’m missing.” Kingsley asked on noticing his wife had glanced at him in smiles for the umpteenth time now.

“Well, yeah there’s something you’re missing. But finish your food first, then I’d let you guess wassup.” She said with a funny look as K giggled with a nod and pushed his meal away from him.

“What is it? You lost your appetite?” Florence asked a bit scared.

“Far from that. I want to know what’s making my wife this happy.” He said as he beckoned to her and made her sit on his laps.

“Well, okay but you’d have to guess first.”

“You got a new job? Or a promotion?”

“Huh? No…..it’s something that has to do with us, no just me.” She said with a fake frown.

“Okay uhmmm…..mom’s coming over? You’ve seen your dream apartment?”

“What kind of wild guesses are you making for crying out loud?” She said as she laughed loudly.

“Well, that’s because I’m out of guesses. Just tell me already, will you?” He pleaded as he caressed her shoulders.

“Okay o, since you’re a bad guesser you don spoil my show.” She said, rolled her eyes and continued.

“Well, it’s been three months we’ve as lived man and wife, right?” She began.

“True.”

“And…….we’ve been just two in this house for so long so……God decided to multiply us.” She said and stared at him, hoping he’d get the logic.

“Yeah you know, be fruitful and multiply.” She said as K stared at her, down to to her stomach area and back at her again.
“You’re serious? Is it what I’m thinking?”

“How can I possibly be joking, babe? Yes I’m serious, and it’s probably what you’re thinking.” She said as she bit her lips in excitement.

“You can’t be serious! On my God! I’m going to be a father soon. Really?
You mean I’d have a responsibility asides you……asin someone to cater for.

You mean I’d have someone to share my experience with and he’d learn from it? Seriously?” He said excitingly with no breathing space.

“Yes, yes, yes! Wait…..he? Who told you it’s a boy?”

“I’ve seen it already sweetheart, it’s a boy. My son!” He said as he lifted her up.

“You of all people know I’m scared of heights. Put me down please, this excitement is too much.” She said with a frightened voice, still giggling though.
