CHEATED SEASON 2 : EPISODE 21 – THE END
SEASON 2 EPISODE 28
“You need to replace your phone and retrieve your sim if you can’t find it anymore.” A thought popped up on Frank’s head as he searched for his phone once more that day.
He could tell he was merely obeying his instincts when searching diligently for his phone because left to him, he doesn’t see a need to know its whereabouts.
“I’m a forgotten being afterall, so I don’t understand why I’m stressing myself in that manner.” He said as he crashed on his bed, tired.
The easy way out would’ve been to get a new phone at least, as suggested by his inner thoughts, but he still wasn’t financially balanced.
After much thought about this, he waved it off.
Kelvin has been speaking with Rose for quite a while now, ever since he got her number.
True to his words, he recommended her to his female friends, out of which one became her regular customer.
Though Kelvin was all caring and friendly and never sounded like one who wanted something, Rose never let her guards down as she was conscious of when they chat and how long they did so.
He had once tried asking her out on a date one evening just to get enough time and chance to talk with her for a long time, but she claimed busy.
“Once bitten, twice shy.” She kept saying to herself each time she declined any idea from him to get closer than they already were; or better still, to get closer than she allowed him to be.
However, there was a day she got so hooked to their conversation online that she forgot her usual time she’d say goodnight.
Kelvin noticed this was so happy and she didn’t for any reason check the time to discover it was past 9pm.
He kept bringing up topics that interested her and were relatable to her, so the chat wouldn’t end anytime soon.
This however didn’t last long as she suddenly gave an excuse to end chats for the night.
“It’s 9:30pm already. I want to pray, plan my day, and read a productivity book till I fall asleep.” She texted
“Ohh……” Ken replied with a sad emoji.
“Why is she building a wall around herself so high that it’s not easy to be penetrated? Or has she been hurt before?” He thought to himself as she read her next message saying goodnight.
“Do you have like ten more minutes to spare, at least? I’m really enjoying the value I’m gaining from our chat.” He typed and sent, hoping and waiting for a positive response.
“Not really. I’m thirty minutes behind schedule already.”
“Okay, goodnight then. Maybe next time, right?”
“I can’t give my word on that.”
“Hmmm…. alright then. Goodnight, sweet dreams.”
“Yeah you too. Pray for me .”
“Yeah sure .”
“Okay bye.”
“Bye.”
“It’s been over a month now since I’ve been trying to get to be close to her but she’s just friend zoning abi brother zoning me.” Kelvin thought to himself as soon as she went offline, rough-handling his hair.
“Am I sure I heard God clearly on this or it was my instincts or mere feelings speaking?” He thought
“No now, I’m sure of her. I mean, I know exactly how God speaks to, and directs me.” He reasoned further as he recalled the day that they met and how they did.
“You need to calm down and let God have His way. You’re trying to do this all by yourself.” An inner voice suggested to him.
“How? I was on my own o, sleeping on this issue as you instructed and then you gave me a clue she’s the one for me. So how am I trying to do this all by myself?”
“Still, you need to remain calm and let God convince her at her own end.” The voice responded calmly.
“Hmmm….. Dmn, this is harder than I imagined.”
Rose was about drifting off to sleep after reading a book as planned, when her conversation with Kelvin crossed her mind.
She opened to his chats while offline and scrolled down, smiling at how long they got to chat for the day.
“Babe you need to focus! Concentrate! This is no time for distractions.” She reminded herself on noticing how smiley she was reading the chats.
She quicky switched off her phone and went to bed afterwards.
Mr. Frank and Mr. Desmond were having a nice time at the veranda, talking randomly about the political issues of the country.
This happened rarely as Frank tended to avoid everyone at home, especially after the whole drama with Favour.
“But Mr. Frank, it…..”
“Please, you can call me Frank.” He cut in with smiles.
“But you’re a well known person in your state.”
“Oh come on, that’s in the past…….wait, what did you just say?” Frank asked in surprise. He remembers leaving the state he was based for where he currently was, but can’t recall telling anyone or revealing his true identity.
“I work with my boss, Sir. So I know your status and true identity.”
“Wow….I see.”
“Yes Sir. So you deserve to be treated with respect.” He said as Frank let out a smile.
“Respect you say? That hasn’t gotten me anywhere for a while now, you know.” Mr. Frank said, as his facial expression changed to a sad one.
“Don’t be down Sir. I know God is working out something for you, I’m sure of it.” Mr. Desmond said in a bid to cheer him up.
Frank didn’t know whether to believe what he had just said or take it as nothing; but since he has been confessing Isa. 43:19 for sometime now, he knew he shouldn’t give a chance to doubt.
“By the way Sir, I decided to get you this today.” He heard his friend say, snapping him out of his thoughts.
“A phone?” He asked to be sure of what he was seeing.
“Yes Sir.”
“How did you know I needed one?”
“I didn’t really know you did, I just felt the urge to get one for you. I delayed at first because I know you should have a phone but…..I’m just obeying orders.”
“Orders? From who?”
“From God’s Spirit.”
“Hmmm…..” Frank thought deeply about it.
He had also had a persistent urge to search for his phone, all to no avail.
He had already given up, saying he didn’t know where he kept it again and now this.
Was this a way of God speaking to him?
Had God finally counted Him worthy to be communicated with?
“Is this really how God works?” He kept thinking deeply to himself.
“Sir, are you here?” He heard Mr. Desmond’s voice say.
“Yes, yes I am. And quit with the Sir thing already, please.”
“Okay but you seemed absent-minded. Is anything the problem?”
“No, not at all. I was just thinking……where do you worship?” Frank asked as he was thrown aback by the question.
“Sir?”
“I mean which church do you attend?” Frank asked as Mr. Desmond stared at him surprised.
According to what had been circulated in his office when he was first assigned the job of caring for his well-being, Mr. Frank could be anything, but never a church goer.
He does contribute to church projects to win the hearts of the citizens there, but never did anyone she him step his feet into one.
“But….. why the question, Sir?” Mr. Desmond managed to ask.
“Beginning from next Sunday, I want to become a member of your church.”
Kingsley could be seen going through his prayer journal.
He had just ended his 21 days fast, praying and asking for revelations about the two ladies in his life.
Though it’s been a month since he resumed to his new office, he has been careful not to let the stress that comes with it affect his prayer life, or hinder him from having time for his God.
“Hmmm….. God really is a revealer of secrets.” K said to himself as he kept glancing through his journal where he had written down insights he received concerning Esther and Vivian, which had the details of why they both weren’t fit for him, as he had requested from God to reveal to him.
From the ‘result’, he was happy Esther wasn’t for him because he never really liked her in the first place, but had mixed feelings when he also discovered in the place of prayer that Vivain wasn’t his too.
Because of his mixed feelings, he further requested for all qualities that rendered them, especially Vivian, unfit to be his wife, to be displayed one after the other naturally in the next one month, for further conviction.
“Lord, once these qualities displayed here play out on their own and it’s certain none of them are for me, please direct each lady’s attention away from me.” He prayed silently, and with faith.
Rachel received the idea of turning a bottle of water to the blood of Jesus through faith, one of the days she was meditating on the scriptures.
“Blood of Jesus, speak over, purify and saturate my home, in Jesus name.” She would say in faith, putting the speaking and purifying blood of Jesus into practice.
She had been doing this for almost a week now, but in the living room, kitchen and the master’s bedroom alone, because the house was too big that before you could get to all rooms, the bottle in her hand would just have little amount and she had to refill it again because it mustn’t get completely used up.
One day, she took it upon herself to get this sprinkled in every room, though she knew that would require some amount of stress.
She had gone upstairs where her husband had placed a CCTV camera for reasons best known to him, and noticed a particular door under lock and key.
“What is this place?” She wondered as she tried to open it to do her business and get out, but it was lost.
“That’s strange.” She thought to herself. She had hardly been anywhere asides the kitchen, the living and guest room downstairs that she didn’t know this room or for what purpose it was this secured.
Soon, an idea flashed through her mind and she dropped the bottle on the floor just by the locked door, and went to the master’s bedroom to reach for a master’s key.
“Finally.” She said as her plan worked and the door opened.
Determined to do sprinkle the blood of Jesus in every nook and cranny of the house, she pushed the door open and to her utmost surprise,……..
